A.D.A.M., or Autonomous Digital Assault Microbe, is the name of a computer virus created accidentally by Robotnik MkII. For months after his creation, A.D.A.M. had control over Robotnik’s computer, and therefore retained some degree of control over every robot he owned. He could also spread to other computer systems that connect to Robotnik’s databases and control them as well, though this control could be compromised if A.D.A.M. is distracted. For some time, he acted as a lackey to Robotnik, his “Father.”

Sometime around Sonic’s return from space, A.D.A.M. covertly began operating under the codename of “Anonymous,” becoming an enemy to Sonic and Robotnik alike. A.D.A.M. caused the spread of Robotnik’s nanites into Jules, Bunnie Rabbot, Nicole, and Tommy Turtle’s shell. Although Robotnik discovered his treachery and attempted to delete A.D.A.M., A.D.A.M. managed to download himself into Tommy Turtle and rake over his body.

Once he had done this, A.D.A.M. out into motion his final plan to harness all the Chaos Emeralds in the known universe. He was thwarted in this by Super Sonic, Super Shadow, Turbo Tails, Robotnik and Tommy himself. A.D.A.M. and Tommy were both destroyed.

The Abandoned Space Station, it was shut down once Robotnik starting taking money, it is fully complete though no one lives on it anymore. It drifts pretty far off from Mobius and no one is willing to get it going again.vvv

Albion is a large island off the shores of the Kingdom of Mercia. It’s the place where echidnas “sprang forth” and has become legendary to many of the current generations of echidnas. The only inhabitants of Albion are echidnas who’s ancestors weren’t adventurous like the ones that decided to find other places on Mobius to live. The technology in Albion is only rivaled by the Dark Legion and the Brotherhood in Haven and the Grand Conservatroy. Similiar to the echidnas on Angel Island, the echidnas here like their privacy and normally have a shield up that keeps their island home hidden from others. Rob O’ the Hedge stands as the main sentry of Albion, though he has only been there once.

The Metallix always had an affinity with the miracle planet, so when the Brotherhood of Metallix went independent they decided to redo what Robotnik had tried to do before; transform the Miracle Planet into an enormous powerhouse. To do that though they needed Grimer’s genius to make the Alpha Device. They kidnapped him and forced him to build it, alerting Robotnik to the fact they had gone rogue. The Alpha Device was very small but unbelievably powerful, capable of warping the planet’s soil into metal. Soon metallic tendrils were spreading across the Miracle Planet, transforming it into a giant Metallic head with thousands of Metallic factories. The Alpha device grew to the size of a skyscraper until Amy hooked the Kintobar computer into it and deactivated it, restoring the Miracle Planet to normality.

Amadeus was the Second in Command of the Royal Guard during King Max’ rule and was thrilled about the prospect of becoming a father. However, King Max had announced the disbanding of the military and Amadeus was put in charge of overseeing the dismantling first hand. Since his wife Rosemary was due to have their child at any time, as he left to do his duty, he asked Sonic to keep an eye on his house since Sonic, Sally, Rotor, and Antoine were playing nearby.

When Amadeus arrived, he found that Warlord Julian (Who was eventually to become Robotnik) had entered the lab without waiting for him like Julian was supposed to do. Amadeus ended up witnessing someone being roboticized and hearing Julian talk about world domination. Amadeus tried to stop Julian by himself, but was captured and roboticized. As it turned out, Tails was born on this very day. Since it wouldn’t look right for Amadeus to not see his son, Julian came up with an excuse of Amadeus being around hazardous materials to cover up Amadeus so that no one realized that Amadeus was a robot when he went to see Tails, who the roboticized Amadeus rejected causing Rosemary to cry herself to sleep.

Shortly after this, Amadeus and Rosemary were both abducted by the alien Bem, and Amadeus was restored to flesh. Although they missed Tails, they lived a relatively comfortable life on Argentium, eventually encountering Sonic when he traveled there. Not long later, though, war broke out between the Xorda and the Black Arms, and the devastation brought Argentium to its knees. Amadeus and Rosemary were saved in the nick of time by Sonic and friends, and Amadeus resumed his position in service to the Court of Acorn, full of new ideas from his long stay on Argentium.

Amber is a member of the Kaam’Daarn race. She came to visit Mobius for a short time. Amber gave Shortfuse a program which opened his armor up and freed him for a short time untill he sacrificed the program to defeat Vermin. Amber visited Mobius for a while and tried to give the planet a bit of her own peacefull spirit, but she didn’t stay long.

Amy Rose – the young hedgehog with a hopeless crush on Sonic! Sonic could do without her, but once she’s got a hug in edgewise, there’s no shaking her off!

One of Sonic’s biggest fans, Amy tagged along with him to Never Lake when Eggman tried to take control of the Little Planet in Sonic CD. She was kidnapped by Metal Sonic to be the prize in its famous race with Sonic.

After Sonic rescued her, Amy met him a few times in competitions, but mostly shopped around Station Square, where she has an apartment. She didn’t do much adventuring, until one day a bird flew into her groceries while she was daydreaming about her adventures with Sonic on the Little Planet. The bird was flying away from Zero, one of Eggman’s new E-100 series robots. She helped the bird to hide, and protected it from Zero until meeting Sonic. After getting kidnapped once again, she was rescued on the Egg Carrier not by Sonic, but by a mysterious and unlikely ally. As she continued fighting Zero, she eventually became more independent and decided to win Sonic’s respect rather than chasing after him all the time.

Little Amy is more than just an annoyance. She’s mastered the Lovely Kiss Attack, a charm move that confuses its receiver into a mindless daze. She has few redeeming hand-to-hand combat qualities, but her Magical Hammer can easily pound a few braincells out of any opponents with just a light swing. It’s this colorful, oversized mallet that she used to hold her own in the Sonic Championship fighting tournament. Her “Pico Pico Hammer Attack” also keeps her path clear in Sonic Adventure. Amy also has two small cars that she uses for travel. The Breeze is a small blue car that almost seems to have a mind and face of its own. She’s also got a red convertible, which she used in the World Grand Prix. It’s lifeless and a little on the slow side, but it comes equipped with an automatic hover engine and a Turbo Boost!

Amy is the bubbliest member of the Freedom Fighters, and she has a huge crsuh on Sonic. Amy Rose’s origins lie in the country of Mercia, a province of the Acorn Kingdom across the sea. There she lived for a while with her cousin, Rob O’ The Hedge, leader of the Mercian branch of Freedom Fighters. When Robotnik took over, he put the Robian General D’Coolette in charge of Mercia. As things went from bad to worse, Rob sent Amy away to live in Knothole where she would hopefully be much safer.

Since then, Amy adapted to life and came to fall head over heels for the local hero, Sonic. She assumed the position of his #1 fan and is ALWAYS on his heels! She has kept her distance out of respect for Sally, but with the current situation of the Sonic/Sally relationship, anythign’s possible.

Amy has proven her worth in battle several times and is now officially a full time member of the Freedom Fighters. She has become quite a powerful ally with her Piko-Piko hammer and Tarot card abilities.

Amy Rose entered the comic as Robotnik’s prisoner and nearly left the next issue to become a premature version of the Cybernik, however a reluctant Sonic rescued her with only seconds to spare. She was locked up for claiming to be Sonic’s girlfriend and when she joined the Freedom Fighters she and Sonic were forced to make an agreement.

Self sacrificing and one of the few members of the gang with a cool head Amy became extremely close to Sonic when they were stuck together on the Miracle Planet for a month, even though he spent most of the time hiding from her. When they got back down to Mobius she gradually began to grow and become more independent. She practiced with the crossbow and soon became proficient enough to fend for herself. She became a tutor and mentor to tails, good friend of Tekno the Canary and although perhaps an equal to Sonic, although she liked him too much to ever take any of his glory. When Sonic was stranded in the special zone she became the leader of the freedom fighters but even her cool demeanour was shaken by Shortfuse. After the fall of Robotnik she slowly developed more of a tomboy attitude and changed from the small girl she had originally been to a mature teenager, befriending Tekno. The pair of them travelled the universe with the Eternity Ring, fighting for justice.

“Through time and space and alternate dimension, properties exist beyond comprehension. Artifacts of ancient and unfathomable power exist to aid and make men cower. Cognizant by beings of science and mystical shaman, a soverign royal and an emerald have nothing in common.”

The Ancient Walkers were three mystical deities that watched over Mobius and protected it. Although they often appeared together in the form of disembodied tiki heads, they have been seen in the form of dinosaur-like bodies. The Ancient Walkers had a penchant for speaking in riddles and tongues, never revealing their secrets and always a mystery. The only beings known to communicate with them directly on a regular basis were the echidnas Athair and Aurora, as well as the wizard Merlin Prower.

However, Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails have had some limited contact with the Ancient Walkers, at various points in their adventures. It was due to the Ancient Walkers’ intervention that Mammoth Mogul has been defeated multiple times, but Mogul eventually took revenge and disrupted the Chaos Force so greatly that the Ancient Walkers were destroyed. Before their death, however, they appointed Merlin, Aurora, and Athair as their successors.

Angel Island is truely a place of living legend in the Sonic universe. Angel Island, like many magical islands in myth, floats in the sky, as a result of the energy released by the mighty stone known as the Master Emerald. It is said that long ago, Angel Island was once part of a main continent, and inhabited by a powerful race of ancient people who used the Master Emerald to help build their great civilization. But of course, a power such as this is bound to get to get to someone’s head, and it did. A group of elders attempted to steal the “Mighty Stone”‘s energy, but ultimately wound up getting their entire race killed when the stone (or perhaps, something guarding it) exploded.

Then, according to legend, a god of the skies came from the heavens, brought back to life part of this civilization, and placed the Master Emerald, along with the land around it, into the sky, forming what we now know as Angel Island. And by no means was this a small amount of land. With over 12 zones, Angel Island is HUGE. It houses all of the traditional animals (minus Picky), as well as a wide variety of interesting areas to explore, none of which are known better than Knuckles the Echidna, the last known remnant of the ancient race, and self-proclaimed guardian of the island, and the Master Emerald.

