Summary

Robotnik MkII, formerly Robo-Robotnik, comes from another zone where he took over all of Mobius and defeated its version of Sonic. While Sonic Prime and the Freedom Fighters of Mobius Prime thought that they had gotten rid of him a long time ago, Robo-Robotnik survived because of his ability to transfer his consciousness into another robotic body. He has come to Mobius Prime to conquer it and defeat Sonic and the Freedom Fighters, who defeated the original Robotnik Prime.

He once used Snively as a lackey (completely aware of the fact that Snively caused the death of Robotnik Prime) and for a time he posessed the ability to roboticize anyone with a touch of his hand. He planned to roboticize the overlanders, led by Colin Kintobor, that were living in Robotropolis thinking the city is a safe haven from the “warlike and horrible” furries. It was partially foiled by Sonic and Sally, though Hope lost her family to roboticization. Later, he lost Robotropolis due to a missile attack launched by Station Square’s O.T.I.S. and the Bem returned him to being a flesh and blood overlander.

More recently, Robotnik has apparently not been in touch with Snively, who has defected to join the Freedom Fighters. Instead, he relies on the aid of his robot “daughter,” Mecha, and A.D.A.M., a sentient computer virus.

This entry describes the version of Robotnik formerly known as Robo Robotink, originating in a parallel zone. For other versions of Robotnik, see Dr Robotnik (disambiguation).

Summary

Snively is small and physically weak, but he’s still quite formidable as an opponent. Assisting Robotnik in his takeover of Mobius at the end of the Great War, he served as Robotnik’s second-in-command. However, the term “lackey” sometimes fit Snively better. He claims to have more technical and computer skills than Robotnik does, and often came up with the some plans. At the same time, his long nose and high nasal voice often leaves him subject to ridicule from Sonic and the Freedom Fighters.

Changing the DNA-based organic coding in the Ultimate Annihilator so that it would only effect Doctor Robotnik, Snively successfully killed his uncle. Because he continued his villainous ways, he soon after landed in jail. Snively and several other inmates escaped and due to his perceived leaderhsip role in the escape he became their de facto leader.

Because he was promised revenge against his father, Snively worked as Robotnik Mk II’s assistant and allowed himself to be roboticized in a failed attempt to get the overlanders to let themselves be roboticized. However, he was later restored to flesh by Ceneca-9009. After the Xorda conflict, Snively disappeared into obscurity, but later returned to help the Freedom Fighters as a member of the “Brain Trust” subdivision. Living in Knothole, he developed a bond with his step-sister, Hope Kintobor.

In spite of his tendency to betray his allies, Robotnik recruited Snvely once again. Snively left Knothole with barely a word to anyone but Hope, and he regained his spot as Robotnik’s lackey. Possibly because Snively has proven his cunning many times over, Robotnik seems to hold him in higher regard than he once did, and Snively now wears a green uniform similar in design to Robotnik’s own clothing.

Summary

When the Freedom Fighters returned from space, Sonic met Mina in the re-named “Robotropolis” while she was attempting to find Robotnik (SA-style Eggman) so she could find out why her family had to be roboticized. Sonic stopped her and Mina is currently living in Knothole. Rosie gave Mina the responsibility of baby-sitting some of the younger children. Mina first displayed that she also has super speed when she saved Sonic and herself from an attack from Com-bots by getting them away from them. She’s not anywhere near as fast as Sonic. Sonic was originally the only friend she seemed to have in Knothole and she likes him a lot. However, she now has a major singing career and love (Ash) of her own.

Summary

E-102 “g” was the second in Eggman’s new line of advanced targeting robots, after E-101 “b“. He was created for several purposes, one of which being to serve as crew to Dr. Eggman’s new ship, the Egg Carrier, and to assist him in carrying out his latest diabolical scheme. Gamma’s first test upon creation was to face his brother, Beta, in combat. Gamma easily defeated Beta, and proved his worth as becoming crew to the Egg Carrier.

E-102’s first mission, as with the rest of his “brothers”, the E-100 series, is to retrieve a tailed frog. After finding it in Station Square, he wins the admirition of Dr. Eggman, who then dismisses the other robots as worthless scrap metal and disposes them in such a manner. Gamma is then assigned to retrieve a bird from the imprisoned Amy Rose. When ordering her to give him the bird, Amy refused, which confused him. The bird then flew up to Gamma, and something came over him, something that wasn’t in his programming. In an odd display of emotion, Gamma releases Amy and the bird from their prison cell and tells them to escape.

After being convinced by Amy to not kill Sonic and ignore Eggman’s orders, E-102 escapes the now demolished Egg Carrier, and overrides his programming to give himself a new mission: free the rest of his “brothers” by destroying their robotic shells, therefore releasing the little birdy trapped inside. This mission eventually leads him back to the ocean bound remains of the Egg Carrier, where he squares off against a heavily upgraded E-101.

After destorying each other, the birds trapped within E-101 and E-102 are finally released. E-102 “g” was completley destroyed.

Summary

In all of the Sonic universe, there probably isn’t a character as complex as Dr. Eggman (known to some as Dr. Ivo Robotnik). Don’t let his foolish appearance convince you he has a simple personality. His one goal in life is, for reasons know only to him, to gain ultimate power to take over the world. The only thing standing in the path of his dreams of world conquest is Sonic the Hedgehog, who he sees as his fierce archenemy. It is unknown when Sonic and Eggman first met, but whatever the case it seems no matter what he tries, Sonic and his pesky friends always find a way to ruin his plans.

In order to gain ultimate power, Dr. Eggman must collect the 7 Chaos Emeralds, which hold unlimited mystic powers, beyond our comprehension. Once he has these, the world will be his for the plucking.

In order to keep anything from standing in his way, Eggman has created his own trademark robots known as Badniks. These robots absorb their juice from the cute, fuzzy little animals seen hopping around various locations. But no matter how strong his robots are, or how well his tactics are devised, he can never seem to bag just one victory, and always falls at the mercy of his arch rival and his friends!

But there is one thing that can be said for certain, and that is no matter how many losses this man faces, no matter how humiliating the defeat, Eggman NEVER gives up! No matter how fierce an opponant he sees the hedgehog to be, he never lets himself believe that he will lose!

Summary

E.V.E was created by Robotnik with DNA from him and Sonic. His main attempt was using it/her to get rid of Sonic. However, he was close but his creation backfired as that EVE learned too much and the DNA from Sonic overpowered from what she got with Robotnik. The resulted in what was thought to be annihilation of the great Robotnik but as it turned out, was just a transfer to a orbitting server powered by a different dimensional Robotnik (RoboRobonik)

E.V.E. was last seen escaping into the vast reaches of space and her location was unknown until Sonic came across her, destroying worlds and incorporating their raw materials into herself. Sonic persuaded her to stop, and she destroyed herself.

Summary

Probably one of the most diabolical of all of Dr. Eggman’s creations, Metal Sonic was designed to be the perfect match for his nemesis, Sonic the Hedgehog. And by all means he was, and packs in a few more dirty tricks than his organic counterpart. Metal Sonic’s sleek design and size, unlike Dr. Eggman’s first clunky and slow excuse for a Sonic clone, Silver Sonic, corrospond almost exactly to that of Sonic. But more important, it is Sonic’s speed that Metal Sonic can match.

The first time Eggman tested his creation was on the Little Planet, where he pitted Sonic against his ingenius doppleganger. Of course, regardless of pulling a few nasty tricks like electric shocks, inevitably met his fate by running into a wall. It seems that the early version of LIPS A.I. couldn’t keep up with his speed…

After being rebuilt, Eggman upgraded Metal Sonic with the very special ability to transform into giant, red mutant version of himself, and used him in his attempt to steal the Chaos Rings from Carnival Island. In this form, he packed a good punch, but it really defied the whole “sleek and fast” idea of his design, and in the long run made him no more effective.

One more important ability Metal possess is to imitate the attacks of his enemies, a technique used mostly while guarding the Death Egg II. Attacks Metal Sonic could use included Spin Attack, Propeller Dash, Knuckle Glider, Magic Hammer, Tongue Attack, Bomb Attack, Shoulder Throw, and Super Spin.

Though Metal Sonic is a mindless drone controlled to obey Dr. Eggman’s every command, he like other characters, enjoys kart racing now and again in his ultra speedy little car, the Blue Devil. Of course, why he would need such a thing in the first place is quite confusing.

For now, Metal Sonic rests within a tube in Eggman’s lab. But I seriously doubt this is the last we’ll see of him.

Summary

Living right alongside the bustling world, are the Chao. The Chao are mysterious creatures, with the ability to morph themselves into the physical shape of any other living animald. They also obtain these animals’ special abilities, to create an infinite variety of shapes, characters and movements. Chao are popular as pets and well known for their cute appearance and playful nature.

Summary

Charmy Bee is the most sophisticated of the Chaotix… this guy knows his P’s and Q’s – perhaps that may be because he’s also the reluctant Crown Prince of the Bee Realm! Charmy flew to Floating Island several years ago in search of new types of flowers – but that was all not totally true – yes, he did go exploring but there was a deeper reason as well. Charmy was a runaway. Not wanting to accept the Princehood forced upon him by his parents Charmy ran off to the Floating Isle, and only his best friend, Mello, knew. It was there he met Mighty first and eventually joined the Chaotix when he and the others helped out Knuckles save the Freedom Fighters. Only he can handle tricky problems in such a cool and charming way, making him an invaluable member of the team. Charmy’s small size and light weight make him a difficult target, which is compounded by his ability to fly out of any danger. His unique Buzz-dash can tear right through the most powerful of Badniks with relative ease; and using Ring Power, this little honey bee is even strong enough to lift his friends into the air with him. And in many people’s opinion, he is the cutest of all of The Chaotix. He can shrink himself in size when he goes to fly and enlarge his size in normal mode – but in all honesty he has the biggest heart of all the Chaotix, and is often found hanging out with Mighty or being the peacekeeper between the argumentative Espio and stubborn Vector. Briefly, he has now returned to his home in Goldenhive Colony and accepted his destiny as Prince of the Bee Realm as well as reconciling with the family he ran away from.

Summary

Every Rogue’s Gallery needs its wild card and Fang fits the bill exceptionally! Not much is known about Fang the Sniper, whom holds the “honor” of being despised by everybody from Sonic and Knuckles to Doctor Eggman! Fang loves one thing, and one thing only; the incredible driving force that we call cash. He is known to double cross anyone at any time, and would stab his own family (assuming he has one) in the back for a profit! Like all the antagonists, he’s got his eye on those shiny stones they call the Chaos Emeralds; but unlike the rest, he’s not after the Emeralds for their awesome power (of which he has no clue), he’s more interesed in the gems’ apprasal value.

Also known as Nack the Weasel, Fang is a freelancing bounty and treasure hunter who will work for whichever side pays him more, but most often he’ll just be working for himself. He knows every trick in the book, and a few that aren’t. Though he may be clever, if there’s anything he isn’t, it’s quick. He gets around using a speedy little airbike called the Marvelous Queen, but he can also leap to lofty heights using his long tail as a spring. He has a spiffy little popgun too!

Summary

The original concept for the ultimate life form was a creature who would open the doors for a better world. That is until Prof. Gerald Robotnik went insane with rage, and created the true ultimate life-form, Codename: Shadow, to bring fear and destruction to the people of Earth.

Finally freed from the military base 50 years later by the one, the only, Dr. Eggman (grandson of Gerald), Shadow wasted no time in carrying out the wishes of his creator, and had all of the Chaos Emeralds brought aboard the Space Colonly ARK to power the Eclipse Cannon, which he promised the mad doctor he could use to take over the world.

One very important ability given to this hedgehog is Chaos Control. By using this method, allowing him to warp time and space and instantly transport from one place to another, is what truely makes him the ultimate lifeform. That is, until he learned that another hedgehog had mastered the trick, and had equaled him in power. With the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds, Shadow becomes Super Shadow. Super Shadow is invincible, and just as strong as Super Sonic.

Though Shadow is a wee bit wound up in himself with being the “ultimate lifeform” and all, he does have and ooey gooey caramel center inside. Shadow has memories of a mysterious girl named “Maria”. The young, crippled girl was one of his only friends aboard the space colony ARK. Before being sent to Earth, he made a promise to her: to make every human on Earth happy. Shadow lived up to this promise by helping to defeat Biolizard (prototype of the ultimate lifeform) aboard the ARK and preventing the space colony from colliding with the Earth by using Chaos Control to transport it back into orbit around the planet. In doing so, Shadow sacrificed his own life, not only to keep his promise, but to truly realize the meaning of his own existance.

Summary

Sneaky and sly, when it comes to top secret spies, Rouge the Bat fits the profile perfectly. She’s hired from the government to investigate strange matters, one of which was the disapearance of the military’s cancelled project: Shadow. She was ordered to find Dr. Eggman, and follow him aboard the Space Colony ARK to investigate what they were up to, and even went as far as to steal 3 Chaos Emeralds from the military’s Federal Reserve Bank, just to keep her cover. Though you could imagine she enjoyed that little endeavour, as Rouge has an obsession with jewels to go on the side of her spying methods. This same obsession lead her to stumble upon the Master Emerald, as well as Knuckles.

Rouge will go to any lengths to track down new and interesting jewels, and has developed what is practically a natural radar to help her track down jewels. She has also learned many techniques to allow her to search for them virtually anywhere, such as digging and scaling walls. Rouge is a true treasure hunter at heart, and perhaps this certain nack will lead her back to a certain echidna she’s keeping her eye on…

Summary

50 years ago, Professor Gerald Robotnik, the grandfather of Dr. Ivo Robotnik (Dr. Eggman), was one of the greatest scientific minds to grace the Earth. He was the world renouned creator of the world’s first space colony, the ARK. It was aboard the ARK where Gerald, along with all his colleges and his granddaughter Maria, performed his research to create “the ultimate life-form”, with the goal to ultimately find a way to benefit mankind. That is, until the Government military, G.U.N., closed down all operations, and had the professor arrested for his “dangerous” experiments and taken to Prison Island.

A short while later, Gerald learned that the ARK had been shut down. Many people were killed aboard the colony, including his granddaughter, Maria. Maria was all Gerald had left, and he now felt he had lost everything. He completely lost his mind, and blamed the mankind he had sought out to protect, for all the misfortunes that had happened to him. He wanted revenge. He knew that he would be executed before he himself could do anything, so, making calculations on his own prison wall, he devised a program for the Eclipse Cannon back on ARK. If the cannon were to be activated at full power, ARK would fall out of orbit, and impact the Earth, wiping out every human on the planet. He was also able to complete the true Shadow, whose escape pod from ARK had landed nearby, and program his mind with ideals of angst and destruction. Before he was killed, Gerald left behind his diary telling that to release Shadow, would be to fill the world with hate and dispair; the same pain that he had to live with. Though Shadow was only a small part of his planned revenge beyond the grave.

Summary

If there is any well known name amongst the locations of Sonic, South Island would most certainly be it. It houses the classic Sonic atmosphere with sparkling waters and checkered hill sides. Though it has never been confirmed whether or not this is Sonic’s true home (though in all honesty, does Sonic really have a “home”?), it is home to an assorment of different little animals including Flicky, Ricky, Pocky, Picky, Cucky, Pecky and Rocky. It is home to probably more zones than any other location, and is also home to the biggest, and probably most over explored zone, the Green Hill Zone.

Perhaps the strangest quirk about South Island is how it is constantly moving from area to area in the ocean, and thus can never appear on any map of the world. It was because of this movement that the mystical Chaos Emeralds drifted endlessly through a torison along this border of time and space. That is until Dr. Eggman discovered their secret, and attempted to obtain them by building his base, the Scrap Brain Zone, in the center of the island.

One last note would be that in Sonic & Tails, it was said that the island required the Chaos Emeralds to support its vitality, otherwise it would sink into the ocean. It’s hard to say whether this is true, but because the Chaos Emeralds have long since been seperated from South Island, it can probably be disregraded.

Summary

Though a small and, for the most part, normal island, Westside Island, also known as the Island of Illusions, holds many secrets. Including the remains of a long lost civilization.

It is said that long ago, these people used the power of 7 magical stones to build a powerful (and clearly Roman-esque) society. But of course, this power followed only in greed, and those stupid people started fighting over control of the stones. Of course, the gods (or what is said to be the gods) weren’t too pleased with this, so they took these stones away from the people, and hid them where they would never be found.

Westside Island is relatively small with about 8 zones, but houses some unique animals (Locky, Wocky, Becky, Tocky, and an unidentified rat) as well as the native animals found on South Island (minus Picky. Man, I miss that little guy…). Westside Island was also the home to everyone’s favorite trademark sidekick, Tails!

Even with all the mystery and adventure still hiding in the island, Sonic and co. have never seemed to have decided to make a trip back there, and sadly, probably never will.