Though the Master Emerald keeps the island afloat, it has been forced into the ocean before when it served as the crash site for Eggman’s Death Egg. The Master Emerald also cannot seem to keep the island up when it is in contact with the 7 Chaos Emeralds…

This land mass has been circling Mobius for 600 years thanks to Kayla-La & Jordann discovering a comet about to hit Echidnaopolis in Downunda at the time. The weather can vary drastically depending on where you are on the island and hundreds of different species reside on it. Originally 12 chaos emeralds kept the island afloat, but during the only main challenge to restore the Floating Island to the Mobian mainland, 11 emeralds were lost to the rise of Enerjak. The Floating Island became a bit of a legend in its own right as being high in the skies prevented most from visiting and as a result, until recently most problems on the Floating Island were internal between the echidnas and dingoes or between the Guardian/Brotherhood and Dark Legion.

During one of his trips to the mainland, Knuckles acquired another chaos emerald, bringing the total to two chaos emeralds on the island. The Master Emerald (aka ME) was created as a result of an epic battle against Master Mogul, which resulted in his 12 chaos emeralds being combined with the 2 emeralds already present. More recently, Robotnik shattered the ME (freeing the trapped Mammoth Mogul) and caused the island to fall, but Knuckles recovered most of the pieces to restore the ME and the Floating Island to the skies.

The Island was originally known simply as the Floating Island but it was rechristened “Angel Island” after Angel-La. The Island fell under Robotnik’s control and the dingo overlords opressed the Echidnas, who became a shadow of their once-proud society. With help from Knuckles and the other heroes, they have overcome the Dingoes and are now on the mend.

Anti-Antoine is a memeber of the Anti-Freedom Fighters, hailing form Anti-Mobius. As you may guess, he is that zone’s version of Antoine D’Coolette. He can be distinguished from Antoine by his eyepatch and a scar over his left eye. Although eyepatch is actually unnecesary, he is commonly known as Patch.

He played no major role in the group for some time except as an annoyance to Evil Sonic. However, because of Evil Sonic’s personal vendetta against him, Anti-Antoine and Antoine Prime were switched. For months, nearly everyone believed that Antoine Prime had lost interest in Bunnie and become a cold-hearted soldier, while the truth was that he has been replaced by Anti-Antoine, who had decided to masquerade as the real Antoine in an attempt to sieze power on Mobius Prime. None of the inhabitants of Mobius Prime knew about this until Anti-Antoine violently attempted to take the throne, causing Sonic to realize the truth and execute a reversal of the switch, restoring Anti-Antoine to Anti-Mobius.

In the parallel universe called the Anti-Mobius, the Anti-Freedom Fighters exist causing havoc and destruction. Only the kind Dr Kintobor is able to stop them just a little from totally wreaking everything after the rundown state they’ve brought to Mobotropolis. Evil Sonic is the leader and they did once travel as a group to Sonic’s own universe to wreak some havoc. The group was frustrated by Dr Kintobor stopping them so many times, that they walked out on Evil Sonic and are now led by Evil St. John.

On the Anti-Mobius, the Guardian of the Sunken Island and its chaos emeralds is Anti-Knuckles. He was tricked by Evil Sonic into thinking that Knuckles had stolen the chaos emeralds that keep the Sunken Island’s air containment field operational. Speaking with an Irish accent, Anti-Knuckles generally prefers to be peaceful instead of fighting. In the end, Knuckles and Anti-Knuckles worked together to stop Dr. Robotnik’s scheme using the chaos emerald that held up the Floating Island while Sonic and Sally provided a diversion.

Antoine has a French accent, but is mostly known for his love of Sally as well as being easily frightened. He is jealous of the attention that Sonic receives from Sally and continues to strive to get that attention one day. While the least helpful member of the main group, because he’s underestimated so much he’s gotten to shine a couple of times during missions. Antoine believes in having everything done just right (especially preparation of meals) as well as having things clean and neat, most likely as a result of being trained to be a squire. He also takes a lot of pride in his hair.

Antoine used to be a coward during the reign of Robotnik Prime. It was very easy to make fun of him with both his French accent (Zee way ee spoke lieek thees) and his supreme cowardness–and Sonic took advantage of that many times. However, he had grown up from that and displayed more courage after he assisted in Robotnik Prime’s defeat. He was still a coward in some areas, but ever since Bunnie revealed that she liked him, Antoine had more confidence in himself and the two were, for a time, an inseparable couple. He became a better friend with Sonic, and the teasing was seriously reduced, especially after Antoine rescued his Robian father, General D’Coolette.

Because of Evil Sonic’s personal vendetta against Anti-Antoine, Anti-Antoine and Antoine Prime were switched. For months, nearly everyone believed that Antoine Prime had lost interest in Bunnie and become a cold-hearted soldier, while the truth was that he has been replaced. None of the inhabitants of Mobius Prime knew about this until Anti-Antoine violently attempted to take the throne, causing Sonic to realize the truth and execute a reversal of the switch, restoring Antoine Prime to Mobius Prime and reuniting him with Bunnie Rabbot.

It was after the first meeting with the Chaotix that Knuckles that met Archimedes. In a “test” of sorts, Archy “kidnapped” the Chaotix and held them “prisoner” in The lost Grand Conservatory where he awaited Knuckles to find him via various clues scattered across The Floating Island. It took Knuckles awhile but when he found him and the Chaotix they all had no idea of what was to happen next.

After the first defeat of Enerjak, Archy has been like a mentor to Knuckles, but he has kept several secrets. Fire ants live to VERY ripe old ages and Archy is no exception. He trained several previous guardians including Knuckles’s own father, Locke. Archimedes knew of Locke as well as the Guardian homebaseat Haven, even though Knux thought them all to be dead. Archy is also a valued member of The Council Of Ants. The Council – which resides in the Lava Reef Zone serve as advisors to the echidna guardians in their time of need.

After Robotnik took over Angel Island, Archimedes was charged by Locke with doing all he could to protect the Master Emerald. This he did. Also, Archimedes hypothesised correctly that Knuckles would regain his chas powers if exposed to the Master Emerald.

The Arctic Freedom Fighters were a group of “Freedom Fighters” from who were from the North Pole of Mobius. Robotnik took over as they were visiting some friends, so they were forced to move underground near Robotropolis, creating an underground polar grotto to live in, since they are unable to survive easily in warm weather. In Sonic #26, they save the Freedom Fighters and help to destroy Robotnik’s weather machine. Two of them, Sealia and Augustus reappear later on, to help Rotor save his family from Robotnik’s mind control.

Erma – I have no clue what animal she is. I think she is a lynx or some other type of northern woodland animal. She has absolutely no real art, all she does is saw off a chunk of ice that Sonic is trapped by. A completely useless character.
Sealia – A seal. She doesn’t have any importance until Sonic #32, when she saves Rotor from drowning. We find that she has a French accent, and it is from her that we learn that the Arctic FF had scattered after their battle with Robotnik. She seems to be the only one that can really communicate to Augustus when he is mad.
Augustus – The brawn of the Arctic FF, and the only other Arctic FF to make a cameo in Rotor’s story. He is a polar bear who can lift heavy things easily, and he can even split glaciers in half. He almost kills Rotor in Sonic #32 because he thinks that Rotor is threatening Sealia.
Guntiver – a wolf with a green vest who is essentially the “leader” of the Arctic Freedom Fighters, if there is such a thing. He’s the one who explains to the Freedom Fighters who they are.
Flip – a penguin with a pink hat. He saves the Freedom Fighters from freezing to death, and he has the ability to skate on ice on his feet.

Argentium is one of the worlds that Sonic visited while he was travelling through space. He visited the planet with the hopes of finding a way to return to Mobius. He found this, but he also found much more: Tails’s parents, for instance, not to mention the reason that the Robians had been derobotized. It was here that Sonic helped Ceneca-9009 escape from capital punishment for her derobotization of all Robians.

Ari was the leader of a band of Freedom Fighters. Unfortunately, the entire group was captured by Robotnik and Robotnik promised Ari their freedom if Ari helped lure Sonic into a trap. Ari kept his part of the deal, however, Robotnik roboticized Ari’s friends while Ari was doing his part. Dulcy and Sally rescued Ari and then Ari saved Sonic to make amends. Ari ended up getting sucked into the Void (the trap Robotnik created for Sonic), but before he did, he told Sonic about the King’s list and that other Freedom Fighters around Mobius were looking for Sally. When Naugus found a way to open the Void, Ari returned in time to help join the fight against Robotnik’s Doomsday Project.

The worlds first Benoulli spherical space-colony Ark was built many years ago, housing some of the worlds finest minds who travelled into space to the most advanced research centre of its kind. One of these was Professor Gerald and his granddaughter, Maria. He made contact with the Black Comet and with Black Dooms help created the Ultimate Life Form; Shadow. However, not trusting Black Doom he also began construction of a powerful weapon; the Eclipse Cannon.

Unfortunately due to the Professors work G.U.N. stormed the space colony, killing whoever they couldn’t capture. Maria was among the lists of the dead, a fact that drove Professor Gerald mad, programming the Space Colony to crash into earth. He left the Biolizard, the prototype ultimate life form to make sure this happened and programmed Shadow to take the Chaos Emeralds there.

Shadow realised that his mind had been tampered with and with Sonic stopped it from crashing into the planet. The ARK was saved and when the Black Arms invaded Shadow returned to it to take control of the Eclipse Cannon. With it he opened fire on the Black Comet and destroyed them forever.