Summary

Angel Island is truely a place of living legend in the Sonic universe. Angel Island, like many magical islands in myth, floats in the sky, as a result of the energy released by the mighty stone known as the Master Emerald. It is said that long ago, Angel Island was once part of a main continent, and inhabited by a powerful race of ancient people who used the Master Emerald to help build their great civilization. But of course, a power such as this is bound to get to get to someone’s head, and it did. A group of elders attempted to steal the “Mighty Stone”‘s energy, but ultimately wound up getting their entire race killed when the stone (or perhaps, something guarding it) exploded.

Then, according to legend, a god of the skies came from the heavens, brought back to life part of this civilization, and placed the Master Emerald, along with the land around it, into the sky, forming what we now know as Angel Island. And by no means was this a small amount of land. With over 12 zones, Angel Island is HUGE. It houses all of the traditional animals (minus Picky), as well as a wide variety of interesting areas to explore, none of which are known better than Knuckles the Echidna, the last known remnant of the ancient race, and self-proclaimed guardian of the island, and the Master Emerald.

Though the Master Emerald keeps the island afloat, it has been forced into the ocean before when it served as the crash site for Eggman’s Death Egg. The Master Emerald also cannot seem to keep the island up when it is in contact with the 7 Chaos Emeralds…

Summary

Long ago, Tikal was the daughter of Pachacamac, chieftan of the Echidna tribe. She, believing strongly in peace and harmony, was very turned off by the tribe’s greed and warful ways. Seeking relinquishment, Tikal felt at peace when at a nearby mysterious temple which held the seven mystical Chaos Emeralds (the servers), and the Master Emerald (the controller). This shrine was also home to the Chao, who lived in peace under the protection of a powerful and trusting force. Tikal had easily made peace with this force, and in return it allowed to play peacefully with the Chao. It was this same barrier that was preventing the Echidna tribe from stealing the seven Emeralds for their own power-hungry purposes.

Tikal did all she could to prevent their full on attack against the shrine, not even the emotion of her cause was enough to sway the decision of her greedy father, who had her, along with many innocent Chao, trampled by his men to clear the seemingly clear path open to harness this emmense power. But then, the shrine’s once peaceful and gentle guarding force, now filled with rage and anger as thick as the atmosphere surrounding it, absorbed the power of the Chaos Emeralds, and slaughtered every last one of the Echidnas. Though she hated them, Tikal, barely able to withstand the horror of this meaningless destruction found only one solution. She used the controlling powers of the Master Emerald to seal the guarding force, Chaos, along with her own soul, within the gem’s confines.

Much time passed, and eventually the Master Emerlad was shattered open by Dr. Eggman, releasing both Tikal and the still vengeful Chaos. Using her ability to show visions of the past, she assisted our heroes in defeating Chaos, and turning him back into the loving, peaceful creature he once was. Afterwards, they both dissapeared. Where? We may never know.

Many people think of Big’s character as simply dumb and lazy. That’s probably the worst way to describe him. Big desires the same thing we all want, to live a care-free life, and does what he can to live it. A life, or course, we could all tell him is impossible to obtain. But nontheless, he tries to avoid the hustle and bustle that comes with an eventful life.

Big perfers to stay out of trouble, and spends most of his time in the Mystic Ruins, fishing and hanging out with his best friend Kaeru-kun (Froggy).

The young girl Maria Robotnik, granddaughter of Gerald Robotnik, was a young, loving girl, crippled by a disease which severly weakened her but still filled with hopes and dreams. That is until GUN killed her along with most of the people aboard the space colony ARK in an attempt to shut down and cover up Gerald’s research.

It is only within Shadow’s own memory that Maria still exists. He has faint memories of her in which she, before being shot, begged Shadow to make a promise to her: make all the people of Earth happy. Despite everything he tries to remain true to that.

Blaze is a Queen from another dimension who protects and controls Sol Emeralds in a role similar to that of Sonic and Knuckles combined. She has the power to control flames with her body, but since she was teased about it when she was younger, she wears a cape to disguise the ability. However, when needed, she will toss the cape in a heartbeat.

Silver Sonic was Dr. Eggman’s first attempt at creating a robot duplicate of Sonic. The only problem is, while Sonic is sleek, fast and light, Silver Sonic is the exact opposite. He’s slow, big and clunky, and relys greatly on razor spikes that stick out when he’s rolled up in a ball (and how).

Silver Sonic was first used to guard the Death Egg from Sonic. It probably goes without saying that he failed miserably. Silver Sonic was then rebuilt in a much more tall and imposing mech, and used to guard the Sky Sanctuary Zone while the Death Egg was being relaunched from Angel Island. He was reactivated AGAIN afterwards to make one final attempt to steal the Master Emerald. And he put up quite a fight to keep it by actually absorbing its power to become Super Silver Sonic. But it just wasn’t enough to defeat Knuckles, and the remains of Silver Sonic went down with the Sky Sanctuary Zone.

Appearantly, Silver Sonic was rebuilt again, and was placed within an energy tube in the Final Egg. Unless you count the exploit in Sonic Pocket Adventure, that’s probably where he is to stay…

Prince Elias’ background comes from the far-off Floating Island. Way back before Robotnik’s coup, Queen Alicia and a toddler boy named Elias were carted off to a safe haven on the Floating Island. However, en route, they were attacked and King Acorn feared his wife and son dead. What was not known was that the convoy ships DID make it, but most of the crew died, barring Queen Alicia who fell into a near 10 year coma, Prince Elias, who remained unscathed, and one of the colonels under Geoffry St. John’s late father. Discovered by the Guardians of the Floating Island during that time, they took in the Prince and raised him. While the Colonel stayed at the Royal Compound on the Floating Island, where the prince went to live at the age of 10. The Brotherhood made sure to keep the Queen in stasis until she could someday be revived. Prince Elias thought his father died in the Robotnik takeover, King Acorn thought his son died in the Great War, and Sally – who was a child at the time – knew where neither of them were.

Ten years later, King Acorn found word that that the Queen may still be alive and after sending The Secret Service to the Floating Isle, they came upon not only The Brotherhood Of Guardians but Prince Elias and the comatose Queen Acorn as well. The Prince returned and was given the throne. However, he rejected this and ran away to start a family. During the kingdon’s recent troubles, and with his father comatose, Elias has reconsidered and become the current King.

Amy is the bubbliest member of the Freedom Fighters, and she has a huge crsuh on Sonic. Amy Rose’s origins lie in the country of Mercia, a province of the Acorn Kingdom across the sea. There she lived for a while with her cousin, Rob O’ The Hedge, leader of the Mercian branch of Freedom Fighters. When Robotnik took over, he put the Robian General D’Coolette in charge of Mercia. As things went from bad to worse, Rob sent Amy away to live in Knothole where she would hopefully be much safer.

Since then, Amy adapted to life and came to fall head over heels for the local hero, Sonic. She assumed the position of his #1 fan and is ALWAYS on his heels! She has kept her distance out of respect for Sally, but with the current situation of the Sonic/Sally relationship, anythign’s possible.

Amy has proven her worth in battle several times and is now officially a full time member of the Freedom Fighters. She has become quite a powerful ally with her Piko-Piko hammer and Tarot card abilities.

Everyone else on the team certainly represents something. So what does Rotor represent? Not only is he the brains of the group, but he’s the glue that holds them together as well! A walrus inventor with high technical skills, Rotor is the only member of the Freedom Fighters who can fight Robotnik’s technology WITH technology. Not being much of a socialite, like Sonic, Rotor keeps to what he knows: building anything he wants and fixing anything he can. Though he can program them, the one thing he can’t fix are computers – they tend to backfire grossly on him most of the time. Because he is a fast-learner, he continuously takes things apart to learn how to put it back together. Sonic thinks of him as slow as a lava flow, but underwater — zoom– like a torpedo! As a valued member of the Freedom Fighters, Rotor has exceptional skills in mechanics and electronics. He has a very fast mind and can fix complex mechanical problems with ease. Having grown up next door to Sonic, the both of them being best friends, they escaped together to the palace when Robotnik took over – unfortunately, he was also separated from his parents as well. His mom escaped with his little brother (a baby at the time) to the arctic. Rotor’s father and older brother (who he hasn’t seen since), was captured and supposedly roboticized. Rotor misses his family a lot, but since his mother, Skeeter, and the Walrus herd are now free from control by Robotnik, he is happy.

Summary

Duly lived in a dragon colony until it was invaded by Robotnik. Many of the colony was roboticized, including Dulcy’s mother, Sabina. Dulcy and some other dragons, led by the elder Glint, escaped underground to the lost dragon city of Vesuvio, where they were forbidden to go to the surface world. Dulcy disobeyed this and joined the Knothole Freedom Fighters. When Glint discovered this, he stripped her of her flame breath and banished her from Vesuvio. Dulcy became a full-time freeodm fighter after this, but she missed her home.

She is very sweet, and has a child-like personality. Always eager to help, she often flies the Freedom Fighters all around Mobius whenever they need her and she was an integral part of clearing Sonic’s name when he was accused of murdering the Princess Sally. Dulcy is capable of terrific speeds when flying by snapping her tail in back of her, in a move known as “cracking the whip”. She also has the ability to discern truth from lies, along with multiple other abilities.

Recently, longing to see her people and to get her flame back, she returned to Vesuvio to ask for a pardon. However, she was folowed by roboticized dragons who then terrorized Vesuvio. Becuase Dulcy helped repel the mecha-dragons, she was allowed her flame powers back and she became the ambassador of Vesuvio to the surface world.

Summary

A near sentient thinking, talking handheld computer Nicole is possibly the most special Freedom Fighter on the whole team. Why? She’s from the future. She is a gift to the present Princess Sally from Queen Sally in the future! It is that that in the decisive battle with Doctor Robotnik, Nicole will be destroyed. Nicole was in fact created by the future version of Rotor years after those events happened. Commanded by King Sonic and Queen Sally, Nicole was sent into the past as a gift to help the Princess. But Nicole is more than a computer she is also a valued friend to all the Freedom Fighters as she is always there for Sally to talk to personally and has even saved Sonic from the grips of death and permanent roboticisation. Always full of info she is also a bit of a jokester as she occasionally likes to give Sonic a jolt of electricity when he uses her. As Sally put it “She is a gift to myself, from myself…A friend when I needed one the most” and without her they may never be able to see the day when Robotnik will be defeated or to fully appreciate Julayla’s last words upon her death – “To thine own self be true”.

Summary

Dr. Quack is the royal physician and one of the best medical experts in Knothole. When King Max was turning into crystal, he devised a Dream Watcher that allowed Sonic to enter King Max’ mind to stop King Max from turning into crystal any further. However, that device gave off energy that allowed Dr. Robotnik to find Knothole and, with his wife & kids captured, Dr. Quack became Dr. Robotnik’s pawn during Dr. Robotnik’s ultimate scheme. However, he was forgiven for his role due to the circumstances and has continued to be the main person the Freedom Fighters turn to whenever someone needs medical attention.

Summary

It only takes one glance to guess who this mechanical behemoth is in homage to. Using what seems to be the same technology as Metal Sonic, Metal Knuckles can mimic virtually every ability Knuckles can put out, only better. He’s stronger, faster and tougher than the original, and once he gets going there’s no stopping him.

As effective a machine as Metal Knuckles appears to be, he has only appeared during the World Grand Prix in Sonic R.

Summary

King Acorn has led a life of tough decisions and harsh realities. It began around the Great War when he thought he lost his wife after an Overlander attack on the kingdom. After that came the Great Robotnik coup that would change his life forever as he ended up being banished to The Zone Of Silence for 10 years by Warlord Julian A.K.A. Doctor Ivo Robotnik. While there he also met with Ixis Naugus, the former royal wizard (now completely mad) and creator of the zone Acorn had to spend his next ten years in! The effects of The Zone Of Silence are known to drive those in it to madness and the only way King Acorn could survive was by pledging fealty – and his kingdom – to Naugus with little or no hope of stopping Robotnik or ever escaping.

Over time the king lost total memory, and when Sonic and Sally came to rescue him they had no idea of what thier effects could cause. Prolonged exposure to the Zone Of Silence also brought along rapid crystallization to the body – Full crystallization meant instant death. Sonic, Sally, and Rotor managed to stop the process in time but for quite a while the king lay in a coma until Sonic probed his mind courtesy of Doctor Quack’s Dream Watcher. The king was fully uncrystallized thanks to the help of the magical Crown and Sword Of Acorns.

The King’s health has always been an issue: first his crystallization, then his paralysis from the waist down, and more recently he fell into a coma after being poisoned by Anti-Antoine. The current King is Max’s son, Elias.

In a place where Overlanders are at times hated and feared, Nate is the brightest exception. A small black male with a large glowing heart – Nate is the first person to have set the world of Mobius on its collective ear; him being one of the first people to learn how to master the art of Ring Forging…It all started back in Megapolis, home of the Overlanders. After creating the Ring forge,his assistant Julian Kintobor – better known later as Doctor Ivo Robotnik – sabotaged the Forge resulting in a massive explosion that destroyed a part of the city. No lives were lost, but Nate – being the head of the Geo-Physicians department of the Overlanders was brought in for trial and subsequently sentenced to banishment from the city. Possibly knowing of Kintobor’s treachery – Nate took the Ring Forge and began his lifelong banishment. After crossing the Mobian Badlands tired, without food, and nearing death he had finally managed to reach the Great forest where he passed out after encountering a troop by King Frederic – Sally’s grandfather. Barring complaints from those such as Ixis Naugus and Warlord Kodos about having an overlander in their midst, Frederic commanded that Nate be nursed back to health and in return for thier services, Nate asked to use his Ring forge technology and one of the King’s Chaos Emeralds to help the medieval society of Mobotropolis. The outcome of this partnership? The birth of the city of New Mobotroplis, the declaration of the Power Ring as the 5th element of Mobius due to its innate properties, the ushering in of the Mobian golden Age – and a new life for Nate. From there Nate became official advisor to the king and an “uncle” to King Max as he first ascended the throne, and a teacher to the kingdom – even teaching Sonic’s father and his greatest student: Sonic’s Uncle Chuck, the art of forging Power Rings that he had held a secret for so long. But his happiness was not to last. Technology was replacing the ways of magic and sorcery – and this meant that Ixis Naugus – the royal wizard was now losing his edge on the Kingdom…Enlisting the aid of Warlord Kodos, already consumed with hate for the overlander, they set about a plan to frame Nate. While Nate and a group of students were out and escorted by Kodos and his troops, Naugus went about manipilating a troop of Overlanders in the Great Forest. And when both sides met, Naugus had used his magics to make the both sides turn it into a mini battle. Many of either side were either killed or hurt and when Kodos awoke in the hospital – both he and Naugus went on and on about how none of this would have happened had the king not entrusted the help of an overlander. It soon led to another trial in which Nate was acquitted, but Naugus had succeeded in his plan and the seeds of Anti-Overlander sentiment had already begun to grow. Not wanting a repeat of what had happened in Megapolis – Nate left Mobotropolis again to continue elsewhere. Dropping his Ring Forge in the then undiscovered Knothole Village “Lake Of Rings,” Nate migrated to the southern tundra where he befriended a yeti that was almost dying. Healing the hurt beast and naming him “Eddy,” they lived out thier days in exile in a castle atop a cliff. It wasn’t until YEARS LATER that Sonic and Tails discovered them. On the trail of Ixis Naugus, now a fugitive to the kingdom, they learned his story and asked him to return with them to help make a difference in a city that was still dealing with the pain of Robotnik’s takeover. With Nate’s help and his HUGE Power ring cache, Ultra Sonic and Hyper Tails managed to seal Ixis Naugus – also enhanced by the rings back into the prisonlike Zone Of Silence. But it was at the consequence of one life – Nate’s lifelong friend Eddy died in the battle. Sonic, Nate, and Tails returned to the kingdom and Nate – who came face to face with King Acorn after all those years, learned just what happened to his old assistant: Julian Kintobor, now Ivo Robotnik who had come along from his own banishment just as Nate had left the kingdom. Nate vowed to resume his post as advisor to the King and vowed to help him and the FF’s in their times of need. And even though there are still those that show racist Anti-Overlander actions in the city: due to Robotnik’s actions, Nate proves that not all overlanders are bad. Realizing the danger the newly returned overlanders were in, Nate went to Robotropolis to try to save them, but Robotnik decided to use Nate as bait to trap Sonic in the city so that eventually he could roboticize Sonic. However, just as Robotnik thought he had Sonic and the Freedom Fighters trapped, the shield-dome failed. When Robotnik went to check out what happened, he saw Nate and knew what Nate had done and then roboticized Nate, who was turned into a statue. It is assumed that Nate (still in statue form) perished when Robotropolis was nuked.

Mighty lived a regular life on the Floating Island as he grew up. He and Sonic are close friends as they met several years ago in an unknown base run by Robotnik that they shut down with the help of a squirrel named Ray. However, Ray went missing during that incident and it was only recently that Ray was rescued from the limbo he’d been in for years. Mighty joined up with the Chaotix when Robotnik threatened the Happyland Amusement Park. Since then Mighty has helped Knuckles much in his task of guarding the Floating Island and is loyal to Knuckles’ cause as one of the founding members of “The Chaotix.” Mighty also had his hand in being the first to meet Charmy Bee upon his venture to the Floating Island and introducing the bee to all his friends there. He can jump up the steepest of walls with ease, and when he kicks-off, he can take even the most wary of Badniks by surprise. Mighty likes to lift weights and brag a heck of a lot about his strength, but the dude really is humble, even if it doesn’t show at times. He’s very good friends with everybody and helps them whenever they need it.

Summary

Chuck has had a hard life. He and his brother Jules were once two of the greatest heroes to the kingdom. Jules being the brawn, and Charles being the brains they were practically unstoppable! Charles was the Royal Engineer for the King and was given his title when he created the Roboticizer, a machine built to roboticize people’s limbs lost in wars, accidents, and other tragedies. However, Warlord Julian (Later known as Robotnik) sabotaged the machine and made it so that it completely took away a person’s will and roboticized them from head to toe. Charles didn’t know of this deception, and when Jules was badly injured in the reat War, Chuck roboticised him, and Jules became a robotic vegetable, the first in Robotnik’s army that would come along later.

Chuck blamed himself heavily and quit his job, opened up a chili dog chain raising his orphaned nephew Sonic (Jules’ son) until Robotnik fully took over. Charles was later captured and roboticized in the Robotnik coup, and turned into a robot devoid of control just like Jules. However, thanks to Sonic, a power ring, and Charles own determimation, he broke control of his body away from Robotnik and served a spy for the Freedom Fighters. In the defeat of Robotnik, Charles finally felt at peace with himself after helping clear Sonic’s name of murder in the supposed death of Princess Sally. He still blames himself for the roboticiser but he’s not as harsh as he used to be.

Since being derobotized by Ceneca-9009, Sir Charles has become a senior member of the “Brain Trust” subdivision of the Freedom Fighters.

Summary

He is extremely loyal to the kingdom. He likes Sally, though he hasn’t done anything blatant (only little subtle things) to get Sally to like him back ever since Sally told him that Sonic is the only one she truly loves. Always refered the Freedom Fighters as “Sally’s Trainees” or “Rank Amateurs,” he used to “tag along” on trips occasionally just in case the FF’s need his “expertise”. Geoffrey is actually good at what he does – now currently head of King Acorn’s Secret Service. He’s managed to tick off every FF from Sonic by accusing him of murder, to Antoine by accusing his father of being a traitor to the kingdom, and even to Knuckles by giving orders on his island! But the one person he shares a personal loathing for is Sonic the Hedgehog as neither of them can be around each other for less than 2 seconds without fighting like mad weasels! He resents this to all end and wishes one day he could have him out of his hair permanently to get what he wants – Sally Acorn – but due to the fact that he IS a good guy: which is doubtful – He’d never resort to those measures. Geoff also has a deep resentment for overlanders – it was overlanders who killed his father. So naturally he has VERY low thoughts of Nate Morgan – the latest overlander on the block…

Espio The Chameleon is often quite reserved and his past is a mystery to all except maybe Knuckles….Espio the Chameleon is quick and strong, and has an intense drive in everything he does. Nothing is known of Espio’s past by anyone, but it seems that he lived a normal chameleon’s life, until he met Knuckles. Then his world was flung upside-down with all the things he had to help his newfound friend with. But Espio has stayed a loyal friend to Knux and the other Chaotix. Espio’s lashing Tongue Attack can whip the hardest of Badniks into shape, and his whirling attack can leave any opponents spinning their heads! His unique ability to run along walls and ceilings can get him out of any tight spots, and he can also change his color at will to blend into the scenery. Espio is very secretive in nature and kind of short-tempered just like Knux. He’s serious a lot, but is willing to be friendly when he has too. Espio is a vital member to the Chaotix. He can often be found with the rest of the team in their adventures on the Floating Island but when he’s alone, he likes to hang out in his invisible treehouse home in The Rainbow Valley.

Summary

Several years ago, Fiona was among many other Mobian prisoners at an unknown base controlled by Robotnik. She met Mighty and Ray (who were also prisoners) who attempted to help her when a robot guard said that “other plans” were in store for her. Eventually the guards put down their rebellion and while Mighty and Ray were put in separate cages, she was taken to Robotnik himself. Sonic, who was infiltrating the base at the time, freed Mighty and Ray and the three tried to rescue her. However, when things didn’t go according to plan and Ray mysteriously disappeared, Mighty started destroying the place by lifting machines like they were sheets of paper. Robotnik abandoned the base during the confusion and took Fiona with him.

Robotnik made a robot duplicate of Fiona and then left her in a cell to rot. She managed to dig her way out after awhile and she met Nic the Weasel. The two became friends and stuck together until a recent run-in with Mighty. Fiona is currently residing in Knothole City and has joined the Freedom Fighters as a member of both the “Brain Trust” subdivision and the regular combat team.

Fiona’s grudge against Sonic eventually turned to respect, admiration, and eventually romantic feelings for him. Only after Fiona and Sonic began dating did Fiona learn that Tails had a crush on her. Despite the fact that this has strained the relationship between Sonic and Tails, Fiona does not seem to care about Tails’ feelings at all. Fiona and Sonic continue to date and are often seen together.

It was after the first meeting with the Chaotix that Knuckles that met Archimedes. In a “test” of sorts, Archy “kidnapped” the Chaotix and held them “prisoner” in The lost Grand Conservatory where he awaited Knuckles to find him via various clues scattered across The Floating Island. It took Knuckles awhile but when he found him and the Chaotix they all had no idea of what was to happen next.

After the first defeat of Enerjak, Archy has been like a mentor to Knuckles, but he has kept several secrets. Fire ants live to VERY ripe old ages and Archy is no exception. He trained several previous guardians including Knuckles’s own father, Locke. Archimedes knew of Locke as well as the Guardian homebaseat Haven, even though Knux thought them all to be dead. Archy is also a valued member of The Council Of Ants. The Council – which resides in the Lava Reef Zone serve as advisors to the echidna guardians in their time of need.

After Robotnik took over Angel Island, Archimedes was charged by Locke with doing all he could to protect the Master Emerald. This he did. Also, Archimedes hypothesised correctly that Knuckles would regain his chas powers if exposed to the Master Emerald.

After Robotnik “died” in the Princess Sally ordeal – many of the smaller villians came out of hiding to effectively test thier mettle. Ixis Naugus however – is NOT a small time villian…Whereas Robotnik is the master of technology, Ixis Naugus is the master of sorcery….Ixis Naugus is a sorceror extraordinare. In the time of the Great War, before the coming of Robotnik, he was the royal wizard in Mobotropolis during King Acorn’s rule. But before Robotnik came along – another overlander had graced Mobotropolis and his name was Nate Morgan. Nate had used his science to in effect create Power Rings – a new clean source that worked off the powers of the Chaos Emerald. Using this new technology, King Acorn and Nate Morgan ushered the Kingdom Of Acorn from a medieval state and into a technological golden age! Nate was declared a hero, Mobotropolis was rebuilt and rechristened “New Mobotropolis”, The Power Ring was declared the official “Fifth Element” of Mobius, and Naugus became horrifically jealous…With technology replacing magic in the Kingdom Of Acorn, Naugus was no longer needed and felt quite threatened. Using the already high “Anti-Overlander” sentiment growing in Mobotropolis and his ability to manipulate the minds of other people due to Black Magic, Naugus formed a pact with Warlord Kodos – Robotnik’s predecessor and framed Nate for the murder of various animals that were assaulted by a troop of Overlanders. Nate was acquitted, but banished himself from the kingdom, and Naugus was safe. Then came Robotnik….Naugus created a new and strange dimension called the “Zone of Silence”. With war raging, Naugus decided to explore and become master of the “Zone of Silence.” Eventually Kodos, Uma Arachnis, Feist, and even King Acorn pledged allegiance to him as Naugus reigned supreme. While, King Acorn was rescued from the zone by Sonic, Sally, and Geoffrey, Naugus continued his reign. The everything changed when Naugus, Kodos, and Arachnis escaped via one of Rotor’s probes almost 11 years later after Naugus entered the zone. It was then that Naugus met Sonic and announced his plans to annihilate the Acorn Kingdom, destroy his objective – Nate Morgan, and absorb the raw energies of the Power Rings so that he can control ALL 5 of mobius’ natural elements and take his place as ruler of Mobius! After a bit of globe-trotting, Naugus has finally been returned to the Zone of Silence, but no one knows if and when he’ll be back.

Summary

A large muscular lion with an attitude for everything and a spiteful hatred of overlanders, Warlord Kodos carries his Battle Axe wherever he goes and is NEVER afraid to use it…Originally the Minister Of War in the Kingdom Of Acorn, Kodos served during the time that Ixis Naugus was the Royal Wizard. Aiding Naugus in his his quest to frame Nate Morgan, Kodos’ hatred of overlanders led to an attack of Overlander troops, which resulted in the deaths of part of his own ground troops, and Nate’s eventual exile from the kingdom. Satisfied that he had no more overlanders to bother him, Kodos set about to continue his job. It wasn’t until later that a young overlander named Julian Kintobor – later to become Doctor Robotnik – came upon the scene. When Kodos “disappeared,” King Acorn gave Kodos’ duties in the Great War to Kintobor – who was willing to shed his knowledge of the Overlanders and defeat their troops once and for all. Kodos had sensed that Julian might want to take over the Kingdom and was planning on recruiting Julian and showed Julian the entrance to the Zone Of Silence. Kintobor soon went to banishing his first obstacle, Kodos, in his agenda to fully take over the Kingdom ! Kodos survived his imprisonment in the zone until Ixis Naugus came along – and it was there that Kodos pledged fealty to Naugus, becoming his “hired muscle” of sorts, along side his second companion the female warrior Arachnis. Kodos holds a spiteful grudge against Robotnik, and an even larger grudge against Sonic and Sally – who are allies of the Kingdom of Acorn, and when it comes to death Kodos is QUITE WILLING to pass it out in doses – making him a deadly foe. Currently though it could be possible his death is upon us after falling within a ravine in the Great Forest. It’s unknown for now if he’s alive or not.

Summary

Uma Arachnis is “the mystery villain”, extremely quiet and observant – All that is known of her is the fact that she somehow has ties to Ixis Naugus, whom she met in the Zone Of Silence. Being a spider, she can cling to walls, shoot webbing, and can move around like lighning in situations – making her a quick and agile oponnent. She rarely speaks unless it is necessary, and the other villians often find her bewildering. Her true motives are known only to herself, and not even Sonic or Sally know or have any recollection of who she is or what she wants. For now she still remains as the second wild card, and until Ixis Naugus or herself reveal her intentions, she used to slink back into the shadows behind Warlord Kodos and follow through her intentions – whatever they may be. Recently she laid her eggs in the Great Forest, just before dying from the effects of prolonged exposure to the toxins in Robotropolis.

“Through time and space and alternate dimension, properties exist beyond comprehension. Artifacts of ancient and unfathomable power exist to aid and make men cower. Cognizant by beings of science and mystical shaman, a soverign royal and an emerald have nothing in common.”

The Ancient Walkers were three mystical deities that watched over Mobius and protected it. Although they often appeared together in the form of disembodied tiki heads, they have been seen in the form of dinosaur-like bodies. The Ancient Walkers had a penchant for speaking in riddles and tongues, never revealing their secrets and always a mystery. The only beings known to communicate with them directly on a regular basis were the echidnas Athair and Aurora, as well as the wizard Merlin Prower.

However, Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails have had some limited contact with the Ancient Walkers, at various points in their adventures. It was due to the Ancient Walkers’ intervention that Mammoth Mogul has been defeated multiple times, but Mogul eventually took revenge and disrupted the Chaos Force so greatly that the Ancient Walkers were destroyed. Before their death, however, they appointed Merlin, Aurora, and Athair as their successors.

Knuckles cannot be everywhere at once – especially since Echidnaopolis rematerialized on the Island. Guardians guard the island but underneath them are the Constables that leads the Echidna Security Team in Echidnaopolis – The current one being the lop haired Remington. Contemplative and easy to get along with, Remington gets his orders i.e Knuckles and also has a secret connection to enigmatic Brotherhood. Remington, who was trained by the previous Constable Holmes, acts as a police chief to Echidnaopolis – oftentimes recruiting The Chaotix to handle some jobs in town. Though he is by no means a true member of The Chaotix team he will help and often gives the orders in Knuckles’ absence to them. A well known villain of Remington and the Chaotix are none other than the Drug Dealer and Mob Boss – Downtown Ebony Hare, whose LSD food poisoning case resulted in the death of Mello, the near death of Charmy, and put the entire Chaotix into the hospital. Remington seeks to make sure people like Ebony are never let loose into the streets again – and though he can be condescing at times, he keeps his place with Knuckles and does realize that IN THE LONG RUN – it is Knuckles that gives the rules. Since Robotnik took control of Angel Island, however, Remington has become a lowly peasant like the rest of the echidnas. He was apparently killed, but is being stored by Robotnik for uncertain purposes.

Summary

Lurking in the shadowy technological confines of Haven, The Brotherhood monitor the status of the current guardian of Angel Island and intervene discreetly when necessary. To train a guardian, who will one day become a member of the brotherhood, it is up to the parents to give them the basics for a certain amount of years, and then allow the Guardian to fend for himself/herself – such was the case with Knuckles until circumstances allowed him to come into contact with the brotherhood a bit earlier than normal.

When a guardian becomes part of the Brotherhood, he or she graduates from the responsibility of monitoring and protecting Angel Island to responsibility for an entire section of Mobius. Usually, however, they do not intervene in the affairs of other species unless they directly affect Echidna well-being.

Since Robotnik took over Angel island, the brotherhood have been missing except for Locke, who is determined to find out what happened to them.

Spectre – The son of Tobor, Spectre is the wild card of the Brotherhood. Dark and ruthless, he is always trailed by a cloud of smoke, his fur is jet black and his eyes are blood red and his head is covered with a robotic visor…
Thunderhawk – Monitor of the country of Downunda, this purple echidna is the loudmouth complainer of the group. Always ready to put his opinion in when nobody wants it, he’s always either getting into an argument with Locke or Spectre.
Sojourner – Thunderhawk is the complainer, Sojourner is the whiner. The father of Janelle-Li, Sojourner doesn’t have much going for him and seems to be the guy that would always prefer “the easy way out” rather than all the other hoopla the rest of the Brotherhood goes through.
Sabre – The son of the mystic Athair, Sabre often takes the role of “leader” though he is not. Sabre is the brains of the group and often the peacemaker as well. He is also usually the best in problem solving as well.
Locke – The son of the Sabre and the youngest of The Brotherhood, Locke is the “mistake” guy. Quiet, observant, and always behind a computer screen to monitor his son Knuckles, Locke is not only the mechanics whiz, but he is also the first to defend Knuckles NO MATTER WHAT the situation.

Summary

The Chaos Emeralds are a limitless source of a mysterious energy known as Chaos Energy. This energy can be used in many ways, from giving special powers to certain individuals to powering technological devices. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Mammoth Mogul, Enerjak and others have used this energy to transform themselves into beings of great power. According to the Isaac the Robot, the original Mobian Chaos Emeralds were formed when the radiation from the Xorda’s Gene-Bomb reacted with deposits of the mineral beryl below the surface of Mobius. Because Isaac’s data was later discovered to be corrupt, the accuracy of this information has been called into question.

For a long time, the only Chaos Emeralds known to Mobians were the hundreds (perhaps thousands) of Green Chaos Emeralds which existed on Mobius. However, Sonic later encountered Red Chaos Emeralds while he was in space. These had different properties from the Emeralds with which he as familiar. When A.D.A.M. wished to harness all the Chaos Energy in the universe, he summoned all of the emeralds to himself. In addition to the Green and Red Chaos Emeralds, there were five other colors, Blue, Yellow, Gray, Cyan, and Purple Chaos Emeralds. When A.D.A.M. was defeated, these were sealed into the Zone of Silence where their form was changed.

In their new form, there are seven Chaos Emeralds, each in one of the colors of the seven original types. These Emeralds are apparently identical to one another in properties, and are probably slightly different from the original Mobian Chaos Emeralds. The only Chaos Emerald which escaped this reformation was the Master Emerald. The Gray Chaos Emerald is currently in the possession of the Kingdom of Knothole. The other six Chaos Emeralds reside in the Zone of Silence, which has newly been renamed the Special Zone.