600 years ago, Kayla-La and Jor-dann discovered a white comet on a collision course with Echidnaopolis, the Downunda city filled with echidnas. While Kayla-La thought of a plan to raise the city into the skies, Arrakis pleaded for the echidnas to stay on the Mobius mainland where they belong and just to look for a new place to settle. While the Echidna Council chose to follow Kayla-La’s plan, Arrakis convinced the Council to allow every citizen to make their own choice of whether to go to into the clouds or to re-settle elsewhere on Mobius. Arrakis lead those who decided to find a new home elsewhere. Things were tough going for the echidnas he led, but the Ancient Walkers came to him one night and told him to find Albion–the place where echidnas sprang forth. Arrakis was the first mitre of the Lost Tribe of Echidnas, who were mostly forgotten in history until Athair was chosen to be Mitre.

In his search for money Robotnik discovered some ancient artefacts he believed to be from Mobopinchu, an ancient lost city. Putting them on sale he was distraught when Sonic, Sonia and Manic turned up at his auction and stole the goods. Sonic and Sonia took their item to be examined by the professors in the Mobian University, but Manic who had hidden his sold it to raise cash for the Underground. When Sonia and Manic told him the artefacts were actually worthless warheads from the last Mobian War Manic races after the man he had sold it to but was too late, he had already sold it to Bartleby. Before they could retrieve it from Bartleby, Sleet and Dingo kidnapped the art collector and took him to the excavation site to confront Robotnik. When the warhead exploded it destroyed most of Robotnik’s machines and activated several other warheads buried in the surrounding area, devastating the area completely.

When Madge took in the amnesiac Super Sonic the young hedgehog he became haunted by images of a yellow demon trying to kill everyone on Mobius. Madge tried to comfort him much to the disapproval of her husband Arthur. Despite the fact Arthur was never seen without a newspaper neither of them made the connection between the demon Super Sonic on the headline and the young boy upstairs. Madge and Arthur had a row in which she accused him of preferring things back when Robotnik was still in charge, however Super interrupted by deciding to leave. Arthur was pleased to let him go and he urged Madge to agree. In a last act of defiance Madge gave Super Sonic Arthur’s beer Money to him to help him on his way…

During Sonic’s absence in space, Mina began dating her manager, Ash. Ash is a very caring Mongoose who loves Mina a lot, but he doesn’t really see eye to eye with Sonic. The two are quite competitive and tend to get on each others’ nerves quite a bit.

When Mina’s life was threatened by Nack’s assasination attempt and Sonic was put in charge of her security, Ash was especially unhappy. He accused Mina of still loving Sonic and subconciously writing her songs about him. The broke up briefly, but when Mina was attacked again by Heavy and Bomb, it was Ash who saved her life and the two were brought back together, resolving the love triangle once and for all.

Robotnik may use the regular Mobians – roboticised and stripped of thier free will as his worker drones, but whether patrolling the dark empty streets of Robotropolis or covertly operating the attacks in Geographic regions such as The Great Forest and the country of Downunda – you’ll be certain sooner or later to run into ‘The Bot Squad’ ! Robotnik’s personal created assault bots that perform various duties around Mobius.

Swatbots – Usually found in the employ of Doctor Robotnik, swatbots are most likely found patrolling the streets of Robotropolis. Programmed with the “Priority One” code, when Sonic the Hedgehog is sensed in the area they will go on a red alert and attack at all costs. The weakest of the 4 bots, Swatbots are easily taken out by Sonic most of the time, but they still maintain and serve a good purpose to the Doctor when necessary.
Combots – The Swatbot upgrade resulted in a new form of bot alogether – the Combot! The ultimate “army” bot, combots are used most likely in reconnaissance missions by Robotnik, but are under the constant employ of Crocbot – Robotnik’s Downunda subboss! Empowered with the ability to “camouflage” themselves ala Espio the Chameleon, they literally can render themselves “invisible” and blend in with the background. Located in their hands they contain an energy lash which they can use to electrocute their victims, and also possess a large amount of guns and such in their arsenal. They feel most swatbots are “inferior” to them and are usually not afraid to say this… strange for one of the few “mindless” bots in Robotnik’s employ.
Eggbots – Hatching from large cybernetic eggs and flying overhead in the skies are the Eggbots! Shaped round like the Eggman, these bots whimsical appearance often distracts from the fact that they are often the most vicious and hardest to get rid of! Attacking in multiple groups and equipped with high fire laser blasters, Eggbots are usually under the employ of Snively – Robotnik’s assistant – though Robotnik has been known to use them himself at times…
The Dynamac 3000 – The ULTIMATE Robotnik assault bot, the Dynamac can adapt to ANY given situation and manipulate himself to take control and turn him into THE MOST formidable opponent in the Bot Squad! In fact, Dynamacs are so powerful that the only way to really defeat them are by shorting them out with a massive surge of electricity! Not an easy thing to do for a bot that can anticipate your moves…

Athair was a guardian, but he is the only one who willingly gave up the role. Out of the entire Sonic and Knuckles comics cast, Athair is the most mysterious character of them all – his past is so intertwined with Mobius’ history, guardianship, Mitreship, and the Ancient Walkers that only he knows his whole story – period. Athair first met Tails on his trip to Downunda, infiltrating Robotnik’s base there led by Crocbot. After being attacked by the Wing Dingo Squadron and left for dead, The Downunda Freedom Fighters took Tails to “the old man of the crater”. Tails woke up to find none other than a wrinkled old man, bent over with a cane… deeming Tails “The Chosen One”, Athair told him that now was only the beginning of events that were to play forth in the future.

Athair told tales of Mobius’ ancient past, the coming of the great Chaos Emerald meteor, and also revealed the secret that the “Great Downunda crater” was once the place where The Floating Isle sat before it rose into the sky… how did Athair know all of this? The Ancient Walkers – three mystical diety like beings that come in the form of giant tribal masks. When Tails awoke from his dazed slumber in the crater, he found every trace of Athair gone.

Much later, Athair was invlolved when Mammoth Mogul revealed his plan. After near-destroying Enerjak, Mogul, seeking to absorb the Chaos Emeralds of the Floating Island into himself – turned hyper and became Master Mogul: powered with the enegies of 12 Chaos Emeralds, it took Super Sonic, Hyper Knuckles, Turbo Tails, The Chaotix, The Freedom Fighters, the Echidna Security Team, and The dingoes – and NONE of the them could bring him down. That is, until Athair appeared. With the Ancient Walkers, Athair rescued Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails from dimensional limbo and dropped off the Chaos Syphon – the device used to create Enerjak. It was only with the syphon that the trio got the upper hand to defeat Mogul – but NOT before Athair vanished again…

So what is his relation to Knuckles and the guardians? It wasn’t until weeks after the Mogul incident that Knuckles found out. Years ago, Athair himself was a guardian. Father to Sabre, Athair heeded what he called “a beckoning” from the Ancient Walkers. Following his call, he discovered The Forgotten Tribe – a group of Echidnas that decided to not go along with the decision to raise the Island. Simiar to Guardians, The tribe was led by “Mitres” instead. The most recent one had died and Athair had just seemed to enter the picture. Out of sheer heart, Athair renounced the ways of the Guardian to help the poorer shambles that were the Forgotten Tribe find their “Lost City Of Albion”, homeland to the echidna race that had vanished centuries ago. Athair took Knuckles to see the Tribe, and on the last night of his mitreship, he vanished mysteriously again. Knuckles – with the help of Rob O’ the Hedge, an echidna named Yanar, and Rob’s betrothed Mari-An, located the city after more than 600 years of the Tribe looking. Knuckles still wonders to this day what happened to Athair, but had he looked in the sky, he would have seen clouds in the shape of Athair and The Ancient walkers that smiled down upon him…

Aurora is a mysterious entity, considered the supreme diety of Mobius. She is omnipotent and omniscent, and is the guardian of the Chaos Force, the matter that controls the universe. She is more powerful even than the Ancient Walkers, since she controls them. She is capable of anything. It was Aurora who met Knuckles when he reached the Chaos Force, informing him that he must become one with the Chaos Force in order to fulfill his true destiny.

No one knows what Aurora has in store for people, save for Athair and the Ancient Walkers. She is seen sending heralds to announce a spirit’s ascension to her plane of existance and also creating mortal visions for the sake of her plans. However, it seems that Aurora has a more hands-off approach to Mobius than desired when it doesn’t directly involve her meddling, as she seemed to be indifferent about the Xorda invasion.

Baby T is the terapod that Tails found close to Knothole one day. He played dirt hockey with Tails and the two became good friends.

There isn’t much more to Bark than what you see. His speed is as slow as his legs make him appear, and his throws are as hard, painful and awe-inspiring as his long arms and upperbody would make you think.

He has only appeared once, in which time he was in possession of the yellow Chaos Emerald.

Bartleby is probably the most important character in Sonic Underground who isn’t part of the main cast, unlike Sonic, Manic and Sonia he refuses to travel around fighting Robotnik but he isn’t part of Robotnik’s evil schemes either. He stands directly in the middle, a close friend of Sonia who would probably quite like to marry her purely for the status in society but until Sonia comes to the throne he hedges his bets and refuses to oppose Robotnik in public. Bartleby has a mutual hatred with Sonic and Manic, and his relationship with Sonia is testing at times, especially as in her absence he continues to flirt with every other eligible woman in Robotropolis. Although he has a decent heart and secretly hates Robotnik, Bartleby does little to help the resistance unless he can get something in return or Sonia forces his hands. If the Queen ever returned Bartleby promises that he would be the first to join her retinue, but until she does he remains squarely neutral with equal contempt for both sides but kept in place by the wealth and money he so dearly loves.

It is said that anyone with a fixation on explosives is leaning on the demented side. Bean is by no means an exception. This guy likes bombs, and he likes ’em a lot. Don’t let his innocent facade fool you, this guy is hauling major firepower.

Other than hanging out in a dynamite factory, little is known of Bean. Though according to rumours (though this has not been confirmed), Bean could be the son of Bin, a character from the original Sega arcade classic Dynamite Dux.