Summary

A former member of the Chaotix – Heavy was created by Dr. Robotnik from special gems known as “The Power Gems”. Designed to search and repair systems that had been damaged, he is an exceptionally versatile robot – However, Robotnik built him too well. The gems he used to give Heavy (as well as his partner, Bomb) conciousness, also gave them conciences and free will. Discovering that they were actually tools for the mad doctor, they wanted no part of it and together they escaped from Robotropolis with the gems in tow and went to the Floating Island where they came upon the Chaotix and the imprisoned Freedom Fighters! Little did they know that another creation – the Metal Sonic, had followed them also – and NOW HE TOO was poweredby the gems!

When used, the Power Gems can accelerate metabolism so much that it can tun anything into a giant when used properly. So when Metal Sonic went on a rampage at Carnival Island – It was there that he turned into Super Metal Sonic, his gigantic large red form and threatened to stomp the Chaotix out of existance! Giving Knux a Power Gem, Heavy, Bomb, and The Chaotix watched as Knux gave the fatal blow that finally destroyed the Metal Sonic once and for all! Since then, they had tried to live a life of peace on the Floating Island but at the same time, wished to give back to the community that had accepted them so, which is why Heavy and Bomb relocated to Knothole and were members of King Acorn’s Secret Service.

Unfortunately, during a recentreconaissance mission to Robotropolis, Robotnik realigned Heavy and Bomb’s prgramming to his side, and they were assigned to sabotage Knothole and assassinate the royal family. They were stopped only at the last minute, and Heavy was sawed through by Sonic. Later, both of them were upgraded by Robotnik for an assassination attempt on Mina Mongoose, but this attempt failed and Heavy was defeated by Sonic.

Summary

Bomb is a robot who, like Heavy, had a free mind and joined the fight against Robotnik. after their acceptance as heroes, they joined King Acorn’s secret service under the command of Geoffrey St. John. Bomb was a usefull ally because he could regenerate himself many times, meaning a single explosion would not harm him.

Unfortunately for the Kingdom, during a reconaissance mission to Robotropolis, Robotnik realigned Heavy and Bomb’s programming to his side, and they were assigned to sabotage Knothole and assassinate the royal family. They were stopped only at the last minute, and Bomb’s circutry was electromagnetically deactivated.

More recently, Heavy and Bomb were upgraded by Robotnik in order to assassinate Mina Mongoose. Her security team, consisting of several Freedom Fighters, took out all of the numerous Bombs. Because of his regenerative abilities, it is doubtful whether BOmb is truly gone for good.

Lara-Le is Knux’s mother. But she wishes she could have been more of a mother to him…You see a mother has almost no role in the upbringing of a guardian as all she did was basically give birth – and that it. This often led to many conflicts between her and Locke and overall their ultimate divorce. With the city of Echidnaopolis having vanished completely from the face of The Floating Island and trapped in it’s own pocket zone due to a nuclear holocaust and The Hyper Zone Projector made by Hawking, the only traces of civilization were the “Marble Garden Zone” ruins left in its wake. Lara, as well as the city’s inhabitants, had no way to escape the zone and thus so Knuckles went most of his life thinking that she was possibly dead. In truth – Guardians did have a way to exit back and forth between the Echidnaopolis Zone and the Floating Isle, and Locke often used this to his advantage. This meant that while Locke told Knuckles his mother was “gone,” Lara could do nothing but sit trapped in Echidnaopolis without hope of ever seeing her son. It sounds cruel – but it certainly wasn’t intentional…henceforth years later – due to The “Endgame” saga when Robotnik’s Ultimate Annihilator exploded, it sent an omega wave of massive proportions all over Mobius, creating new zones, destroying some old ones, and breaking down the buffers protecting hidden ones. And one of those hidden zones now opened was none other than the lost city of Echidnaopolis! As Knuckles investigated, he came to face to face with his long lost mother. Currently they have established a relationship. Lara originally couldn’t tell Knuckles the truth about Locke and how he was still alive and it broke her heart to do so. But that still doesn’t keep her from trying to be an active figure in his life. Whether its talking to Julie-Su, or just dishing motherly advice, Lara cares the world for her son and is always ready to lend a shoulder whenever need. Currently she is on her honeymoon with her new husband, Wynmacher. While Knuckles still has problems dealing with the fact of a new stepfather, he also respects Wyn as well.

Summary

Meet the last of our mystery men – Merlin Prower, a sorcerer and charlatan, Merlin was once under the reign of King Acorn as Royal Wizard – possibly after Ixis Naugus was banished by Robotnik. Those that DO know of his existance DONT even know of the person that they were actually meeting. Sonic met him only once as a child, trading a bag of “shiny stones” for Tails’ sneakers, and as Sonic sped off – Merlin vanished in a puff of smoke. When Knuckles met him, he was on his quest for the Sword Of Acorns – and since he didn’t know anything of Tails’ real name – Miles Prower – Knux never made the connection to Merlin Prower. Tails knows possibly NOTHING of him, and neither does anyone else. However – it has been hinted at in spoilers that Merlin may posibly know of tails’ role as The Chosen One. What he knows and when he wil take action is yet to be seen. But for right now – we, and Tails, will just have to wait….

Summary

A “Native American-like” tribe of wolves, the Wolves were once a proud race, honored in thier heritage and living only off of what nature provided for them The lived in an uncharted area called “The Great Unknown” which lay just beyond the Great Canyon. However – shortly after Robotnik’s coup of Mobotropolis, their lives were thrust into turmoil as Robotnik ran them off of thier native lands, and roboticised thier people. Only a handfull are left unrobotisiced, while the rest fight valiantly to free thier lands. Princess Sally, Sonic, and Antione stumbled upon them after recieving a Freedom Fighter list via King Acorn (Game Guy – Sonic SatAM) and sought to unite other Freedom Fighters for thier cause. After some rather hilarious moments with Antione’s “curse” and defeating a Waste Pod, the Wolf Pack Freedom Fighters became valuable allies ever since.

Lupe – The leader of the Wolf Pack (currently roboticized and not with the pack), Lupe is the oldest of everyone, somewhere along the lines of 30 years old. Already married and with children, Marcos & Maria, Lupe left her home to protect the freedom of their people while her husband Lobo stayed home to watch the children. That alone shows you how strong of a woman she is.
Canus – The second member of the group, Canus is the gentle giant. Large and burly, yet kind and well meaning, Canus serves as the strength of the group as well as its cook. He’s mostly quiet and is the only member who can usually keep Reynard and Diablo from biting each others heads off.
Leeta And Lyco – The third and fourth members – these pink wolves are the “identical twins” of the group. Both extremely acrobatic and wiry they work best as a team ALWAYS and are especially willing to help whenever needed.
Reynard – Never one to spitefully lash out but ALWAYS one to question everything, reyanard was the person that first discovered Sonic, Sally, and Antione trespassing in the Wolf Caves. He’s usually very inquisitive much to Diablo’s nerves and this usually results in a tizzy between the two.
Diablo – If ever there was a grump, Diablo is IT. Anyone remember Grouchy Smurf – give him fur and make him look like an animal and you have Diablo Wolf. This dark furred vulpine is the most stubborn and usually ends up getting into it with Reynard
Aerial and Athena – The final members of the group came MUCH LATER and caused quite an uproar aong the Wolf Pack when they came along. You see, Aerial and her sister Athena are two overlander girls. Athena being deaf, and Aerial being fully talkative, both are the lone survivors of a forgotten Overlander City…
Drago – (No longer a freedom fighter) Needless to say, Drago WAS the traitor (suspected by Lupe) in the “Death Of Princess Sally” and has become a shame to the Wolf Pack

If you thought the Kingdom of Acorn had its share of troubles, just wait till you see Downunda! Downunda is ruled by Robotnik’s sub boss Crocbot. Tails discovered the Downunda Freedom Fighters after going head to head with Crocbot’s Wing Dingo squadron. Taking him to Athair to be nursed back to health, the Downunda FF’s show that they are just as caring as they are together as a team. So far, after Crocbot’s final attempt at revenge by taking over the entire Platypus tribe only to end up disconnected, the DFF and their country are currently free. But they still seek to rebuild so much of that which they have lost and often lend a hand to anyone whenever it is needed.

Walt Wallabee – The leader of the group, Walt is one of the few male kangaroos with pouches. In it he stores his biggest weapon: The Bomberang! Walt has his eyes set on Barby Koala but has most likely never told her yet
Barby Koala – The second member of the group, Tails already has a HUGE crush on her. Though Barby is MUCH older by standards, she thinks Tails is kinda cute too. Barby comes equipped with SHARP koala claws that can darn near hack through the sturdiest of items. She’s almost more take charge than Walt at times but is apt to do whatever is needed of her.
Wombat Stu – The youngest member of the group, Stu is blessed with super hearing and is also quick and agile due to his small size
Guru Emu – The weirdo and “group hippie”, Guru Emu is as relaxed as about anything can be. Though he can’t fly he can dispense wisdom and thought in a heartbeat.
Duck “Bill” Platypus – The fighter and feistiest one of the group, Duck Bill will gladly give ANYTHING a right hook if it moves. The little “Pocket Popeye” comes from a tribe of other Platypus’ that were part of a Crocbot mass hypnosis scheme that captured Emu and Wombat Stu. So far Bill has shaken off its effects and serves heartedly.

Summary

Believe it or not, The Floating Island is NOT the only place to find echidnas…sadly the Floating Island echidnas have forgotten the existence of “The Lost Tribe”. Centuries ago before the appearance of the Great White Comet threatened the echidna civilization of Downunda, the people were thrown into an uproar in a debate over how to handle the coming of the comet. While one side argued to use the Chaos Emerald technology to “uplift” a portion if the ground, another side simply ventured that they seek land elsewhere. Led by a radical called Arrakis, they took only the technology that was needed and fled the site only to watch while the Echidnas used the expirimental technology to uplift the newly christened “Floating Island” and barely escaping the Comet which exploded upon impact and shaped out the Great Downunda Crater. The tribe traveled as far as they could seeking out the fabled lost city of Albion, but as each step grew more weary the little technology they had fizzled out and the became the victims of Overlander attacks, hard luck, getting run off of land, and even later on into the years – Robotnik assaults. Similar to Guardianship, The Tribe is led by a “Mitre” with Athair being prophecised as its last one, but in his last days, Knuckles took command and helped them to finally locate thier lost city – almost a century later. The tribe has now been accepted into Albion, where they are finally happy and free from the dangers and hardships they once experienced…

Summary

Many years ago, before the roboticiser, Robotnik dealt in the process of creating “cyborgs” – half animal, half robot. However Robotnik quickly scrapped that project due to the fact that none of the Mobian Monkeys could handle it, except for one – Monkey Khan. Robotnik had built him to be TOO POWERFUL and as a result he ended up with a hotheaded powerhouse that he couldn’t control. Locking Monkey Khan in a metallic crypt in which he couldn’t escape, Khan rested there for 10 years until Sonic, Sally, and Antione accidentally discovered it and freed him. Sonic and Khan hit off on the wrong spot IMMEDIATELY and as a result they ended up fighting each other more than anything else. However in the long run they parted as friends as Khan left to return to his native home of the Dragon Kingdom. It wasn’t until a few weeks later that Sonic and Tails discovered him at the base of Mount Stormtop under the control of The Iron King and Iron Queen. They managed to free Khan from the grip of the Iron Queen as well as destroying her “Eternal Flame” spell that she had set upon Mount Stormtop. Khan decided to stay there among the simple villagers and live out his supposed destiny as prophecised “Monkey King” of the Dragon Kingdom. He defended the villagers from various attacks until Robotnik (SA-style Eggman) took him off guard and captured all the villagers and roboticized them all. Monkey Khan has an intense hatred for all overlanders now. When Sonic was trying to warn the overlanders–who had just returned after a decade in space–of the dangers of Robotnik, Monkey Khan’s attack in blind hatred scared the overlanders and they went straight into the “safety” of Robotnik.

Faraway in the country of Mercia there once was a band of Freedom Fighters that fought against a tyrant known simply as “The High Sherriff” – an underboss of Doctor Robotnik. Their leader, a hedgehog called Rob headed the Krazy Kritter Freedom Fighters and their fight for freedom went on – until distaster struck…The entire roster of the Krazy Kritter FF’s fell to the roboticizer, leaving Rob behind to fend for himself against the sherrif. Rob sent his only relative – a cousin named Amy Rose – off to Knothole village where she would be safe while he kept the fort. Enter a couple of years later when Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails arrive. While Knuckles had come face to face with Athair, an associate named Yanar, and a group of “lost echidnas” known as The Forgotten Tribe, Sonic, on quest to find Ixis Naugus, discovered that the High Sherriff was really the roboticized father of Antoine D’Coolette, one of the Knothole Village Freedom Fighters. Taken prisoner by General D’Coolette, Sonic, Tails, and Yanar awaited their fate while Knuckles, Rob, and an echidna named Mari-An sought to find out what became of the passengers of Tails’ crashed biplane and the now kidnapped Forgotten Tribe. Sonic and Tails, after their own escape, helped Rob to free what was left of the Forgotten Tribe and save Yanar from facing a sentence of a public hanging but in the end it was not enough to restrain General D’Coolette who managed to escape in an explosion. Sonic and company rescued their friends and The Forgotten Tribe and parted ways with Rob, vowing to return. Afterwards – while on a quest to locate the lost city of Albion with Knuckles, Rob discovered his true love in the form of Mari-An, the same echidna that assisted Knuckles before. Together the two stayed behind and continue to live in the forests of Mercia. And together they guard the Stonehenge-like entrance to Albion.

Summary

A member of the Lost Tribe of Echidnas looking for Albion, when the Tribe arrived in Mercia she realized that her brothers were missing. When Knuckles was going to search for them by himself, she showed him that she knows how to take care of herself and the two went off together. Eventually they split up to cover more ground, and when she ran into Knuckles again, he was with Rob, who challenged her to a fight on a log in the nearby creek. After easily knocking Rob into the water, the two exchanged a glance and it was love at first sight. The trio ran into Sonic and Tails and the five of them saved Yanar from being hung by the High Sheriff and rescued the Tribe (who had been captured and were working as slaves). While Knuckles led the Tribe to Albion, she decided to stay in forests of Mercia with Rob in his fight against the High Sherriff.

Summary

Originally hailing from the rough terrain of Downunda, Crocbot is probably one of the STRONGEST Underbosses Robotnik has. However he is also the largest evil streak – and would do anything in his will to not only dethrone Doctor Robotnik – but kill Tails at ANY COST. Especially seeing as how it was Tails who was responsible for destroying his body and fusing him permanently to his tank with a bomb! Upon reaching Downunda, Tails encountered the Downunda Freedom Fighters – a group of Australian FF’s that sought to free to thier country from Robotnik’s rule. Inviting himself on his quest after he was recued and taken to Athair – Knuckles’ grandfather, Tails and Guru Emu – in an attempt to rescue one of thier comrades, Wombat Stu, let loose with a supply of Bomberangs. As Crocbot was hit with the bomberang, his tank skidded out of control and went flying into the Floating Island crater where the tanks nuclear core exploded. But Crocbot was NOT gone for good. After Tails left he set up his new base in that very crater! Taking his new army of Combots on loan from Doctor Robotnik, that area served as his base of operations until The Downunda Freedom fighters destroyed it and finally liberated thier country from his grip. This time Crocbot lost the entire lower half of his body, but he still wasnt through – he had managed to capture one of the Downunda FF’s and implanted a mind control chip on him. It wasn’t until Sonic and Tails came along on thier quest to locate Ixis Naugus, that Crocbot was finally stepped on for good. Taken in custody, Sonic took Crocbot’s battered remains back to Mobotropolis only to have it stolen by part of Snively’s gang in an attempt to revive all of Doctor Robotniks associates after his “death” – the possible purpose being: to fully rebuild him. Crocbot’s wherabouts at this time, are unknown…

Far beneath the surface of the Great Mobian Ocean rests an underwater bot base – home of the malicious Octobot, a giant blue mech squid that serves as one of Robotnik’s underbosses! In fact, Octobot’s existance under the seas would have remained unknown to the Freedom Fighters had Tails not encountered him during the maiden voyage of the Sea Fox. Octobot hates Tails with a passion almost as strong as Crocbot and would also gladly kill him for virtually ruining his many plans. Discovering the underwater roboticisation factory once mainted by Jaws ( One of the badniks from Sonic 1), Tails destroyed the submerged base and left Octobot a complete laughing stock among the Bot community. However what Tails didn’t know was that Octobot wanted revenge – and while on a mission to prove himself in Downunda, Octobot scuttled the Sea Fox by puncturing it with his drill tentacles and drug Tails beneath the ocean in an attempt to drown him. Tails was rescued by The Forty Fathom Freedom Fighters – a group of underwater FF’s and later saved, but Octobot’s fate during the rescue? Crushed beneath the massive weight of thier largest member – Fluke The Blue Whale. Octobot survived the incident – though somewhat flat – and hasn’t been seen since: most likely stewing in his own juices over revenge. But it is known that he is not completely destroyed and still continues to hold a HUGE grudge against the guy that started it all – Tails The Fox.

During Sonic’s absence in space, Mina began dating her manager, Ash. Ash is a very caring Mongoose who loves Mina a lot, but he doesn’t really see eye to eye with Sonic. The two are quite competitive and tend to get on each others’ nerves quite a bit.

When Mina’s life was threatened by Nack’s assasination attempt and Sonic was put in charge of her security, Ash was especially unhappy. He accused Mina of still loving Sonic and subconciously writing her songs about him. The broke up briefly, but when Mina was attacked again by Heavy and Bomb, it was Ash who saved her life and the two were brought back together, resolving the love triangle once and for all.

Biotex is a planet with an atmosphere of very dense smog. The planet has deadly microbes, so the dominant species evolved into living metal, which allwed them to survive under such harsh conditions. When the Bem scientist Ceneca-9009 visited the Biotex, she saw the metallic Biotexans and was moved with pity. She invented the Derobotizer to turn them into creatures of flesh. This had disastrous results, casuing the entire race to become extinct. Biotex has been presumably unpopulated since then, with the exception of the microbes.

Argentium is one of the worlds that Sonic visited while he was travelling through space. He visited the planet with the hopes of finding a way to return to Mobius. He found this, but he also found much more: Tails’s parents, for instance, not to mention the reason that the Robians had been derobotized. It was here that Sonic helped Ceneca-9009 escape from capital punishment for her derobotization of all Robians.

Robotnik may use the regular Mobians – roboticised and stripped of thier free will as his worker drones, but whether patrolling the dark empty streets of Robotropolis or covertly operating the attacks in Geographic regions such as The Great Forest and the country of Downunda – you’ll be certain sooner or later to run into ‘The Bot Squad’ ! Robotnik’s personal created assault bots that perform various duties around Mobius.

Swatbots – Usually found in the employ of Doctor Robotnik, swatbots are most likely found patrolling the streets of Robotropolis. Programmed with the “Priority One” code, when Sonic the Hedgehog is sensed in the area they will go on a red alert and attack at all costs. The weakest of the 4 bots, Swatbots are easily taken out by Sonic most of the time, but they still maintain and serve a good purpose to the Doctor when necessary.
Combots – The Swatbot upgrade resulted in a new form of bot alogether – the Combot! The ultimate “army” bot, combots are used most likely in reconnaissance missions by Robotnik, but are under the constant employ of Crocbot – Robotnik’s Downunda subboss! Empowered with the ability to “camouflage” themselves ala Espio the Chameleon, they literally can render themselves “invisible” and blend in with the background. Located in their hands they contain an energy lash which they can use to electrocute their victims, and also possess a large amount of guns and such in their arsenal. They feel most swatbots are “inferior” to them and are usually not afraid to say this… strange for one of the few “mindless” bots in Robotnik’s employ.
Eggbots – Hatching from large cybernetic eggs and flying overhead in the skies are the Eggbots! Shaped round like the Eggman, these bots whimsical appearance often distracts from the fact that they are often the most vicious and hardest to get rid of! Attacking in multiple groups and equipped with high fire laser blasters, Eggbots are usually under the employ of Snively – Robotnik’s assistant – though Robotnik has been known to use them himself at times…
The Dynamac 3000 – The ULTIMATE Robotnik assault bot, the Dynamac can adapt to ANY given situation and manipulate himself to take control and turn him into THE MOST formidable opponent in the Bot Squad! In fact, Dynamacs are so powerful that the only way to really defeat them are by shorting them out with a massive surge of electricity! Not an easy thing to do for a bot that can anticipate your moves…

Who is Fiona Fox? Was she a real fox once that was used as the basis for this Robot Duplicate, or is that all she is? It’s unknown at this time…After the fiasco with Princess Sally and Geoffrey St. John, Doctor Robotnik deemed his newest creation – The Auto Automation’s “unusable” due to their instant rusting upon contact with water – a fault in the metal and production. However, there was one chance that he could not look up. tails – frustrated over being treated as a kid by the Freedom Fighters – decided to run away and came upon an island populated by a single fox named Fiona. What he didn’t know was that Robotnik knew of his “argument” with Sonic and decided to manipulate it to his best ability. Creating an island that was ACTUALLY a roboticizer, and using Fiona as bait, Robotnik planned on capturing tails and roboticising him once and for all! Tails developed a love for for Fiona, not knowing what she really was, and upon her taking him to her den, she trapped him in the roboticiser as Robotnik revealed his plan! Tails managed to shed enough hair by twirling his tails and clogging the combines. The roboticiser exploded and Tails escaped, but afterwards Fiona let loose an all out attack – and would have drowned him had the rusting of her metal not immediately taken place…Tails escaped alive and discovered plans to load of shipment of weapons to Crocbot. Determining to prove himself to the Freedom Fighters, he left to stop it, but not before saying his goodbyes to Fiona. And as Tails pulled away in The Sea Fox, a single tear fell from the eyes of the rusted robot on the beach where they fought. She still stands there to this day…

In the parallel universe called the Anti-Mobius, the Anti-Freedom Fighters exist causing havoc and destruction. Only the kind Dr Kintobor is able to stop them just a little from totally wreaking everything after the rundown state they’ve brought to Mobotropolis. Evil Sonic is the leader and they did once travel as a group to Sonic’s own universe to wreak some havoc. The group was frustrated by Dr Kintobor stopping them so many times, that they walked out on Evil Sonic and are now led by Evil St. John.

Nack is a sleazy and violent bounty and treasure hunter, hated by most and mistrusted by anyone who knows of him. Nack is known to double cross anyone in his path and would stab his own mother in the back if he could find a profit in it. He works for whichever side pays him more, but most often he’ll just be working for himself. He gets around using a speedy little ion-powered airbike called the Marvelous Queen, but he can also leap to lofty heights using his long tail like a spring.

After laying low for months, he was hired by Robotnik Mk II to assassinate Mina Mongoose, but he was caught by the Freedom Fighters. He’s currently in jail and, unfortunately for him, sharing a cell with some fromer accomplices who he double crossed.

Serving underneath the auspices of Mammoth Mogul as his personal enforcers, the Fearsome Foursome first came upon the scene when Mogul reintroduced himself to the Chaotix as one of the Ancient Rulers of Mobius. Each one given thier own special powers, The Foursome are more than willing to carry out thier orders whenever necessary and are always ready to dish out whatever is commanded of them! After near-succesfully impersonating the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix respectively thanks to Mammoth Mogul’s manipulation of Chaos Energy, The Foursome were finally brought down when each group figured out what was going on after all the confusion! Since then they had remained jailed up until Robotnik’s break out of the Prison Cells at the Devil’s Island Gulag. Wreaking havoc with Snively as current commander along with Warlord Kodos, Arachnis, Drago, and Slueth Dog – the Foursome helped out whenever necessary in the attempt to take back Mobotropolis from the Freedom Fighters, by kidnapping Nate Morgan. Afterwords, they were roboticized and apparently destroyed. They have apparently returned in flesh form since the Xorda conflict, only to be turned once agian into Robots by a mysterious, unknown entity.

Sergeant Simian – The leader of the Fearsome Foursome, Simian most likely hails from the warlike Guerilla Camps of the Great Mobian Jungle (Sonic #45). Armed to the teeth with grenades, guns, and anything else in his arsenal, Simain posses the power of strength and is often the first to question any orders given to him.
Predator Hawk – The second member of the group, Predator Hawk is most likely the tactical man. Skilled exceptionally in the powers of flight, Hawk is quick, agile, and very skilled at flushing out his opponents from hiding. Hawk is a sort of “wild card” of the group and is also one of the most outspoken, usually putting out his comments whether needed or not.
Lightning Lynx – The third member of the group, Lightning Lynk is the only member of the group that could probably go toe to toe with Sonic – Lynx was blessed with the power of Super Speed! While he is certainly not as fast as Sonic, he can certainly run rings around anybody! Lynx is basically the show off of the group, seeming to be impulsive in action, but will take any order given to him.
Flying Frog – The fourth and final member of the group, Flying Frog is the goofball, and you can tell it by his expressions, right down from the Buck teeth and long face to the slack jaws, Frog is the groups comic relief. Flying Frog does not “fly” per se but most likely uses the flaps connected to his arms and legs to soar against the wind currents sort of like what Knuckles does with his dreads.

Summary

Once a member of the Wolf Pack Freedom Fighters, Drago was the wild card of group – usually the first to disobey orders and go off on his own tangent. Quick to act on his lust for the easy life, Drago allied himself with Robotnik Prime. Through abuse, Drago convinced his girlfriend Hershey to go into Robotropolis wearing a Sonic suit claiming that he had “valuable information” on how to stop the Eggman’s nephew, Snively, once and for all. Unbeknownst to Hershey, the suit was fitted with an optical device that caused her to believe that anyone she saw was Snively. Becuase of this, Hershey nearly killed Sally, believing all the while that she was killing Snivelly.

When Hershey realized that she was the cause of Sally’s near-death experience, the relationship was obviously over. Drago attempted a hasty escape but was soon captured and sent to the Devil’s Gulag with several other prisoners. After the mass jailbreak from the Devil’s Gulag, Drago teamed up with Sleuth Doggy Dogg and the Fearsom Foursome and hid out for a while, until he allied himself with Robotnik Mk II. This caused him to be roboticized and shortly thereafter he was caught in an exploding building.

Drago’s current whereabouts are unknown. Apparently, he and his allies managed to escape destruction and were later derobotized by the Bem. Robotnik Mk II found robots that looked very much like the Robian versions of Drago and company, but they may only have been duplicated. Nevertheless, the duplicates had recordings of Drago and company allying themselves with the entity known as Anonymous, so where he is now is anybody’s guess.

Now buddy buddy with Drago Wolf after their escape from the Devil’s Island Gulag, Sleuth Doggy Dog was the original traitor to the Kingdom of Acorn! Serving in the Freedom Fighter’s Spy Network, headed by Sonic’s Uncle Chuck, Sleuth Dogg worked along side 2 other Networkers – Kicksalot and Fly Fly Freddy. What none of them knew however was that Sleuth was a double agent – working alongside of Doctor Robotnik! It led to many situations going wrong on reconaissance missions, such as Sonic getting captured and brainwashed, The Combots invading the Great Forest, and other such mishaps that involved the Spy Network. For the longest time – no one could figure out how Robotnik could seemigly anticpate much of their moves. And then came the dissapearance of Fly Fly Freddy….Upon a mission to gather Power Rings to the Zone Of Silence’s crystallization effects upon King Acorn – Sleuth revealed himself as the treasonous traitor he was! Roboticizing Freddy, Sleuth and an army of Swatbots laid their attack at the Lake Of Rings in hopes to capture the FF’s once and for all! Sadly, Freddy was shot down in the ensuing fracas, but Sleuth was brought down thanks the perfect timing of a Power Ring and the quick actions by Knuckles who had returned just in time to repay a favor. Sleuth was imprisoned and sentenced to the Devil Island Gulag for an indefinite sentence – but escaped along with the rest of the gang upon Robotnik’s mass breakout! Currently he’s on the run along with the rest of them – but with his tendencies to stab anybody in the back that comes his way, along with knowing a few Robotnik secrets, he can make a formidable opponent if necessary…

You think that Sonic’s world is populated by all animals with Snively and Robotnik being the exceptions? Think again…Overlanders are in quite large abundance on the planet, but are only concentrated in small areas. Not making much interaction with the “mutated animals” of the planet, Overlanders are perceived as warlike, quite willing to kill whenever necessary, and often VERY dangerous. In fact this is the species that Doctor Robotnik and his nephew Snively hail from. Usually in Flashback sequences, The Kintobor family (Robotnik) seems to hold high position in Overlander society. In fact just like society today, their society operates like ours – only more contained and futuristic. there are judges, police, scientists, large armies, black people, white people, etc…the list goes on and on. For now the first person in Sonic’s world that has disproven the “sterotype” that all Overlander’s are bad is Nate Morgan. The Great War against the Overlanders and The Kingdom Of Acorn before Robotnik’s near planetary takeover, the Overlanders being responsible for the coma of Queen Alicia and death of Geoffrey St. John’s father – even Robotnik’s presence alone is enough to give them all a bad name. Anti-Overlander sentiment (racism) often runs rampant among the furries, but not all the Overlanders are villians, but not all of them are exactly friendly. Their origins on the Planet Mobius, however, still remain a mystery…

Summary

Anyone familiar with Superman’s nemesis Mr. Mxyzptlk , the reality warping imp from the fifth dimension, is bound to get a field day off these two. In a deliberate spoof on Superman’s “greatest foe” – Al (The Short one) and Cal (The Tall one), are the epitome of annoyance in Sonic’s universe. A group of troublemaking imps, Al and Cal hail from an area called the Unknown Zone and basically: all they ever want to do is play! They can warp reality with a single thought and it usually relates to nothing but complete confusion for Sonic and Tails. Either playing practical jokes on each other or thier victims or just spreading a little mischief, Al and Cal are basically screwy from the get go. However even they were not able to escape the madness that was the Ultimate Annihilator. When the massive nuclear powered weapon exploded “killing” Doctor Robotnik – it caused the buffers between Zones to literally break down, resulting in the creation of new ones, the destruction of old ones, or the mutations of other ones. The latter is what happened to the Unkown Zone – and when Sonic and tails were dragged into it yet again, they came to find that the dimension had now reverted into a complete warzone with a “roboticiszed” Al and Cal permanently locked in war: the complete opposite of thier previous incarnation. Sonic and Tails, after wearing off the effects of the zone on themselves, managed to escape without harm, but for right now Al and Cal’s dimension is still “World War 3” and whether or not they managed to change the effects that the Annihilator had on the zone and themselves, is still questionable…

Mammoth Mogul was born eons ago a simple wooly mammoth that lived in the natural order of things, but his whole life changed when he came upon an unknown meteorite-like jewel that fell from the sky, embedded itself into its chest and granted him limitless power. He became master of all he surveyed, but was eventually dethroned by the other races of the planet. During the time afterwards, he discovered that the jewel he found was the most potent form of energy in the universe – the Chaos Emerald! With it he had evolved faster than any other animal on the planet and he was ready again after centuries of dormancy, to take his former position as Mobius’ ruler. With Robotnik out of the way thanks to Snively and The Ultimate Annihilator, Mogul sought to take the Floating Island’s Chaos Emerald, but failed realising the direct approach wouldn’t work. Next he schemed to obtain the mystical Sword of Acorns – King Acorn’s magical talisman that serves as an enery conduit capable of draining the powers out of anyone – or anything!…In his quest for power, it took the Chaotix and the Freedom Fighters combined to fully defeat him, but what they didn’t realise is that in the end Mogul STILL had the sword and Sonic and Knuckles were left with the fake! With step one out of the way, his next appearance peaked as he drained EVERY DROP Enerjak’s Chaos Emerald Power using the Sword of Acorns. Reducing Enerjak to aged dust, Mogul became super and reverted into “Master Mogul”! And infused with the power of 12 Chaos Emeralds with all but the Floating Islands emeralds left he went completely mad with power! After battling Super Sonic, Hyper Knuckles, and Turbo Tails, The Freedom Fighters, The Chaotix, General Stryker, and even with Athair and The Ancient Walkers stepping in, Mogul succeeded in getting into the Island’s Chaos Chamber but had absorbed TOO MUCH POWER and thanks to Locke and Sabre – Knuckles’ father and grandfather – he finally ended up encased forever in the newly dubbed “Master Emerald” – which consisted of a 14th Chaos Emerald with Mogul’s life essence trapped dormant in its core! Recently, Mogul escaped from the core when RoboRobotnik (SA-style Eggman) shattered the Master Emerald. Mogul hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Summary

As the leader of the Dark Legion, Dimitri has never seen eye to eye with the Brotherhood of Guardians. Although he eventually came to a wary peace agreement with the guardian Kncukles, relations have not always been so good. Dimitri and his brother Edmund created the Chaos Syphon which was supposed to return the Floating Island onto the Mobius Mainland. However, it backfired and infused Dimitri with the emerald energy instead. Dimitri went positively insane with the power of 11 Chaos Emeralds howling inside him, and he became the villainous Enerjak.