Benedict was chosen by Dimitri to become High Councilor of Echidnaopolis through an election rigged by the Dark Legion. The masses were clueless as to the fact that Pravda, the current High Councilor running for re-election, was turned into a vegetable to help enable the turn of events. Benedict was an excellent speaker able to gain support of many. However, when Benedict was trying to force Remington to swear loyalty to him, Remington refused, which surprised Benedict. When Benedict returned to base, the unconscious Knuckles emitted electromagnetic pulses causing all machinery to malfunction and shutdown, including Benedict and any Dark Legionnaire that didn’t manage to get out of the base in time.

Bernie (as everyone calls her) is Sonic’s mother. Like many Mobians, she took part in the Great War. After Sir Charles’ first attempt at roboticization led to Jules losing his free will, she tried her best to get Charles to continue his work with no success. When she went to visit Warlord Julian to see what he was doing, Julian used Jules to roboticize her. When Charles came to find out what happened to her, Julian said that she was messing with the roboticizer and caused herself to be roboticized. Ten years later when Charles got his free will back, Bernie was one of the few that Charles managed to give their own wills back to. She reunited with Jules, and became part of the secret resistance in Robotropolis. Since being reunited with Sonic after the defeat of the original Robotnik, she’s tried her best to be a supportive mother for Sonic since both she and Jules are aware that Sonic has grown up to be able to handle whatever life happens to send his way. As with all Robians (except her husband), Bernie has been turned back into a Mobian by Ceneca-9009.

Super Sonic had defeated Chaos and tossed the Drakon fish away where it landed with a plop near a large big purple cat with a fishing rod who wondered what had caused the noise…

Of course we don’t know if this was Big or not, but it seems pretty clear that’s who it was meant to be, completing the Sonic Adventure cast list except for E102 Gamma…

Many people think of Big’s character as simply dumb and lazy. That’s probably the worst way to describe him. Big desires the same thing we all want, to live a care-free life, and does what he can to live it. A life, or course, we could all tell him is impossible to obtain. But nontheless, he tries to avoid the hustle and bustle that comes with an eventful life.

Big perfers to stay out of trouble, and spends most of his time in the Mystic Ruins, fishing and hanging out with his best friend Kaeru-kun (Froggy).

Biotex is a planet with an atmosphere of very dense smog. The planet has deadly microbes, so the dominant species evolved into living metal, which allwed them to survive under such harsh conditions. When the Bem scientist Ceneca-9009 visited the Biotex, she saw the metallic Biotexans and was moved with pity. She invented the Derobotizer to turn them into creatures of flesh. This had disastrous results, casuing the entire race to become extinct. Biotex has been presumably unpopulated since then, with the exception of the microbes.

The Black Asteroid was once the biggest gemstone mine on Mobius which somehow ended up in the Special Zone. All that’s left is the ancient tunnel shafts that litter the asteroid around a central platform. When Super Sonic was stuck in the Omni Viewer Chaotix decided to try and seal him away in the Black Asteroid and use a Gravitron Bomb to close of the entrance.

Unfortunately when Super Sonic realised what was going on he had no intention of waiting and instead he started to heat up his surroundings, when the Omni Viewer released him to escape the Black Asteroid became a sort of second sun, heated to millions of degrees, soon to explode. However the scientific group Equinox also discovered that when it exploded it would release an Electromagnetic Pulse, every computer system on the planet would be disabled, hospitals would shut down and aeroplanes would crash, the banking system would fail. Sonic came up with the idea of sending the Black Asteroid to Mobius where the Electromagnetic Pulse would destroy Robotnik’s Empire. The Omni Viewer complied, sent the Black Asteroid to Mobius where it exploded harmlessly, releasing Super Sonic and an Electromagnetic Pulse onto Robotnik.

The Black Comet apparently used to pass the planet once every fifty years, becoming the centrepiece for a great festival as stargazers marvelled up at it. However they had no idea the comet was home to the Black Arms, an army hell bent on their destruction. The last time to comet passed Professor Gerald made contact with it and worked a deal with Black Doom, accepting their help to create the Ultimate Life Form in return for the Chaos Emeralds.

When the comet returned fifty years later the invasion began, thousands of Black Arms descended on the planet to hunt out the Chaos Emeralds. However Professor Gerald had realised what Black Doom was planning and built the Eclipse Cannon to destroy the comet.

Black Doom is an ancient and powerful alien, hell bent on invading Earth no matter what it take. The ruler of the Black Arms he worked alongside Professor Gerald to create Shadow, using his DNA to help recreate the hedgehog. This link gave him a measure of control over Shadow, so when they returned fifty years later Shadow was more than tempted to help him retrieve the Chaos Emeralds.

His problem that the Black Comet wouldn’t be able to successfully land on Earth was solved when Shadow lost the Chaos Emeralds to him and he teleported the Black Comet down with Chaos Control. Then he proceeded to take over the planet, using humans to feed his organic ship and growing more powerful. Shadow however broke free of his conditioning and defeated him, saving the planet.

Blaze is a Queen from another dimension who protects and controls Sol Emeralds in a role similar to that of Sonic and Knuckles combined. She has the power to control flames with her body, but since she was teased about it when she was younger, she wears a cape to disguise the ability. However, when needed, she will toss the cape in a heartbeat.

Bomb is a robot who, like Heavy, had a free mind and joined the fight against Robotnik. after their acceptance as heroes, they joined King Acorn’s secret service under the command of Geoffrey St. John. Bomb was a usefull ally because he could regenerate himself many times, meaning a single explosion would not harm him.

Unfortunately for the Kingdom, during a reconaissance mission to Robotropolis, Robotnik realigned Heavy and Bomb’s programming to his side, and they were assigned to sabotage Knothole and assassinate the royal family. They were stopped only at the last minute, and Bomb’s circutry was electromagnetically deactivated.

More recently, Heavy and Bomb were upgraded by Robotnik in order to assassinate Mina Mongoose. Her security team, consisting of several Freedom Fighters, took out all of the numerous Bombs. Because of his regenerative abilities, it is doubtful whether BOmb is truly gone for good.

Bomb was one of Dr. Eggman’s head mechanics. He allegedly escaped from him, along with his partner Heavy, to assist Knuckles and the Choatix protect Carnival Island, though it is possible they were merely spies sent from Eggman. No one ever knew for sure…

“600 years ago the folk of Mobius lived in separate tribes, at the time it was ruled over by King Leer a hyena who delighted in torturing the other tribes. In those days the different people were reluctant to help each other but they soon learnt that the Hyenas didn’t care who they overrode. However one rebel was willing to stand up to King Leer! Sonic’s ancestor, Bravehog, leader of the hedgehog tribe. When King Leer sent his Hyenas to the Fox Tribe Bravehog appeared at the last moment and fought off the Hyenas. Unfortuantely the foxes weren’t willing to help Bravehog and fled as more Hyenas arrived and captured him. Soon after King Leer arrived and proposed to shave of his spikes for his disobedience however Bravehog’s final speech to the people was so inspirational that the other nations banded together to help save him. United the Tribes soon fought back, inspired by Bravehog’s battle cry. From that day the people of Mobius Lived together…”

600 years later Sonic retold that very story to a masked man fleeing from badniks who wanted to know where Sonic got his nerve from, Sonic replied that it was “In the blood!” Sonic was rightly proud of his ancestors but the Hyena who unmasked himself couldn’t say the same.
However Sonic consoled the Hyena, it wasn’t his fault his “ancestors were deadheads”.

A robotic hedgehog created by Robotnik to fall in love with Sonic and capture him, Breezie really does fall in love with Sonic, but ends up being one of his best friends. Though she doesn’t have any weapons on her, Breezie does have a lot of intelligence for a robot and puts it too good use. When Robotnik recaptured her in an effort to try and reprogram her, she met up with Robotnik Jr., who she falls in love with.

The first Metallix was built to defeat Sonic by matching his speed and durability. But Sonic managed to beat him thanks to ingenious use of the Time Stones and a lot of luck. Robotnik quickly realised more would be needed, he could defeat Sonic with sheer numbers and quickly commissioned a special plant to be built in the special zone.

They were first noticed by Knuckles and the Chaotix when they rescued the Omni Viewer from them, although not until after the Emperor had created a copy. Not long later the Brotherhood broke into Robotnik’s capitol and kidnapped Grimer, going independent from Rrobotnik. Robotnik sent Sonic to deal with them but the hedgehog was too late to stop them travelling to the Miracle Planet with the Alpha Device, intent on recreating the world in their image. Sonic, Amy, Johnny and Porker all headed up the Chain to the Miracle Planet to stop them. After destroying one Metallix through its weak point, the neck, Porker reprogrammed the machine to take Sonic, Amy and Johnny as hostages and then self destruct with the Alpha Device, destroying most of the Metallixes. Porker reprogrammed the Alpha Device and slowly the ground around the device began to return to normal. However as they left Porker noticed the Emperor was still alive, albeit without his flying base and was crawling towards the Alpha device. He ran back down to the Miracle Planet to stop it and then faded from sight as the Miracle Planet disappeared.

The Brootherhood used their copy of the Omni Viewer to rewrite history so there had never been a Doctor Robotnik, but they still existed since it was Grimer who had designed and created them. Sonic and the Chaotix travelled back in time to correct that fault, putting Robotnik back in charge of the planet and returning home. Then the brotherhood turned on Robotnik’s base, explaining the real reason they wanted the dictator dead. He, not Grimer, had been the only one with any sense to put a deactivation code in the Metallixes, in case they ever turned on him. Now he was back he deactivated them and swore that he would never build an intelligent robot again.

Lurking in the shadowy technological confines of Haven, The Brotherhood monitor the status of the current guardian of Angel Island and intervene discreetly when necessary. To train a guardian, who will one day become a member of the brotherhood, it is up to the parents to give them the basics for a certain amount of years, and then allow the Guardian to fend for himself/herself – such was the case with Knuckles until circumstances allowed him to come into contact with the brotherhood a bit earlier than normal.

When a guardian becomes part of the Brotherhood, he or she graduates from the responsibility of monitoring and protecting Angel Island to responsibility for an entire section of Mobius. Usually, however, they do not intervene in the affairs of other species unless they directly affect Echidna well-being.

Since Robotnik took over Angel island, the brotherhood have been missing except for Locke, who is determined to find out what happened to them.

Spectre – The son of Tobor, Spectre is the wild card of the Brotherhood. Dark and ruthless, he is always trailed by a cloud of smoke, his fur is jet black and his eyes are blood red and his head is covered with a robotic visor…
Thunderhawk – Monitor of the country of Downunda, this purple echidna is the loudmouth complainer of the group. Always ready to put his opinion in when nobody wants it, he’s always either getting into an argument with Locke or Spectre.
Sojourner – Thunderhawk is the complainer, Sojourner is the whiner. The father of Janelle-Li, Sojourner doesn’t have much going for him and seems to be the guy that would always prefer “the easy way out” rather than all the other hoopla the rest of the Brotherhood goes through.
Sabre – The son of the mystic Athair, Sabre often takes the role of “leader” though he is not. Sabre is the brains of the group and often the peacemaker as well. He is also usually the best in problem solving as well.
Locke – The son of the Sabre and the youngest of The Brotherhood, Locke is the “mistake” guy. Quiet, observant, and always behind a computer screen to monitor his son Knuckles, Locke is not only the mechanics whiz, but he is also the first to defend Knuckles NO MATTER WHAT the situation.

After having enough of living with the Chaotix whilst trapped in Special Stage, Sonic set up an apartment in New Tek City to get away from their insanity. But he’d not been there for long before a fight between two characters known as the Bruise Brothers broke his peace. The pair of enormous hulks were literally tearing the city apart in their brawl. Sonic tried to discover which was the good guy and after it turned out there was no good guy took on them both. They both turned on him and after suffering a square beating he decided to stay out of it. However, when an old woman got in the way of their fight Sonic couldn’t help but try and save her. The woman turned out to be the Bruise Brothers’ mother and just as violent as they were. She dragged her children off home leaving the area that the fight was held in ruins.

Bruiser Magoon was formerly the bodyguard of pop star Fabian Vane, but after Fabian refused to pay him the wages he deserved Bruiser turned on him and made frequent attempts to beat up Fabian. After Amy and Tekno found out why Bruiser was after Fabian they helped him and others Fabian owed money to get their riches from him.

Bunnie is a martial arts expert and with her robotic limbs enhancing her strength, she’s one of the most dangerous Freedom Fighters in battle. With her Southern accent and sweet personality, she’s well liked by everyone. While it was never used much, Rotor enhanced her limbs by giving them ability to extend distances. For several hours, Bunnie did get to enjoy life without her roboticized parts and loved it very much. Though she has accepted her robotic limbs mostly for the ways they have helped the Freedom Fighters in battles, Bunnie dreams of the day that she loses them permanently as much as the end of Robotnik.

Bunnie Rabbot, with her southern belle accent and sugar-sweet disposition, is not only the strongest of all The Freedom Fighters, but the heart of the group as well. Since being taught some martial arts moves from Princess Sally herself, Bunnie’s been able to flatten a door with one kick, split a boulder with a judo chop and “just plain ol’ pound some Swatbot be-hind.” Bunnie still maintains her perky personality despite squeaking and clanking if her joints aren’t regularly oiled.

Bunnie’s family comes from the Southern part of Mobius. Armed with a portable roboticizer, Swatbots captured and roboticized many southern Mobians, including Bunnie’s parents. Bunnie escaped but was followed and later captured herself. It was there that she was rescued by Sonic and Rotor, but the roboticization process was halfway done, which left one arm and both legs roboticized. She has gone through much emotional pain because of this, yet she has matured into a loyal Freedom Fighter with exceptional strength and determination.

During the final days of Robotnik Prime’s reign over Mobius, Bunnie developed feeligns for fellow Freedom Fighter Antoine D’Coolette, and for a very long time they were a couple. However, Bunnie noticed a sudden change in Antoine’s attitude and they broke up, leaving Bunnie heartbroken and so desperate that she turned to Sonic for romance. However, when it was revealed that Antoine had actually been replaced by Anti-Antoine, Bunnie was reunited with the real Antoine and they continued from where they left off.

The robots (from the video games) that Robotnik used in an attempt to destroy the Great Forest. The water balloon onslaught by the Freedom Fighters though deterred the Buzzbombers, which against Robotnik’s orders retreated.

Calamity Cliffs is complete with many of it’s own dangers and is also part of the key to ultimate velocity. It’s extremely dangerous, though it is possible to survive it with some intelligence.

Cape Robotnik, Robotnik’s main hidden base designed to launch space ships into space, Robotnik takes great pride in it and won’t let anyone know where it is, no matter what.

Captain Claw patrolled the Mobian Channel in his octopus-like machine crushing the vessels of any traveller who tried to cross it. Upon returning to The Floating Island Knuckles had to cross this channel and had a run in with Captain Claw, who smashed the row boat Knuckles was given by Captain Plunder and almost caused him to lose the chest of documents about The Floating Island. Once the captain realised who Knuckles was he made it his aim to capture him and hand him over to Robotnik for the reward money offered for Knuckles’s capture. But the echidna was able to defeat him and use his broken machine to finish the journey across the channel. However, after crossing the channel Knuckles had no choice but to let Captain Claw go free since while Robotnik was ruler no one would be able to lock the villain up.

Captain Plunder is the infamous leader of the Sky Pirates, one of the most feared and respected pirates imaginable. Or that’s how he’d like to be but sadly most sensible pirates steer well clear of the dunderhead who has earned himself a place in Queen Zorabel’s bad books. Sonic first met him when he kidnapped Amy Rose and held her for ransom but as the two groups started fighting Amy suggested they formed an alliance, the Freedom Fighters could do with help and they could tip of Plunder if they heard about Robotnik’s expensive cargo. The successful arrangement worked for a while until Porker Lewis stupidly told Plunder where Sonic had hidden the Chaos Emeralds. Plunder and the Sky Pirates disappeared to collect the emeralds and Sonic had to race after them. In the ensuring battle Plunder actually managed to walk away with all the Emeralds but forgot to think things through. The Chaos Emeralds absorb evil, so when soon Plunder and his crew were reduced to a bunch of hippies who felt no shame in giving Sonic the emeralds away; “Property is theft.” Sonic and Plunder went their separate ways, although they were destined to meet again. After the effects of the Emeralds had worn off, Plunder’s next assault on Doctor Robotnik was far less successful. He tried to rob Doctor Robotnik’s luxury airship the “Roboticus” but was captured when the rest of his crew got away. Robotnik ordered that Captain Plunder was to be put on trial and after public humiliation he was locked in the dungeons, chained the wall next to a black cat. Plunder and Simpson talked and together escaped into the sewers but in escaping lost his entire crew who were all captured by Robotnik, apart from Filch who, as a ghost, had escaped easily. Plunder decided to get a new crew and with Simpson and Filch as his closest allies set out to start again. Unfortunately his best days were behind him as he always seemed to invoke ancient curses, wraths or end of on the bad side of the Freedom Fighters. Eventually Zorabel attempted to do away with him, sending him off to receive the brunt of an ancient curse. A statue came to life and cursed Plunder to spend the rest of his life with bad luck. Plunder, cursing that he didn’t believe in bad luck returned to the ship, narrowly staying in one piece. Zorabel told him to choose from three chests to find his share of the treasure and was amazed when he chose the right one, they had expected the curse to stop him. Unfortunately when Plunder arrived on the deck of his ship though the chest of gold was knocked from his hands, fell overboard and disrupted the shield around the ship. Even more unfortunately this was the exact moment when Captain Tiberius finally caught up with him. Tiberius was a fellow Sky Pirate who Plunder had betrayed when they’d both served under Black Beak. When he opened fire on the ship, its shield was down and they crashed into the ocean in flames. Plunder had lost not only his money but his ship as well thanks to the curse. Fortunately they survived and swam to safety to a nearby island. Plunder was last seen sitting underneath a coconut tree cursing his bad luck. Meanwhile, above him Simpson was fumbling with a coconut, straight below was the Captain’s head…

Castle Grimm was the home of the Ultragem, a castle of many traps designed to keep the gem safe from the wrong hands. It was also home of the guardian ‘Serpentia’. When thief Xenor Krell tricked Amy Rose and Tekno into helping her steal the Ultragem they succeeded in navigating through the traps to the Ultragem and handing it to Xenor. Xenor revealed herself to be a villain and attacked Amy and Tekno, and in her vanity transformed the castle into Solid Silver! The castle then became reflective and Xenor’s own spells destroyed her…

In a botched mission, one of Robotnik’s Swatbots was following closely behind Sally, Antoine, and his escape path. To keep their escape routes safe as well as Sally (mostly) out of harms way, he delibrately hung behind and led the Swatbot down a different path. Cat wouldn’t talk to Robotnik no matter how much he was threatened and when Sonic came to rescue him, he sent Sonic away since Robotnik had found Sally in the swamp. When Sonic returned to Cat’s cell after ensuring Sally and Antoine’s safety, it was empty and Cat’s exact fate was left unknown.

Ceneca-9009 is best known as the Bem scientist who was in charge of restoring most of the Robians on Mobius back to their original flesh forms. She was also responsible for making Robotnik MkII and Snively into creatures of flesh. Here’s how it all happened: After Ceneca-9009 discovered the Bitoexans, a race made of metal, she was moved with pity and “derobotized” the whole race, unwittingly causing their extinction. The derobotizer was then made illegal. After a trial in which Sonic and Tails (in robot form) defeated Robotnik MkII and Snively (in flesh form), the Tribunal Magistrate of Argentium ordered that all Mobians be Robotized. But Ceneca-9009 abducted and DErobotized all Robians, causing herself to be sentenced to death. She was saved only by a timely and quite coincidential rescue made by none other than Sonic the Hedgehog.