He remained buried in an avalanche under Mount Fate until he was revived centuries later. There he rebuilt his “master city” of Nekronopolis – Echidnaopolis remade – until Knuckles and The Chaotix shot him into deep space. Thanks to Mammoth Mogul, Enerjak returned where he resumed leadership of the Legion from Kragok, his own grandson several generations removed. Enerjak didn’t realise that he was a pawn in Mogul’s scheme and after all those centuries of Chaos energy he could do nothing as every drop of it was drained out of him, reducing him to his true age – that of a shriveled old echidna that could barely breathe.

Seeking to keep him alive, the DL managed to infuse his aged body with cybernetic parts, making him a cyborg barely capable of living. Under this condition, he has been forced to accept the help of his once-hated relative Kncukles, whose help has proved useful on several occasions. Dimitri’s current whereabouts are unknown, and Lein-Da has taken over the Dark Legion.

Enerjak may be the definitive Knuckles villian, but Kragok is the DEFINITE Knuckles rival! Just as evil as his Great Grandfather Enerjak, Kragok – the son of Luger – is 33-4 years old. An insane rival of Knuckles he’s akin to looking at Knuckles in a mirror. Kragok hates Knuckles with a heated passion (which is mutual) and if you get the two in a room together they’ll beat each other silly for hours and probably never stop. Kragok had been trapped in the Twilight Zone – the Dark Legion’s old prison – along with Tobor, one of the lost guardians. However, when the portal to the zone opened up with a Dark Legion airship nearby, Tobor forced Kragok along with himself into the beam from the Quantum Cannon, which destroyed the cannon as well as killed them both.

Summary

Hundreds of years ago, before the citizens of Echidnaopolis renounced technology, there were rumors of a hooded clan that walked the streets and skulked in the shadows. They came to be known as the Dark Legion. Led by Menniker, the son of Dimitri (also known as Enerjak), the Dark Legion has hosted a centuries long visage of evil and were responsible for the death of Edmund, the very first guardian. They terrorized the Floating Island until they were banished to a prison-like area called the Twilight Zone by Menniker’s cousin Steppenwolf. After returning to Mobius Prime, they sought to bring back technology to an extreme rivaled almost by that of Robotnik himself. The ritual for induction was an echo of this purpose–one replace a body part or certain area of one’s body with cybernetic pieces.

Fanatically loyal to Dimitri, they once did his evil bidding but have become useful since Dimitri allied himself with Knuckles. Since Dimitri’s disappearance, the Legion is know under the wing of Lien-Da, whose motives are shady but seems to have the best interests of all echidnas at heart.

Summary

Hawking was the Guardian of the Floating Island when the Dingoes, life-long enemies of the echidnas in general, launched a nuclear attack on Echidnaopolis. Hawking used a dome shield to protect the city from the initial onslaught of the missiles, but the nuclear fallout threatened all life on the Floating Island. Using plans from Dimitri, he created the Hyper Zone Projector and placed Echidnaopolis (along with all other inhabitants of the Floating Island–including the dingoes) into pocket zones. While everyone was safe in their zones, the Brotherhood went about cleaning up the Floating Island and Hawking handed down the mantle of Guardianship to his son, Tobor. Eventually, Hawking returned all Floating Island inhabitants back to the Floating Island, except for Echidnaopolis and the Dingoes. Both returned thanks to the effects of Robotnik’s Ultimate Annihilator, which erased all life on Mobius for an instant and broke down barriers between zones. However, when Hawking did his part to save Echidnaopolis, he ended up in a coma, which he never did wake up from and eventually died.

Summary

Tobor was the first Guardian in charge of Echidnaopolis after the nuclear attack incident on the Floating Island, which left the city in its own pocket zone. It wasn’t long before Moritori Rex led the Dark Legion, with its tanks and blasters, against the citizens of Echidnaopolis, armed with only farming tools. Eventually, Tobor and Moritori went one-on-one, but when Tobor seemed to gain the advantage, Moritori used a device that transported the two of them into ruins on the Floating Island which buried the duo. Some time later, Tobor heard his father calling his name, but soon realized the Hawking mistook Moritori Rex for himself. After a day, Tobor freed himself from the rubble but with a feeling of shame, wandered the Mobian mainland where a doctor gave him cybernetic eyes to replace his failing real eyes. Many years later, Tobor finally returned to the Floating Island and met Julie-Su, who he attacked at first, but allowed her to take him to met Knuckles, the current Guardian. When Knuckles went to “interrogate” Kragok, Tobor eventually sensed trouble. While the portal to the Twilight Zone was still open, Tobor made sure that it closed with him and Kragok in the zone so that there would be one less Legionnaire to contend with. That same attitude was on display when the two finally managed to escape the Twilight Zone right in front of a Dark Legion aircraft, which was firing a beam that Tobor made sure to destroy along with Kragok even though he knew it meant his own death.

As the daughter of Sojourner, Janelle-Li was the first (and currently only) female Guardian of the Floating Island. Her husband died shortly after Athair was born. As inhabitants had finally been returned to the Floating Island after the Brotherhood spent years of cleaning up the nuclear waste, she raised Athair on her own for his eventual Guardian duties. When Athair reached the age of 9, Janelle-Li “abandoned” Athair for Haven. However, when the Ancient Walkers brought Athair to Haven and she was made aware of the fact that Athair was needed to be Mitre of the Lost Tribe of Echidnas, she took upon the mantle of Guardian again–leaving Haven and the Brotherhood. When she was going to die, Athair refused to leave the side of the Tribe, but Sabre, who was around 7 years old, went to Floating Island to continue the Guardian tradition.

Kommissar, the twin sister of Kragok, is a schemer and like her brother has no qualms about killing as it is hinted that they masterminded the “accidental death” of their step-mother, who they both hated. They both didn’t like Luger’s more “peaceful” reign over the Dark Legion and their father “mysteriously disappeared” which allowed them to take over the Legion, with Kragok as first in command. Kommissar also has deep hatred for Julie-Su as she never wanted another sibling when her mother, Merin-Da, died due to illness. Currently she’s the leader of the Flame Legion, a branch of the Dark Legion (which is the middle of its own civil war).

Summary

Stryker is the leader of the dingoes who have fought off and on with echidnas for many generations (even before the Guardian/Dark Legion split). He can be hotheaded and is never hesitant to fight at a moments notice. While he doesn’t trust echidnas at all, he seems to sort of respect Knuckles after their fight and the fact that Knuckles wouldn’t let the dingoes automatically be arrested or detained for any reason. Stryker even assisted Remington in the fight against the Dark Legion and Master Mogul. However, Stryker is tired of waiting for the Council of Echidnas to make good on their promise for housing for the stranded dingoes–who lost their city when Echidnaopolis returned–and was in the process of leading a dingo rebellion in Echidnaopolis as the Quantum Beam was fired sending everyone on the Floating Island into an unknown zone. What happened to him afterwards is unknown.

While Hershey was forgiven by everyone for her accidental role in the near death of Princess Sally, the guilt from the ordeal still bothers her and she has never forgiven Drago for using her, especially since she thought that he did love her. Her smarts and agility make her valuable in a fight, even though she hates any kind of precipation or water. Still, she might even have a little crush on Geoffrey as well.

As the leader of the Wolf Pack, Lupe represented the strong spirit of the team and lent a helping hand toward Sally whenever she could. Lupe, in defiance of the general anti-overlander sentiment among Mobians, adopted two lonely overlander girls into the Pack. Unfortunately when the Pack reached home to reunite with the family members they had left behind, the Pack was caught off guard and captured by Uncle Chuck, who was under Robotnik’s control–the current Robotnik (not the dead one). Lupe was roboticized, but she fought off the mind control long enough to enable the rest of the Pack to escape. As the control was starting to take affect, she figured she would be better off staying instead of becoming a possible danger to the Pack. In memory of her leadership and bravery, the Wolf Pack put up a tomb stone dedicated to Lupe. Due to nearly everyone being deroboticized, Lupe is now leading the Wolf Pack again.

This character is a version of the character Sonic as portrayed in the Mobius: 25 Years Later setting, a possible future of Mobius Prime. Information revealed in this profile is not relevant to the character in the “present day” setting, which is set in the Mobian year year 3237.

In Mobius 25 Years later, Sonic has become the king. He is married to Sally, and they have two children, Sonia and Manik. Sonic is in many ways similar to his childhood self, but there are also several differences. For instance, Sonic has become far more reclusive and resentful of his royal posts. He often refuses to socialise at all, and has even stopped speaking to his former best friend, Miles “Tails” Prower.

King Sonic has a particular dislike for Knuckles, the guardian of Angel Island, with whom he rarely sees eye to eye and hasn’t for years.

The Arctic Freedom Fighters were a group of “Freedom Fighters” from who were from the North Pole of Mobius. Robotnik took over as they were visiting some friends, so they were forced to move underground near Robotropolis, creating an underground polar grotto to live in, since they are unable to survive easily in warm weather. In Sonic #26, they save the Freedom Fighters and help to destroy Robotnik’s weather machine. Two of them, Sealia and Augustus reappear later on, to help Rotor save his family from Robotnik’s mind control.

Erma – I have no clue what animal she is. I think she is a lynx or some other type of northern woodland animal. She has absolutely no real art, all she does is saw off a chunk of ice that Sonic is trapped by. A completely useless character.
Sealia – A seal. She doesn’t have any importance until Sonic #32, when she saves Rotor from drowning. We find that she has a French accent, and it is from her that we learn that the Arctic FF had scattered after their battle with Robotnik. She seems to be the only one that can really communicate to Augustus when he is mad.
Augustus – The brawn of the Arctic FF, and the only other Arctic FF to make a cameo in Rotor’s story. He is a polar bear who can lift heavy things easily, and he can even split glaciers in half. He almost kills Rotor in Sonic #32 because he thinks that Rotor is threatening Sealia.
Guntiver – a wolf with a green vest who is essentially the “leader” of the Arctic Freedom Fighters, if there is such a thing. He’s the one who explains to the Freedom Fighters who they are.
Flip – a penguin with a pink hat. He saves the Freedom Fighters from freezing to death, and he has the ability to skate on ice on his feet.

Renfield runs the Happyland Amusement Park on the Floating Island. First he helped Robotnik lure the Freedom Fighters into a trap, which resulted in the formation of the Chaotix since Knuckles needed help to save them. The next time he appeared he was using a “secret sauce” on the food served in the park to keep kids wanting to come back to eat the food at the park. However, he wasn’t in control of the operatiion as Downtown Ebony Hare took over and put Renfield in his place. The dosage on the food was too high and resulted in Mello’s death and putting the original four Chaotix members in the hospital. After Remington and the Chaotix shut down Ebony’s operation, Renfield was allowed to continue running the amusement park–WITHOUT the sauce (unless he wants Remington to arrest him as an accomplice).

Menniker was very devoted to his father, Dimitri, and when Dimitri (as Enerjak) was believed dead (buried under Mount Fate) he still continued to visit. He saw some energy released and figured that his dad was asking him to continue his work. While Menniker pretended to comply with the technology reduction put in place by the Echidna Council and enforced by Edmund, as the first Guardian, Menniker secretly rallied all the echidnas outraged by the Council’s decision. This group would become to be known as the Dark Legion. After Steppenwolf exiled Menniker and his group into the Twilight Zone, Menniker and the Dark Legion eventually escaped. Menniker planned a surprise attack on the Floating Island with the overlanders. However, Aaron, the current Guardian at the time, accidentally discovered the plot and tried to disarm the missile when the overlander leader fired it. Menniker jumped on the missile to stop Aaron but mentioned to Aaron not to press a button since it would cause the missile to detonate. Aaron purposely pressed it, killing them both, but saved the Floating Island.

Summary

Always friendly with his cousin Menniker, he helped out his father, Edmund, in enforcing the “new” technology guidelines for the citizens of Echidnaopolis. However, unlike his father, he paid attention to the growing opposition which walked around the city in dark hoods. When he was found out watching a secret meeting of this group, Steppenwolf managed to avoid the laser fire and get a boogie to escape, but the boogie was shot down. He survived the crash and hid. However, members of the group were looking for him and Edmund, who was looking for Steppenwolf, was shot & killed from behind when he attack two of their members. After the members were gone, Steppenwolf cried over his dad’s body and was eventually approached by the fire-ant called Christopheles. Christopheles promised to help and trained Steppenwolf in the sciences, built up his strength, and taught him how to access the power of the chaos emerald. Christopheles finally took Steppenwolf to a “secret” top of the line facility called “Haven.” Meanwhile, the warring between the followers of the Council new law and the Dark Legion (as it was finally known as) got worse. Steppenwolf approached the Council and reminded them that there’s always more than one option in whatever happens just before leaving to confront the Dark Legion. When he approached the Grandmaster, he was very surprised to find out that it was his cousin, Menniker. Steppenwolf still opened the portal to exile the Dark Legion though he didn’t like it at all. Years later, Brutus Kintobor came to the Floating Island with evil intentions, but Steppenwolf had the fire-ants mentally attack all the overlanders who ran away promising not to return. This event caused him to allow his son, Moonwatcher, to learn about Haven as the two then alternated duties over watching the Floating Island and checking out the mainland of Mobius for any beings that might try to hurt the echidnas on the Floating Island. He obviously went down in history as a very important echidna among the citizens of Echidnaopolis as many generations later Hawking would show Knuckles a statue of Edmund & Steppenwolf each holding up the Floating Island.

King Acorn originally had Geoffrey create this “strike force” in an attempt to find out the TRUE fate of his wife, Queen Alicia, and his son, Elias, as the Brotherhood had hidden the truth for so long. Successful in their first mission and with current peacefulness in Mobotropolis at the time with Ixis Naugus defeated and Dr Robotnik dead, King Acorn disbanded Sally’s Freedom Fighters in favor of the Secret Service. When Sonic and the Freedom Fighters went out into space and Robo-Robotnik attacked Mobotropolis, the team did what it could to evacuate the Mobians into Knothole–except for Valdez who elected to stay behind to hold off the Shadow-bots. On her solo mission, Hershey discovered that Valdez had definitely been roboticized and was now a servant in Robo-Robotnik’s army. With Robo-Robotnik around, the Secret Service and the Freedom Fighters had been working together–yet separately in many cases–to try to reclaim Mobotropolis. However, after Robo-Robotnik reprogrammed Heavy & Bomb and infested the remaining members with nano-bots, the Secret Service is off active duty for an unspecified amount of time.

Geoffrey – The leader of the group and assembled the original team as per King Acorn’s specifications: “A strike force of no more than 5 agents capable of covert assignments inside foreign territories.”
Valdez – The first recruit and a chameleon from the Floating Island. His camouflaging ability and knowledge of the Floating Island were his most most valuable assests to the team. He’s no longer a member as he has been roboticized.
Wombat Stu – The second recruit and youngest member of the group. His super hearing, quickness, and agility are his biggest assests. He also has a ton of fighting experience as a member of the Downunda Freedom Fighters.
Hershey – The third recruit and the only “local” member besides Geoffrey. Her greatest assests are her quick thinking as well as her computer skills.
Heavy & Bomb – The fourth and fifth recruits. Heavy’s ability to hack into computers and Bomb’s “explosive” attack from which he can rebuild himself are their contributions to the team.

Moritori Rex was the grandmaster of the Dark Legion back during the eras of Guardian Hawking and Guardian Tobor (probably started earlier but those were his most important years). He had a son named Luger and has three grandchildren: the twins, Kragok and Kommissar (Lien-Da is her real name), and Julie-Su (who he rather have nothing to do with since she’s a “traitor”). Moritori’s claim to fame is that he figured out a way to spy on other zones without being detected. He used this ability to spy on Hawking and Tobor. Echidnaopolis had been taken off the Floating Island and put into it’s own zone because of the dangerous radation levels from a dingo nuclear missile attack. Hawking went off to Haven and Tobor was now the official Guardian. Moritori decided to attack Echidnaopolis then and had a one-on-one fight with Tobor. He was losing the fight but he used his zone traveling device to take just the two of them to the Floating Island where some ruins collapsed on them. Then, Hawking searched the ruins for Tobor but he mistakening took Moritori instead thinking he had Tobor. Moritori then pretended to be “Tobor” and was a part of the Brotherhood and none of the Guardians knew anything was wrong. Unfortunately for Moritori Rex, the fact that the Brotherhood has kept Knuckles in the dark actually came in handy for when the real Tobor came back to the Floating Island after wandering Mobius in shame for decades. Things got worse for Moritori when Knuckles accidently found Haven and totally blew his cover (along with kicking his butt). Moritori Rex got some revenge back when the Dark Legion took over Haven, but they didn’t get Locke or Spectre who both rectified that little situation. He was last seen working as a high level operative when Dimitri was in charge of the Legion. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Summary

Several years ago, Ray was among many other Mobians being taken to an unknown base controlled by Robotnik. On the way to the base, Ray was polite to everyone and even gave up his seat to a girl. He also met Mighty, who was also being held captive, and Sonic, who was on one of his first ever Freedom Fighter missions. Inside the base, he and Mighty attempted to help a fox named Fiona when a robot guard said that “other plans” were in store for her. Eventually the guards put down their rebellion and put Mighty and Ray in separate cages, while Fiona was taken to Robotnik himself. Sonic freed Mighty and Ray and the three tried to rescue her. However, things didn’t go according to plan and when Ray touched the power stone, he mysteriously began to disappear. Sonic made a mad dash to get him, but he didn’t succeed. Mighty was very upset over the whole thing, but Sonic told Mighty to never give up hope. When Mighty returned to the base recently along with Fiona and Nic, to everyone’s surprise Ray was there still holding onto the power stone, but unable to escape. Nic “freed” Ray by blasting the gem, and Ray went with Mighty to the Floating Island where he was introduced to Mighty’s friends in the Chaotix.

When Dr. Robotnik took over Mobotropolis over a decade ago, one small band of Mobians stood out among the rest as a major force to be reckoned with. Residing in Knothole Village and led by Princess Sally, Sonic, Tails, Rotor, and Antoine are the original members of this group of “rabble rousers” (according to Robo-Robotnik). Growing up together without their parents they are a tight-knit family of sorts in their own right. The main core of the team is Sonic, Sally, Tails, Bunnie, Antoine, and Rotor. The Freedom Fighters help out any Mobian in need and do anything to hamper and/or ruin Robotnik’s plans. Their mission is to defeat Robotnik (no matter the version) forever and to reclaim Mobotropolis and restore the Kingdom of Acorn.

Sonic – The one-hedgehog robot wreaking crew. The generally brash and impatient member of the group, but has a heart of gold. He embodies the fighting spirit of the Freedom Fighters.
Sally – The clear-cut leader and tactical mission planner of the group. She’s a skilled fighter in her own right and whose patience and diplomacy contrasts with Sonic, but it works well with the two since they trust each other when it counts.
Tails – The youngest member of the group and has the widest range of skills. Besides being a skilled fighter, he’s fast, can fly, and also has some technological know-how.
Bunnie – The strongest member of the group with her roboticized parts. She’s always ready to take on Robotnik and besides her strength, she can fly, has a plasma cannon, and can extend her robotic limbs
Antoine – The oldest member of the group who’s a trained swordsman and well versed in the duties of those who work to protect the royal family.
Rotor – The tech-wiz of the group. His only weak spot is handling computers, but most of the gadgets the Freedom Fighters have are courtesy of Rotor. Whether it’s Tails’ Sea Fox, Bunnie’s enhancements, or his own “Party-Hearty Quadra Sonic Rock n’ Roller,” you can be sure that Rotor is one behind it.
Amy Rose – A very recent addition to the group after “aging” a bit. Energetic and always wanting to prove that she’s just as capable as everyone else.
Dulcy – Dulcy isn’t around much, but helps out whenever Sonic “whistles” for her or she notices something isn’t going well. She’s more or less a Freedom Fighter in reserve.

Rosie is the “mother-figure” for the Freedom Fighters. Sally’s governess when Sally was very young, Rosie also watched over Sonic, Rotor, Antoine, and Tails when they were kids in Knothole. She’s always calm and ready to listen to everyone’s problems and give advice as needed. Rosie is also pretty perceptive in figuring out how to say or do just the right thing to cheer up anyone, especially the Knothole Freedom Fighters, whenever they need it.

Julayla was Sally’s mentor and the closest thing Sally ever had to a real mother growing up. She trained Sally in her eventual duties as Princess-in-exile. When Julayla died, she left a chest full of items for Sally. One of them was a blue vest, which Sally now wears along with her boots. Another thing item in the chest led Sally on a quest. That quest resulted in Sally finding a scroll that said “To thine own self be true.” Sally doesn’t quite fully understand the real meaning behind those words yet, but will later on–if the future with Sally reigning as Queen happens to come to pass.

Mobie was found incased in ice by Antoine after an ambush of swatbots attacked them. Mobie is believed to be 8000 yrs old. After revived, he put up a fight and went in search for anyone he knew from 8000 years ago I assume.. Like they would be around. After recapturing him again and to help ihs problem with his sense of ‘unearthly’ environments, Uncle Chuck let Mobie off in the Mobian Jungle where Snively would wreak havoc with the the Eco-Destroyer. But would then suffer consequences. At this time, Mobie is most likely still residing in the jungle.

It is said that anyone with a fixation on explosives is leaning on the demented side. Bean is by no means an exception. This guy likes bombs, and he likes ’em a lot. Don’t let his innocent facade fool you, this guy is hauling major firepower.

Other than hanging out in a dynamite factory, little is known of Bean. Though according to rumours (though this has not been confirmed), Bean could be the son of Bin, a character from the original Sega arcade classic Dynamite Dux.

There isn’t much more to Bark than what you see. His speed is as slow as his legs make him appear, and his throws are as hard, painful and awe-inspiring as his long arms and upperbody would make you think.

The Chaotix was formed when Knuckles needed help to defeat Metal Sonic, Dr. Robotnik, and Renfield to save all the Freedom Fighters of Mobius. Ever since that battle, Knuckles has slowly learned that having some friends along to fight on his side in battles isn’t necessarily a bad thing. That’s the Chaotix in a nutshell. Individually, they all are Knuckles’ closest friends and live in various parts of the Floating Island. However, whenever there’s trouble and Knuckles needs help, they band together to help Knuckles end any and all threats to peace on the Floating Island.

Charmy – The smallest member of the group. Ususally can’t be detected by the enemy, which he uses to his advantage. He’s pretty strong considering that he can carry anyone while flying.
Espio – The most mysterious member of the group. He keeps to himself, but his camouflaging and wall climbing abilities are invaluable.
Vector – The loudest member of the group. Usually the one to express disagreement with a plan, but always follows along anyway. The best swimmer of the group.
Mighty – The strongest and friendliest member of the group. A little “happy-go-lucky” as he looks for the best in everyone and is more trusting than any other member.
Julie-Su – The reluctant joiner of the group with the most common sense. She’s also the only one who carries a weapon (unless you count Vector’s walkman as one too).
Ray – The newest addition. He’s usually with Mighty and is polite/quiet.
Heavy & Bomb – Brief one-time members. Mighty introduced them as they helped Knux, Vector, Espio, Charmy, & Mighty defeat Metal Sonic.

Gala-Na is the leader of the echidnas of Albion as the head of their Echidna Council. She dreams of the day when all the echidnas of Mobius live in Albion and hates the fact that the Brotherhood ignores her pleas to bring the echidnas of Echidnaopolis back to Albion. However, in things that she can control, she will do whatever it takes to achieve her objectives. The High Sheriff, who most likely did not even know Albion existed because of Albion’s shields, was brought to be dismantled after Rob blew up his castle (though she didn’t intervene when the High Sheriff was roboticizing other Mobians) since she felt the High Sheriff posed a threat. Fortunately for Antoine who was trying to get his father back, Knuckles disagreed with Gala-Na’s position and allowed Antoine & Bunnie to escape with the High Sheriff. Unfortunately for Knuckles, by using his chaos powers to do it, he reinforced Gala-Na’s fear of his powers so she attempted to have Knuckles’ powers removed from him. The process was interrupted by Charmy & Safron who couldn’t believe that echidnas (that aren’t Legionnaires) would be hurting Knuckles. So in the end, all she accomplished was to enrage Knuckles and to cause his powers to increase even more.

Ebony Hare is out to make money and doesn’t care what he has to do to get it, even if it includes killing someone. He had his own scientist develop a sauce filled with “lemon sundrop dandelion” poison in it and caused those who had too much of it to get sick. However, in small doses, it made those who ate food with it want it more so they would buy more of the food. Ebony’s biggest supply of the stuff was sent to Happyland Amusement Park, which he semi-took over from Renfield the Rodent after the Chaotix were hospitalized (from eating the food in the park) since it made the Echidna Security Team very suspicious. Unfortunately for his sake, it didn’t stop Remington, Julie-Su, Espio, Mighty, and Vector from ending his operation and landing him and his cohorts in jail.

600 years ago, Kayla-La and Jor-dann discovered a white comet on a collision course with Echidnaopolis, the Downunda city filled with echidnas. While Kayla-La thought of a plan to raise the city into the skies, Arrakis pleaded for the echidnas to stay on the Mobius mainland where they belong and just to look for a new place to settle. While the Echidna Council chose to follow Kayla-La’s plan, Arrakis convinced the Council to allow every citizen to make their own choice of whether to go to into the clouds or to re-settle elsewhere on Mobius. Arrakis lead those who decided to find a new home elsewhere. Things were tough going for the echidnas he led, but the Ancient Walkers came to him one night and told him to find Albion–the place where echidnas sprang forth. Arrakis was the first mitre of the Lost Tribe of Echidnas, who were mostly forgotten in history until Athair was chosen to be Mitre.

Harry was formerly a cabby in Echidnaopolis and was very happy with his simple life, preferring it to the militaristic life of following General Stryker. Full of street smarts, he was able to help out Constable Remington (as long as the parking tickets are taken care of & Remington “forgets” that he spoke with him) in terms of getting information about certain things happening in Echidnaopolis. However, like so many other things, Harry’s life has changed since the Xorda conflict. After Robotnik took over Angel Island and made dingoes rule the echidnas, Harry acted as a spy for the echidnas and has been quite useful to the good guys.

Monk usesd to bully Knuckles when Knuckles was around 10 years old. He became so good at it that the Brotherhood (in disguise) threw him off the Floating Island. After about 5-6 years, Monk managed to return. Wanting to go back to old times, he tried to bully Knuckles again but found that Knuckles wasn’t exactly the same. However, that was the least of his worries as Hunter used him and Knuckles as his next targets for his hunting game. Forced to work with Knuckles due to a collar that caused immense pain when the two were separated, he attacked Hunter directly when Hunter was distracted trying to shoot Knuckles. Monk was shocked and fell a great distance to the ground below. Whether it was the shock or the fall that killed him is debateable.

Hope was two years old when the overlanders left Mobius after the Great War to search for a new home. While they travelled in space, she was in “coldsleep” which allowed her to learn about Mobius’ history. When the overlanders returned to Mobius because of their power source being drained, she was the first one to see Sonic and was scared of him at first. Like the other Overlanders, she trusted Robotnik at first. However, she always felt he was hiding something and one day ran into a roboticized Mobian (though she didn’t know that at the time) which scared her. When Robotnik revealed that the Overlanders were all being exposed to hazardous chemicals, he showed Colin, Agnes, and Hope that he was a robot and roboticized both Colin and Agnes. Hope escaped, but when she was surrounded by Shadowbots, Sonic and Sally rescued her. After spending time in Knothole, she realized that Overlanders and Mobians are not that much different. Knothole is the most beautiful place she’d ever seen and has been allowed to stay instead of going to Station Square along with the other Overlanders.

Zonic is a zone cop and has the responsibility to make sure that balance is kept between the different realities. He walks sideways as a result of being from the No Zone. He’s the one responsible for allowing the Freedom Fighters to use the Cosmic Interstate without incident during their missions in the past and asks for Sonic’s help to take care of zone instabilities that occur from time to time. Zonic is in fact the No Zone’s version of Sonic.

Usually found in the employ of Doctor Robotnik, Swatbots are most likely found patrolling the streets of Robotropolis. Programmed with the “Priority One” code, when Sonic the Hedgehog is sensed in the area they will go on a red alert and attack at all costs. Swatbots are easily taken out by Sonic most of the time, but they still maintain and serve a good purpose to the Doctor when necessary.

Bernie (as everyone calls her) is Sonic’s mother. Like many Mobians, she took part in the Great War. After Sir Charles’ first attempt at roboticization led to Jules losing his free will, she tried her best to get Charles to continue his work with no success. When she went to visit Warlord Julian to see what he was doing, Julian used Jules to roboticize her. When Charles came to find out what happened to her, Julian said that she was messing with the roboticizer and caused herself to be roboticized. Ten years later when Charles got his free will back, Bernie was one of the few that Charles managed to give their own wills back to. She reunited with Jules, and became part of the secret resistance in Robotropolis. Since being reunited with Sonic after the defeat of the original Robotnik, she’s tried her best to be a supportive mother for Sonic since both she and Jules are aware that Sonic has grown up to be able to handle whatever life happens to send his way. As with all Robians (except her husband), Bernie has been turned back into a Mobian by Ceneca-9009.

Summary

Jules was the first one ever to be roboticized. He was severely injured in a battle during the Great War and his brother, Charles, used his new invention the Roboticizer (which no one knew had been tweaked by Warlord Julian) to try to help heal him. With his free-will gone, he was a servant of Julian/Robotnik for 10 years until Charles gave him his free-will back using a power ring. Eventually, reunited with his wife Bernie, they both made the decision not to tell Sonic about them being in Robotropolis helping in the resistance until Robotnik was defeated. Now that they have finally met Sonic again, Jules finds it hard to be the father he feels he should be to Sonic since Sonic is so used to confiding to Charles and Sonic is usually hoping to talk to Charles instead of Jules. Jules gives Sonic his space and is always supportative of him no matter what.

Prince Emerson meet an overlander boy called Paladin who was roughly the same age as he when walking though the forest. Nate reprogrammed Silver Sonic II to be a protector of Station Square. Silver Sonic II did his job well until he ran into Shadow stealing Station Square’s chaos emerald. Shadow destroyed him and it’s unknown whether or not he has been rebuilt.

Not much is known about him but he was roboticized and under Sleuth Doggy Dogg’s control. Albion is a large island off the shores of the Kingdom of Mercia. It’s the place where echidnas “sprang forth” and has become legendary to many of the current generations of echidnas. The only inhabitants of Albion are echidnas who’s ancestors weren’t adventurous like the ones that decided to find other places on Mobius to live. The technology in Albion is only rivaled by the Dark Legion and the Brotherhood in Haven and the Grand Conservatroy. Similiar to the echidnas on Angel Island, the echidnas here like their privacy and normally have a shield up that keeps their island home hidden from others. Rob O’ the Hedge stands as the main sentry of Albion, though he has only been there once.

Downunda is a very large island (you could call it a continent) with many different kinds of Mobians living in it. It also has a long history, though most of it is unknown. There’s a huge crater in Downunda, which is the spot where the Floating Island rose up into the skies. When Robotnik took over Mobotropolis, he set-up Crocbot as his sub-boss in Downunda who terrorized the residents until he was finally stopped by the Downunda Freedom Fighters when they helped Antoine & Bunnie escape. It is also the place that some rare ore is found–the ore Robotnik needed for his Ultimate Annihilator. Downunda is where Athair seemingly resided with the Ancient Walkers, at least by the time Tails made his first visit to the place he did.

This is the main city for finding echidnas outside of Albion. Originally part of Downunda, until a comet was spotted that could have destroyed it, it is now the main city of the Floating Island. It’s played host to various fights between the Dark Legion (aka DL) and whoever was the current Guardian at the time (and Brotherhood behind the scenes). The most notable known altercations that occurred inside Echidnaopolis were Steppenwolf versus the DL during the DL’s creation, Tobor versus the DL when Echidnaopolis was in its zone (explained next), and Knuckles/Chaotix/Constable Remington/General Stryker versus the Enerjak-led DL. For about the past 200 years, Echidnaopolis had been removed from the Floating Island and put into its own pocket zone due to radiation from a dingo nuclear strike. It only returned to the Floating Island thanks to Robotnik’s Ultimate Annihilator, which weakened barriers between zones and caused Echidnaopolis to return to its proper place. The downside was when it returned, it destroyed the dingo’s city so both the echidnas and dingoes have to learn to get along with each other in the same city.

Sid and Tone were locals of the Rocky Valley Zone who stumbled across a cave, complete with it’s own buried treasure hidden at the bottom of the cave. Dreaming of fortune they decided to be weary and sell the gold piece by piece, dressing up as Aliens to scare away any tourists in the area whilst they sold the gold piece by piece to stop anyone getting suspicious. Everything was going fine until Amy and Tekno turned up, and after seeing the aliens dug through to the cave behind them and found out that the UFO was made from Paper Mache! Sid and Tone removed their disguise and revealed their plan, after which Amy laughed them out of the cave by convincing them that it was Geeks Gold, a prop used in a local film called “Caves of Gold.” Blaming each other for the mistake they accidentally shot the roof of the cave, burying the entrance and angrily they departed. They never found out that there never was a film called Caves of Gold, and never saw Amy and Tekno digging to get back into the cave behind their backs.