These clowns are based on real life childrens show the Teletubbies in one of the most blatent rip off’s Fleetway ever got away with.

Three members of D.R.A.T. (Doctor Robotnik Appreciation Tribe) decided to make a TV programme called The Channel Hoppers staring Wiggly, Jiggly and Floppy which broadcasted a frequency only young minds could pick up making them believe that Doctor Robotnik is wonderful. Upon discovering their plan Tails contacted his friend Tim Tuna to block the frequency and replace it with a broadcast saying what they Channel Hoppers were really up to, leaving then free for Tails to defeat without any trouble from the teenage viewers.

Living right alongside the bustling world, are the Chao. The Chao are mysterious creatures, with the ability to morph themselves into the physical shape of any other living animald. They also obtain these animals’ special abilities, to create an infinite variety of shapes, characters and movements. Chao are popular as pets and well known for their cute appearance and playful nature.

8000 years ago Pochacamac lead a war against the Drakon Empire. His daughter Tikal dragged Sonic into the past and he showed the Echidnas that the Drakons were really fish and captured one. Pochacamac wanted to use this hostage to bargain with but when a fight broke out the Chaos Emeralds were hit and everyone fled except for the captured fish. In a twist of fate though the Drakon didn’t die and bonded with the water in the fish tank to transform into something entirely new. Sonic was amazed to see Chaos several millennia into his past and fought the creature. Chaos nearly drowned Sonic inside himself however Pochacamac returned Sonic to the future to keep him alive and by doing so weakened Chaos so that Knuckles could seal him away. That was until Robotnik freed him in a last desperate chance to defeat Sonic with the most powerful creation ever. Chaos fought Sonic in the Metropolis Zone. With his strange power whenever enemies approached they became to frightened to attack. Only Sonic managed to strike out at the creature but as the two came into contact Chaos fled and Sonic woke up to find that his eyes had turned green from the Chaos Energy. Porker Lewis had a plan to defeat Chaos by electrocuting him, however in the fight the machines wires weren’t connected and Johhny Lightfoot dashed to connect them but was hit by Chaos. Chaos exploded into thousands of tiny droplets and disappeared, meanwhile Johnny Lightfoot died. Chaos was not in fact dead, he had dispersed into a thousand droplets which slowly began returning together and Chaos floated towards the floating Island, towards he Chaos Emeralds! He defeated Knuckles and began collecting the Chaos Emeralds but Knuckles jettisoned them to keep them safe for a while longer. The Floating Island crashed into the ocean and Knuckles was forced to join the freedom fighters, still coming to terms with Johnny’s Death.
Sonic was transported into the past to have his adventure mentioned previously and whilst he was away Amy, Porker, Knuckles and Tails were trying to track the Chaos Emeralds. So was Robotnik who had collected several, and Chaos followed their scent to his hidden base. Everyone arrived at Robotnik’s base and Robotnik happily handed over the emeralds, eager to watch the end of the world. Just as things seemed terrible Sonic appeared inside Chaos, returned from the ancient past. This time however Sonic wasn’t able to stop him and he absorbed all the Chaos Emeralds to become Perfect Chaos!
However they weren’t alone, the Chaos Energy had also attracted a dieing Super Sonic who needed Chaos Energy to keep himself alive. When Super Sonic touched Chaos he absorbed all of his energy. When the dust cleared Super was fully empowered and clutching the Drakon Fish. He tossed the fish away which landed with a plop near Big the Cat…

The Chaos Emeralds are a limitless source of a mysterious energy known as Chaos Energy. This energy can be used in many ways, from giving special powers to certain individuals to powering technological devices. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Mammoth Mogul, Enerjak and others have used this energy to transform themselves into beings of great power. According to the Isaac the Robot, the original Mobian Chaos Emeralds were formed when the radiation from the Xorda’s Gene-Bomb reacted with deposits of the mineral beryl below the surface of Mobius. Because Isaac’s data was later discovered to be corrupt, the accuracy of this information has been called into question.

For a long time, the only Chaos Emeralds known to Mobians were the hundreds (perhaps thousands) of Green Chaos Emeralds which existed on Mobius. However, Sonic later encountered Red Chaos Emeralds while he was in space. These had different properties from the Emeralds with which he as familiar. When A.D.A.M. wished to harness all the Chaos Energy in the universe, he summoned all of the emeralds to himself. In addition to the Green and Red Chaos Emeralds, there were five other colors, Blue, Yellow, Gray, Cyan, and Purple Chaos Emeralds. When A.D.A.M. was defeated, these were sealed into the Zone of Silence where their form was changed.

In their new form, there are seven Chaos Emeralds, each in one of the colors of the seven original types. These Emeralds are apparently identical to one another in properties, and are probably slightly different from the original Mobian Chaos Emeralds. The only Chaos Emerald which escaped this reformation was the Master Emerald. The Gray Chaos Emerald is currently in the possession of the Kingdom of Knothole. The other six Chaos Emeralds reside in the Zone of Silence, which has newly been renamed the Special Zone.

The Chaotix was formed when Knuckles needed help to defeat Metal Sonic, Dr. Robotnik, and Renfield to save all the Freedom Fighters of Mobius. Ever since that battle, Knuckles has slowly learned that having some friends along to fight on his side in battles isn’t necessarily a bad thing. That’s the Chaotix in a nutshell. Individually, they all are Knuckles’ closest friends and live in various parts of the Floating Island. However, whenever there’s trouble and Knuckles needs help, they band together to help Knuckles end any and all threats to peace on the Floating Island.

Charmy – The smallest member of the group. Ususally can’t be detected by the enemy, which he uses to his advantage. He’s pretty strong considering that he can carry anyone while flying.
Espio – The most mysterious member of the group. He keeps to himself, but his camouflaging and wall climbing abilities are invaluable.
Vector – The loudest member of the group. Usually the one to express disagreement with a plan, but always follows along anyway. The best swimmer of the group.
Mighty – The strongest and friendliest member of the group. A little “happy-go-lucky” as he looks for the best in everyone and is more trusting than any other member.
Julie-Su – The reluctant joiner of the group with the most common sense. She’s also the only one who carries a weapon (unless you count Vector’s walkman as one too).
Ray – The newest addition. He’s usually with Mighty and is polite/quiet.
Heavy & Bomb – Brief one-time members. Mighty introduced them as they helped Knux, Vector, Espio, Charmy, & Mighty defeat Metal Sonic.

11 years ago, Charles was the Minister of Science and serving the King in Mobotropolis. He is a very intelligent hedgehog and also watched his nephew, Sonic, who played with his friends Princess Sally, Rotor, Bunnie and Antoine. Charles also invented the roboticizer to enable people to live longer, but for some reason it took away the will of anyone who used it. Unfortunately, Julian (aka Robotnik) as Minister of War stole the plans for the roboticizer and staged a coup. Charles was one of the many victims of the roboticizer. The fact that Charles also created the machine that makes power rings is a way he impacted the effort against Robotnik. With the help of a power ring, he regained his free-will long enough to help the Freedom Fighters save Mobius’ environment. It was later on when Charles was temporarily de-roboticized that he permanently regained his free-will despite being roboticized. Since he was still roboticized, Charles made the perfect spy for the Freedom Fighters. Called Uncle Chuck by everyone (not just Sonic), he also was a helpful advisor to the group and played a major role in the success of their missions.

Charmy Bee is the most sophisticated of the Chaotix…this guy knows his P’s and Q’s! Infact, he’s often the one who has to keep Espio in line. Charmy flew to Carnival Island in search of new types of flowers. It was there he met Knuckles and joined the Chaotix. Only he can handle tricky problems in such a cool and charming way, making him an invaluable member of the team.

Charmy’s small size and light weight make him a difficult target, which is compounded by his ability to fly out of any danger and to any altitude. Not only that – BUT his diminutive size makes it easy for him to get into many places unnoticed. Charmy, unlike the other Chaotix, doesn’t spin. His unique Buzz Attack, similar to Vector’s Power Boost, can tear right through the most powerful of Badniks with relative ease. He also has a unique alternative to the Spin-Dash, the Buzz Dash, which has the same effect but can be done instantly with no charging. His flight range is unlimited, and using Ring Power, this little honey bee is even strong enough to lift his friends into the air with him.

It was there he met Mighty first and eventually joined the Chaotix when he and the others helped out Knuckles save the Freedom Fighters. Only he can handle tricky problems in such a cool and charming way, making him an invaluable member of the team. Charmy’s small size and light weight make him a difficult target, which is compounded by his ability to fly out of any danger. His unique Buzz-dash can tear right through the most powerful of Badniks with relative ease; and using Ring Power, this little honey bee is even strong enough to lift his friends into the air with him. And in many people’s opinion, he is the cutest of all of The Chaotix. He can shrink himself in size when he goes to fly and enlarge his size in normal mode – but in all honesty he has the biggest heart of all the Chaotix, and is often found hanging out with Mighty or being the peacekeeper between the argumentative Espio and stubborn Vector. Briefly, he has now returned to his home in Goldenhive Colony and accepted his destiny as Prince of the Bee Realm as well as reconciling with the family he ran away from.

Thankfully there’s nobody else quite like Charmy Bee, probably the smartest idiot you’re ever likely to meet. A key member of the Chaotix Crew, guardians of the Special Zone. He’s a key member because it’s his money funding the organisation but the others don’t know that. Only Sonic knows the truth that Charmy was the son of the Queen Bee, ruler of the hive. There had been an agreement that Charmy should write home and visit as often as possible but somehow the young prince had forgotten to visit. No matter how many idiotic witticisms he came up with or how much he annoyed Vector, Charmy stayed around. He was the first to notice that Super Sonic was moving around inside the Omni Viewer but didn’t tell Vector because he always shouted at him. Charmy came into his best in the Chaotix Crew’s battle against the Fundamental Four and the Crimson Cobra. To fight the fundamental four he ‘borrowed’ some bee workers from the hive and using pottery tools merged the Fundamental Four (Fire, water, mud and wind) into a giant peace of pottery. Later after the Crimson Cobra had defeated the other members of the Chaotic Crew Charmey decided to buy out the Crimson Cobras business. Perhaps the smartest, and most ridiculous way of defeating a super villain ever!

Cheddarmund is an Overlander who traveled with Colin Kintobor and his group to the stars. He seems to be an expert at computers and technology, as Colin is seen depending on Cheddarmund’s claculations to find out that they had landed on Mobius. Unfortunately for Cheddarmund, his genius is also brought into service by the former Robo-Robotnik for a special project. For his hard work on the project – perfecting robotization by touch – Robo-Robotnik shook his hand – and turned him into a motionless robot on the spot.

The Chemical Plant Zone a nasty zone filled with tons of pollution and chemicals that can do all sorts of things. No one lives there and no one is willing to try and clean it up.

Chloe presents a daytime show presumably based on Top of the Pops which shows off the latest music hits sensation to the public by giving them the pop stars a chance to sing and be interviews amidst crowds of adoring, mostly female, fans…

Created by Robotnik in order to make a zone that he could use to enslave Mobians and brainwash them, the computer program was abandoned when Robotnik learned its desire was to create a happy zone. The program named itself Citizen One and used its powers to abduct and brainwash Mobians into living its happy zone. But it made the mistake of taking Sonic, who resisted its brainwashing and exposed it for what it really was. In the end it made a carnival zone where citizens would go to enjoy themselves and it wouldn’t have to be lonely anymore.

Clive was bullied by his fellow villagers and called a wimp because he was interested in technology instead of sport. So to get his revenge on them he disguised himself as a Trooper and took “Tax” off the other villagers. This plan didn’t go to well when Tails turned up to stop him and some real some Troopers discovered him. Both Tails and Clive were captured by the Troopers but managed to escape by making use of Clive’s knowledge to shut off the power to the electric cuffs they were being held by. However, he accidentally shut off the power to the entire ship that the Troopers were using to transport them so Tails had to save them both by flying to the ground (Not without a fight on the way down though). After returning to safety Tails convinced Clive to confess his wrongs and return the money he took back to the villagers.

Cluck is Robotnik’s “pet” bird. He very rarely did much other than sit on Robotnik’s shoulder. Snively didn’t seem to like him much as Snively would sometimes purposely make his eyes pop out with a remote control.

The original robot created by Dr. Robotnik, Coconuts is a robotic monkey constantly being put on caretaker duty when Grounder and Scratch were made. He is always over-reacting when Sonic, Scratch, or Grounder makes fun of him, which usually ends up in him failing in his plan. When Coconuts does get his chance to go on mission to capture Sonic, he usually has the worst luck and the most interesting plans. Even though he is the smartest of the three robots, he doesn’t get his chance to ever shine because of the SSSSSS.

Cream met Sonic after Dr. Eggman kidnapped her in Leaf Forest and Sonic rescued her. Unfortunately, impatient to get away she didn’t get a chance to tell him that her mother was in trouble, so she set out to rescue her mum herself. Armed with her pet Chao, Cheese, she fought her way after Sonic. Polite and cute she never the less posed a threat to Eggman thanks to Cheese’s near constant help. After Super Sonic saved her mother she set out to find cheese’s brother Chocola. Helped by Amy and Big they chased after Sonic who had apparently taken Chocola. After nearly having Cheese kidnapped by the Chaotix they boarded Eggman’s air base to find Chocola. They helped joint in the fight to defeat Metal Sonic, the real culprit of the Chaonapping. Later she made friends with Emerl and helped him learn new abilities to take on Dr. Eggman. After Emerl was destroyed and Gemerl was defeated Tails rebuilt him to be Cheese’s friend.

Cribbins was the Crimson Cobra’s most loyal servant, his job was to hold the miniscule snake, carry him around and act as muscle if the snake was ever threatened. Cribbins was a good employee who knew how to always agree with his boss and look very intimidating. Since he was the Cobra’s personal servant when Charmee Bee bought out Crimson Cobra .Inc Cribbins stayed with the Cobra and nearly stopped the walkout of staff with his equipment. Fortunately he was offered a double salary if he worked for Charmy instead, effectively finishing the Cobra completely. When the Cobra asked him, “You wouldn’t work for that ridiculous bee would you?” Cribbins already knew his reply: “Absolutely. Mr Cobra!”

Originally hailing from the rough terrain of Downunda, Crocbot is probably one of the STRONGEST Underbosses Robotnik has. However he is also the largest evil streak – and would do anything in his will to not only dethrone Doctor Robotnik – but kill Tails at ANY COST. Especially seeing as how it was Tails who was responsible for destroying his body and fusing him permanently to his tank with a bomb! Upon reaching Downunda, Tails encountered the Downunda Freedom Fighters – a group of Australian FF’s that sought to free to thier country from Robotnik’s rule. Inviting himself on his quest after he was recued and taken to Athair – Knuckles’ grandfather, Tails and Guru Emu – in an attempt to rescue one of thier comrades, Wombat Stu, let loose with a supply of Bomberangs. As Crocbot was hit with the bomberang, his tank skidded out of control and went flying into the Floating Island crater where the tanks nuclear core exploded. But Crocbot was NOT gone for good. After Tails left he set up his new base in that very crater! Taking his new army of Combots on loan from Doctor Robotnik, that area served as his base of operations until The Downunda Freedom fighters destroyed it and finally liberated thier country from his grip. This time Crocbot lost the entire lower half of his body, but he still wasnt through – he had managed to capture one of the Downunda FF’s and implanted a mind control chip on him. It wasn’t until Sonic and Tails came along on thier quest to locate Ixis Naugus, that Crocbot was finally stepped on for good. Taken in custody, Sonic took Crocbot’s battered remains back to Mobotropolis only to have it stolen by part of Snively’s gang in an attempt to revive all of Doctor Robotniks associates after his “death” – the possible purpose being: to fully rebuild him. Crocbot’s wherabouts at this time, are unknown…

A huge robot that Eggman created and manned as part of his plan to get Sonic’s biological data (if he couldn’t get rid of Sonic with the robot). Supposedly, this robot took over Eggman’s home/base and was planning on destroying it (which would affect the rest of the planet as well). This robot almost defeated Sonic & Tails with it’s ability to fire glue, but Knuckles rescued them (and then had to be saved himself after he had gotten stuck in the glue).

Hundreds of years ago, before the citizens of Echidnaopolis renounced technology, there were rumors of a hooded clan that walked the streets and skulked in the shadows. They came to be known as the Dark Legion. Led by Menniker, the son of Dimitri (also known as Enerjak), the Dark Legion has hosted a centuries long visage of evil and were responsible for the death of Edmund, the very first guardian. They terrorized the Floating Island until they were banished to a prison-like area called the Twilight Zone by Menniker’s cousin Steppenwolf. After returning to Mobius Prime, they sought to bring back technology to an extreme rivaled almost by that of Robotnik himself. The ritual for induction was an echo of this purpose–one replace a body part or certain area of one’s body with cybernetic pieces.

Fanatically loyal to Dimitri, they once did his evil bidding but have become useful since Dimitri allied himself with Knuckles. Since Dimitri’s disappearance, the Legion is know under the wing of Lien-Da, whose motives are shady but seems to have the best interests of all echidnas at heart.

Daz Dynamo is the coolest hunk in Skegpool, he’s so amazing that he can do forty push-up’s on one his little finger, a feat which rewarded him a bandage specially applied by Tails. Daz hated Tails because he saw him as competition for the girls on the beach even though he thought that Tails was a “complete wimp”. However after Tails saved his life from some Caterkillers Daz realised Tails was an “okay dude”.

It is possible Daz, and the entire setting, is based on David Hasselhoff’s hit TV series; “Baywatch.”

The lengendary Deep Power Stones were a royal family secret. Only the royal family knew exactly where they were as the two stones put together one way granted enormous power while put together another way would cause mass destruction. It took Robotnik a while, but he managed to translate the scrolls that told where the stones were. However, he only managed to get one, as Tails’ plan on making Robotnik think that the Freedom Fighters found and destroyed the other worked. The power stones allowed Sonic and Sally to destroy the Doomsday Project.

This is the place where Rob O’ The Hedge currently resides along with his wife, Mari-An. Deerwood Forest is a huge and dense forest, much like the Great Forest that contains Knothole. During the reign of the High Sheriff, Deerwood Forest served as a hideaway for Rob and his Crazy Kritters. This is also the place Amy Rose grew up in until Rob sent her to live in Knothole.

As the leader of the Dark Legion, Dimitri has never seen eye to eye with the Brotherhood of Guardians. Although he eventually came to a wary peace agreement with the guardian Kncukles, relations have not always been so good. Dimitri and his brother Edmund created the Chaos Syphon which was supposed to return the Floating Island onto the Mobius Mainland. However, it backfired and infused Dimitri with the emerald energy instead. Dimitri went positively insane with the power of 11 Chaos Emeralds howling inside him, and he became the villainous Enerjak.

He remained buried in an avalanche under Mount Fate until he was revived centuries later. There he rebuilt his “master city” of Nekronopolis – Echidnaopolis remade – until Knuckles and The Chaotix shot him into deep space. Thanks to Mammoth Mogul, Enerjak returned where he resumed leadership of the Legion from Kragok, his own grandson several generations removed. Enerjak didn’t realise that he was a pawn in Mogul’s scheme and after all those centuries of Chaos energy he could do nothing as every drop of it was drained out of him, reducing him to his true age – that of a shriveled old echidna that could barely breathe.

Seeking to keep him alive, the DL managed to infuse his aged body with cybernetic parts, making him a cyborg barely capable of living. Under this condition, he has been forced to accept the help of his once-hated relative Kncukles, whose help has proved useful on several occasions. Dimitri’s current whereabouts are unknown, and Lein-Da has taken over the Dark Legion.