The home of the displaced residents of Mobotropolis after Robotnik’s take-over of the city. It is the home and base of operations of Princess Sally and her Freedom Fighters, championed by Sonic. No one knows it’s exact history, but it is hidden somewhere within the Great Forest, an enormous and dense forest not too far away from Robotropolis (Robotnik’s name for Mobotropolis). When the original Robotnik was killed, Knothole (then known as Knothole Village) temporarily served as the home for the roboticized Mobians (aka Robians) who didn’t feel comfortable among the non-roboticized Mobians living in Mobotropolis. However, when Robo-Robotnik re-took Mobotropolis, Knothole again became the Mobians home away from home. When King Max was injured and made Prince Elias acting ruler in his place, Elias turned Knothole into the the actual center of the Kingdom of Acorn and gave Knothole the name “Kingdom of Knothole” as the fight against Robotnik was temporarily abandoned, until Sally got fed up and led the Freedom Fighters again, which also resulted in Elias in running away as he knew he had messed up as leader (something he felt Sally should’ve been doing in the first place). In the past year, Knothole has expanded into Knothole City, a bustling metropolis and home to the reistance against the Eggman Empire.

About 400 years ago, Steppenwolf used his newfound chaos powers to exile Menniker and the Dark Legion into another zone away from Echidnaopolis and the rest of Mobius. It was called the Twilight Zone by the Legionnaires and is basically a place in limbo. Any time the Dark Legion got out of the Twilight Zone, the current Guardian and the Brotherhood would send them back (until Knuckles). Knuckles made a brief visit to the Twilight Zone while Tobor and Kragok resided in the Twilight Zone together for some time until recently getting free.

It’s hard not to look at this thing without getting a chill down some part of your body. Clearly an imitation of Miles “Tails” Prower, Tails Doll doesn’t seem to adhere to the same construction as Metal Sonic and Metal Knuckles. In fact, he doesn’t seem to be a robot at all, he’s… just a doll. A doll who appears to draw his power from a mysterious red jewel on his head, which allows him to float above the ground, giving a hovering kind of feel.

Tails Doll, along with the mysterious technology it utilizes, has appeared once in Sonic R.

An unknown number of years ago, Pachacamac was leader of a tribe of Echidnas. The tribe had always strived on their own greed and desire for power, but it wasn’t until his mother had died that Pachacamac had lost every bit of compassion and empathy in his heart, even for his own daughter, Tikal.

It was he who had led the Echidna tribe to steal the Chaos Emeralds, which would grant their people absolute power, and was even willing to lead them trampling over his own daughter and innocent Chao creatures that stood in their way. This, of course, enraged Chaos, guardian of the Chao, who shortly thereafter absorbed the power of the Chaos Emeralds himself, and totaled the once great Echidna civilization.

The salamander was roboticized and enlarged because the buzzbombers mistook a certain button for the AC. Emporium is a vast city where Queen Aleena had hoped to trap Robotnik. Full of snake charmers, jewel merchants and other traders, the bazaar is full of interesting and unusual people of every size, shape and colour. Queen Aleena had hoped to trap Robotnik using a special jewel that would give away a fake location for herself but Sonic, Manic and Sonia blew the trap not realising that their mother was behind it all.

Summary

Mobotropolis was originally founded as the capital city of the Kingdom of Acorn. However, when Julian successfully completed his coup of King Max over a decade ago, he took the name Robotnik and renamed the city “Robotropolis.” He proceded to practically kill all life in the city and replace it all with machines and robots, some robots being roboticized Mobians who fought against his rule. As the center of Robotnik’s power, it was the place where Sonic and Freedom Fighters did most of their attacking. Once Robotnik Prime was finally defeated, Mobotropolis was rechristened and begun the slow healing process. However, its restoration was still in progress when Robo-Robotnik retook the city, forcing the kingdom to take refuge once again in Knothole. He also created a shield to surround the city so that if the Freedom Fighters are not careful he can trap them in the city with it. The city was destroyed, and the shield is currently standing and containing the nuclear fallout from the missile attack that brought it down.

Summary

Amadeus was the Second in Command of the Royal Guard during King Max’ rule and was thrilled about the prospect of becoming a father. However, King Max had announced the disbanding of the military and Amadeus was put in charge of overseeing the dismantling first hand. Since his wife Rosemary was due to have their child at any time, as he left to do his duty, he asked Sonic to keep an eye on his house since Sonic, Sally, Rotor, and Antoine were playing nearby.

When Amadeus arrived, he found that Warlord Julian (Who was eventually to become Robotnik) had entered the lab without waiting for him like Julian was supposed to do. Amadeus ended up witnessing someone being roboticized and hearing Julian talk about world domination. Amadeus tried to stop Julian by himself, but was captured and roboticized. As it turned out, Tails was born on this very day. Since it wouldn’t look right for Amadeus to not see his son, Julian came up with an excuse of Amadeus being around hazardous materials to cover up Amadeus so that no one realized that Amadeus was a robot when he went to see Tails, who the roboticized Amadeus rejected causing Rosemary to cry herself to sleep.

Shortly after this, Amadeus and Rosemary were both abducted by the alien Bem, and Amadeus was restored to flesh. Although they missed Tails, they lived a relatively comfortable life on Argentium, eventually encountering Sonic when he traveled there. Not long later, though, war broke out between the Xorda and the Black Arms, and the devastation brought Argentium to its knees. Amadeus and Rosemary were saved in the nick of time by Sonic and friends, and Amadeus resumed his position in service to the Court of Acorn, full of new ideas from his long stay on Argentium.

On the Anti-Mobius, the Guardian of the Sunken Island and its chaos emeralds is Anti-Knuckles. He was tricked by Evil Sonic into thinking that Knuckles had stolen the chaos emeralds that keep the Sunken Island’s air containment field operational. Speaking with an Irish accent, Anti-Knuckles generally prefers to be peaceful instead of fighting. In the end, Knuckles and Anti-Knuckles worked together to stop Dr. Robotnik’s scheme using the chaos emerald that held up the Floating Island while Sonic and Sally provided a diversion.

Benedict was chosen by Dimitri to become High Councilor of Echidnaopolis through an election rigged by the Dark Legion. The masses were clueless as to the fact that Pravda, the current High Councilor running for re-election, was turned into a vegetable to help enable the turn of events. Benedict was an excellent speaker able to gain support of many. However, when Benedict was trying to force Remington to swear loyalty to him, Remington refused, which surprised Benedict. When Benedict returned to base, the unconscious Knuckles emitted electromagnetic pulses causing all machinery to malfunction and shutdown, including Benedict and any Dark Legionnaire that didn’t manage to get out of the base in time.

Sporting tinted shades, a leather jacket, and black shoes, Evil Sonic may look like a hokey villian – but he’s EVERYTHING Sonic is: only meaner. Basically a punk, Evil Sonic is the type that commands trouble at every second, and if no trouble is there – then he goes out to cause trouble just for the heck of it! Sonic usually manages to outsmart him if the two aren’t beating each others brains out in a speed filled fist fight – but every time that Evil Sonic has come back: its always with a new twist! Leader of the Anti-Freedom Fighters, Evil Sonic terrorizes his universe’s Mobotropolis constantly, while that areas Doctor Robotnik, a kind country doctor, can only sit and do nothing. The Anti Freedom Fighters are his personal “goon squad” and together they have even travelled to Sonic’s own universe to wreak some havoc. At one point he went as far as to ally himself with the real Doctor Robotnik, which only resulted in him making a permanent enemy out of his rival – The Anti-Knuckles!

But his biggest evil was none other than allying himself with The Robo Robotnik – the Robotnik from a parallel universe that would eventually come to be known as Robotnik Mk II. Stealing an artifact called “The Giant’s Hand” from an area in the Cosmic Interstate known as the Nuetral Zone, Evil Sonic was partially responsible for Robo Robotnik’s invasion of the various Sonic universes and his ultimate decapitation!

Because of Sonic Prime, SU Sonic, Sonia, & Manic he was captured and held in a prison cell under the watch of Zonic. He’s a bit slippery, throught, and he escaped twice. The first time, he went to Mobius Prime, where he was recaptrued thanks to the efforts of Antoine Prime. The second time, however, he went to his own zone, where he got into a conflict with Anti-Antoine. Anti-Antoine was switched with Antoine Prime, and then Evil Sonic saw how good this was so he switched himself with Sonic Prime and caused trouble briefly.

Originally, the Floating Island was held up by 12 chaos emeralds. 11 of them were “lost” when Enerjak rose to power and only 1 held up the Floating Island. In Super Sonic vs. Hyper Knuckles special, Knuckles managed to get another chaos emerald from the zone he & Sonic fought in–so 2 chaos emeralds held up the Floating Island. Then, Mammoth Mogul robbed Enerjak of his 11 chaos emeralds and added them to his 1 (Mammoth Mogul has lived so long because he’s had a chaos emerald embedded into his chest) giving him 12 chaos emeralds. In Sonic #56, Master Mogul (as he called himself) went for the 2 chaos emeralds that held up the Floating Island to add to his power. However, Locke & Sabre caused a chaotic explosion and as a result the Master Emerald (as it was called) was created with the power of 14 chaos emeralds and Mammoth Mogul’s life essense trapped inside. Mammoth Mogul was freed from inside the Master Emerald when Robotnik broke the M.E. into pieces in Sonic #79. Knuckles got back most of the pieces–but not all. Currently, the Master Emerald holds up the Floating Island.

The Roboticizer was originally developed by Sir Charles Hedgehog for medical purposes. It could transform a limb or even an entire body from a thing of flesh into a thing of metal and circuits. When Jules was injured, Sir Charles used the Roboticizer to make him a robot. It worked, but Jules became a zombie who could not talk or think. Charles blamed himself, not knowing that it was Julian (also known as Robotnik) who caused this. Shortly after, Robotnik began using Roboticized Mobians as his slaves. A Roboticized Mobian, or “Robian” normally has no free will of his or her own and is foced to work as a drone for Robotnik. Robians in close proximity to the Ultimate Annihilator were given their free will back, but this was later taken away from all but Jules and his wife, Bernie. A Power Ring can often restore free will, as can the Sword of Acorns. A Robian can only be “deroboticized” with a deroboticizer or the machine that roboticized him or her, and only then if all of his or her parts are the original parts from the roboticization process. In other words, making modifications to ones own robian body will eliminate the possibility of deroboticization. If an Overlander is Roboticized unwillingly, he or she becomes a statue.

All Robians were “derobotized” by Ceneca-9009, except Jules, for medical reasons. It is apparently impossible to to Roboticize mobians.

The daughter of Knuckles and Julie-Su, she was raised by Julie-Su and was led to believe that Remington killed Knuckles. However, in Lara-Su’s attempt to change the past in her reality, she ended up in this Mobius’ reality which was different from the one she knew. While she witnessed what she thought was Knuckles’ “death” (she never did find out that Knux was faking it), she did manage to prevent Julie-Su from being killed by a sniper. When she returned to her proper world and time, she was finally told the truth about her father. Knuckles went crazy after asorbing a lot of chaos energy and is currently leading the Dark Legion attempting world conquest in her world.

Known as the absolute hero through the entire cartoon, Sonic is one laid-back hedgehog that always finds himself getting into trouble where ever he goes. Always willing to do the job, Sonic comes up with what seems endless plans and tricks to play and the unsuspecting Grounder and Scratch, most of which involve dressing up, even as a girl on more than one occasion. Alone and with his only true friend Tails, Sonic is constantly racing around Mobius stopping Robotnik from harming the innocent and taking over Mobius. Sonic is constantly having fun while making Robotnik and his robots look like complete idiots in the eyes of the citizens of Mobius, which only make Sonic more of a hero.

Sitting in his fortress or watching things from his precious Egg-O-Matic Robotnik has a deep hatred for Sonic. More willing to let his robots do the dirty work, unless he decides he needs to, Robotnik always has a plan, which he feels is full proof, and will capture “the hedgehog”. Knowing how to get a hold of Sonic, many of Robotniks plans either involves capturing Tails or attacking a town. Rarely will he actually come up with a plan that does capture Sonic, only to have it ruined by his robots, which he is constantly blaming for everything. Lying and cheating are Robotnik’s strongest qualities and he doesn’t think twice about double crossing people he makes allies with. A robotic chicken, Scratch is the self-proclaimed leader of the “dynamic” duo of Scratch and Grounder. Pushing Grounder around whenever he can, Scratch is quick to jump to the conclusion that he “caught the hedgehog” which ends up getting him into an argument with Grounder. Constantly falling for the seemingly never ending disguises and tricks of Sonic and Tails, Scratch is constantly finding himself being demoted to horrible jobs at Robotnik’s lair or being threatened to be turned into “tin cans”. Not having enough intelligence to use Dr. Robotnik’s invention properly, Scratch is constantly finding himself blown to pieces when Sonic destroys the invention.

A robot on treads, Grounder is the second member of the SSSSSS (Super Special Sonic Search & Smash Squad) who with Scratch is constantly trying to capture Sonic. Having even less intelligence than Scratch, Grounder is easily bossed around and had to be a decoy in some occasion. Having a gadget for almost any situation in him, Grounder doesn’t have the slightest idea how to use them in order to capture Sonic. Grounder is also finding himself blown into pieces when Sonic takes care of Robotnik’s current plan.

The original robot created by Dr. Robotnik, Coconuts is a robotic monkey constantly being put on caretaker duty when Grounder and Scratch were made. He is always over-reacting when Sonic, Scratch, or Grounder makes fun of him, which usually ends up in him failing in his plan. When Coconuts does get his chance to go on mission to capture Sonic, he usually has the worst luck and the most interesting plans. Even though he is the smartest of the three robots, he doesn’t get his chance to ever shine because of the SSSSSS.

The all around super salesmen, Wes always has a gadget for capturing Sonic and where there is a profit to be made, Wes has a scam for it. Afraid that his clients might ask for a refund, Weasley constantly switches sides for his own protection. He has a nearly endless supply of gadgets for catching hedgehogs that would work if Robotnik and his lackeys could use them right. Living the rich life, Weasley will jump at any chance to make another dishonest dollar, even though he does go to the side of good on occasions.

The most evil person on the planet, Mama Robotnik is the spitting image of Robotnik, minus the mustache. So evil they keep her locked up in the asylum, but when she does escape, Robotnik does his best to keep away from her; she is the only person he fears. Angered by her son’s inability to act extremely evil, take over Mobius, and capture Sonic, Mama Robotnik takes complete control of Robotnik’s operations. Her plans are extremely sophisticated and which could probably if it hasn’t for Robotnik’s robot. She is usually recaptured at the end of the failure, much to Robotnik’s delight, only to promise she’ll escape again.

The crazy professor, VonSchilmmer is the first inventor Sonic turns to for help with Robotnik. VonSchilmmer has a wide variety of weapons, if only he could remember where he put them or fully understand what he’s doing. Sonic continually puts up with him because VonSchilmmer is able to invent some of the craziest inventions ever seen and many of them actually work and help Sonic. Although he is sometimes finding himself captured by Robotnik, VonSchilmmer is able hold his own. Accompanying Sonic and Tails on their adventures sometimes, VonSchilmmer has something for almost any situation.

Another professor Sonic makes an alliance with, Caninestein has a very logical sense of thinking and invents some of the most powerful inventions on Mobius, which includes time shoes and a time board. Caninestein has also invented a powerful drag car and has accompanied Sonic on some missions. Smart enough not to be caught by Robotnik or be tricked, Caninestein helps Sonic with any plan he has lying around. Highly respected by Sonic, Caninestein will have something for Sonic whenever he comes to ask for help.

A robotic hedgehog created by Robotnik to fall in love with Sonic and capture him, Breezie really does fall in love with Sonic, but ends up being one of his best friends. Though she doesn’t have any weapons on her, Breezie does have a lot of intelligence for a robot and puts it too good use. When Robotnik recaptured her in an effort to try and reprogram her, she met up with Robotnik Jr., who she falls in love with.

A son created by Dr. Robotnik in an effort to carry on his evil when he passed on, Robotnik Jr. soon became an enemy of Scratch and Grounder. Through Sonic’s efforts of trying to make him chose for himself, Robotnik Jr. continually denies that Scratch and Grounder are after. It’s only after a freak accident that he does decide to change sides, and saves Sonic’s life. Much to Robotnik’s displeasing, Robotnik Jr. ditches him and decides to fight evil. In fact they first mistake Scratch and Grounder as Sonic and Tails, until the real Sonic and Tails prove they are the real things. Loyal to Sonic and Tails, ‘Da Bear Warriors are always willing to use their muscle, and their customize dune buggies, to help Sonic stop Robotnik from taking over Mobius.

Sitting on the top of a mountain, and sporting an oversized statue of Robotnik, Dr. Robotnik’s lair is his central base for his plots to take over Mobius and destroy Sonic himself. Damaged and destroyed on many occasions, the base has little defenses except for that of Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts. Although it holds a massive prison block, the base is more of a home to Robotnik than an actual military base. When not having the SSSSS and Coconuts on a mission, they are usually the ones cleaning the base.