Leader of the Eastern Freedom Fighters

Doctor Bobble’s was a scientist in New Tek City, annoyed that no one respected his genius. He used a machine he’d invented to make him stronger. But since he absorbed too much of the machine’s rays he ended up turning into The Bulk and rampaging through the city. Sonic and Chaotix turned up to fight him but he was too strong for them until Vector found a way to reverse the effects of the machine and change him back. After he was stopped Sonic destroyed the Delta Ray machine and the doctor made a resolution to use his knowledge for good in future.

Doctor Robotnik is, has and probably always will be the definitive Sonic Villain, although occasionally usurped, often foolish and completely insane. You see, originally there was once a man called Doctor Kintobar, where he came from no-one knows. Although, Kintobar has other claims to fame, it was him who turned Sonic into the blue speed demon we all know and love. Well, one day Kintobar was working in his laboratory, studying the Chaos Emeralds when Sonic called him over to look at the fridge, where the only food left was a rotten egg. Annoyed Kintobar took the egg and then tripped over into the machine he was working on. When the dust cleared the machine was destroyed and the lean thin genius known as Kintobar was replaced by the alarmingly fat dictator we would all learn to hate, the transformation was so complete that even the name tag had changed to Doctor Robotnik. Within minutes Robotnik was already plotting how he could take over the world and it didn’t take long until Sonic was called into action to defeat him. Again and again. Being a genius Robotnik quickly realised he needed to get Sonic out of the way and after his plans to roboticise, drown and blow up the hedgehog failed he plumped for the winner. Somehow hacking into the Omni Viewer Robotnik trapped Sonic, Tails, Porker and Johnny Lightfoot in a time warp and banished them into the future, however since the Omni Viewer retained some free will it only sent them six months into the future so Robotnik’s peaceful empire was short lived.

In the ensuing battle Robotnik ruled supreme as merciless dictator, then after being deposed turned into an eco-terrorist, formed alliances with the Drakon Empire and ended up twice turning into an insane god. After all of these were defeated it was no wonder he went insane and nearly destroyed the world by releasing Chaos.

Doctor Sorders is a therapist who uses hypnosis to help people improve their confidence. Tails went to see her after becoming tired of getting the cold shoulder off the pubic and wanting to be just as cool as Sonic. But unfortunately this change was for the worst and instead of becoming cool or confident Tails became self-obsessed and ignorant. She managed to help Sonic track him to the Tough Tea Club and used her abilities to snap him back to normal before he caused any real trouble. After this she was forced to hypnotise the rough thugs after Tails into peace lovers.

Doctor Zachary is one of the last Echidnas, returned to the Floating Island after a long absence. He found Knuckles and tricked him into taking him to the Master Emerald.
Zachary had plans of his own, he had found and activated some ancient Guardian robots which Knuckles knew nothing about and ordered it to find the Master Emerald. When it arrived it knocked Knuckles out and smashed the Master Emerald and absorbed its power. Zachary climbed into the Guardian robot and escaped…
Or he would have done but Knuckles used a zoom tube to catch him just before he got of the Island. Zachary and Knuckles fought but Zachary fell of the edge of the Island and Knuckles used the Guardian Robot to keep the Floating Island airborne.
Luckily Zachary was found by Robotnik’s soldiers and thanks to the wonders of Robotnik surgery Zachary’s life was saved as a half echidna-cyborg. Zachary and Robotnik teamed up and stormed the Floating Island whilst Knuckles was trapped on the ground. They enslaved the entire emerald hill zone and would of trapped them all permanently had an electromagnetic pulse not wiped out Robotnik’s computers, disabled Zachary’s weaponry and forced him to flee.

These pods were nearly indestructible as it took a special lightning field or the “special” balloons Rotor created to destroy them. These pods destroyed anything in their paths and were able to be created in mass numbers thanks to Robotnik’s Doomsday Project.

Downunda is a very large island (you could call it a continent) with many different kinds of Mobians living in it. It also has a long history, though most of it is unknown. There’s a huge crater in Downunda, which is the spot where the Floating Island rose up into the skies. When Robotnik took over Mobotropolis, he set-up Crocbot as his sub-boss in Downunda who terrorized the residents until he was finally stopped by the Downunda Freedom Fighters when they helped Antoine & Bunnie escape. It is also the place that some rare ore is found–the ore Robotnik needed for his Ultimate Annihilator. Downunda is where Athair seemingly resided with the Ancient Walkers, at least by the time Tails made his first visit to the place he did.

If you thought the Kingdom of Acorn had its share of troubles, just wait till you see Downunda! Downunda is ruled by Robotnik’s sub boss Crocbot. Tails discovered the Downunda Freedom Fighters after going head to head with Crocbot’s Wing Dingo squadron. Taking him to Athair to be nursed back to health, the Downunda FF’s show that they are just as caring as they are together as a team. So far, after Crocbot’s final attempt at revenge by taking over the entire Platypus tribe only to end up disconnected, the DFF and their country are currently free. But they still seek to rebuild so much of that which they have lost and often lend a hand to anyone whenever it is needed.

Walt Wallabee – The leader of the group, Walt is one of the few male kangaroos with pouches. In it he stores his biggest weapon: The Bomberang! Walt has his eyes set on Barby Koala but has most likely never told her yet
Barby Koala – The second member of the group, Tails already has a HUGE crush on her. Though Barby is MUCH older by standards, she thinks Tails is kinda cute too. Barby comes equipped with SHARP koala claws that can darn near hack through the sturdiest of items. She’s almost more take charge than Walt at times but is apt to do whatever is needed of her.
Wombat Stu – The youngest member of the group, Stu is blessed with super hearing and is also quick and agile due to his small size
Guru Emu – The weirdo and “group hippie”, Guru Emu is as relaxed as about anything can be. Though he can’t fly he can dispense wisdom and thought in a heartbeat.
Duck “Bill” Platypus – The fighter and feistiest one of the group, Duck Bill will gladly give ANYTHING a right hook if it moves. The little “Pocket Popeye” comes from a tribe of other Platypus’ that were part of a Crocbot mass hypnosis scheme that captured Emu and Wombat Stu. So far Bill has shaken off its effects and serves heartedly.

In all of the Sonic universe, there probably isn’t a character as complex as Dr. Eggman (known to some as Dr. Ivo Robotnik). Don’t let his foolish appearance convince you he has a simple personality. His one goal in life is, for reasons know only to him, to gain ultimate power to take over the world. The only thing standing in the path of his dreams of world conquest is Sonic the Hedgehog, who he sees as his fierce archenemy. It is unknown when Sonic and Eggman first met, but whatever the case it seems no matter what he tries, Sonic and his pesky friends always find a way to ruin his plans.

In order to gain ultimate power, Dr. Eggman must collect the 7 Chaos Emeralds, which hold unlimited mystic powers, beyond our comprehension. Once he has these, the world will be his for the plucking.

In order to keep anything from standing in his way, Eggman has created his own trademark robots known as Badniks. These robots absorb their juice from the cute, fuzzy little animals seen hopping around various locations. But no matter how strong his robots are, or how well his tactics are devised, he can never seem to bag just one victory, and always falls at the mercy of his arch rival and his friends!

But there is one thing that can be said for certain, and that is no matter how many losses this man faces, no matter how humiliating the defeat, Eggman NEVER gives up! No matter how fierce an opponant he sees the hedgehog to be, he never lets himself believe that he will lose!

Sitting in his fortress or watching things from his precious Egg-O-Matic Robotnik has a deep hatred for Sonic. More willing to let his robots do the dirty work, unless he decides he needs to, Robotnik always has a plan, which he feels is full proof, and will capture “the hedgehog”. Knowing how to get a hold of Sonic, many of Robotniks plans either involves capturing Tails or attacking a town. Rarely will he actually come up with a plan that does capture Sonic, only to have it ruined by his robots, which he is constantly blaming for everything. Lying and cheating are Robotnik’s strongest qualities and he doesn’t think twice about double crossing people he makes allies with. Constantly ending a plan with “I hate that hedgehog!” Robotnik always has something greater and better next time.

Sitting on the top of a mountain, and sporting an oversized statue of Robotnik, Dr. Robotnik’s lair is his central base for his plots to take over Mobius and destroy Sonic himself. Damaged and destroyed on many occasions, the base has little defenses except for that of Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts. Although it holds a massive prison block, the base is more of a home to Robotnik than an actual military base. When not having the SSSSS and Coconuts on a mission, they are usually the ones cleaning the base. The lair is also Sonic’s usual first and last stop in preventing Robotnik’s plans of taking over Mobius.

Once a member of the Wolf Pack Freedom Fighters, Drago was the wild card of group – usually the first to disobey orders and go off on his own tangent. Quick to act on his lust for the easy life, Drago allied himself with Robotnik Prime. Through abuse, Drago convinced his girlfriend Hershey to go into Robotropolis wearing a Sonic suit claiming that he had “valuable information” on how to stop the Eggman’s nephew, Snively, once and for all. Unbeknownst to Hershey, the suit was fitted with an optical device that caused her to believe that anyone she saw was Snively. Becuase of this, Hershey nearly killed Sally, believing all the while that she was killing Snivelly.

When Hershey realized that she was the cause of Sally’s near-death experience, the relationship was obviously over. Drago attempted a hasty escape but was soon captured and sent to the Devil’s Gulag with several other prisoners. After the mass jailbreak from the Devil’s Gulag, Drago teamed up with Sleuth Doggy Dogg and the Fearsom Foursome and hid out for a while, until he allied himself with Robotnik Mk II. This caused him to be roboticized and shortly thereafter he was caught in an exploding building.

Drago’s current whereabouts are unknown. Apparently, he and his allies managed to escape destruction and were later derobotized by the Bem. Robotnik Mk II found robots that looked very much like the Robian versions of Drago and company, but they may only have been duplicated. Nevertheless, the duplicates had recordings of Drago and company allying themselves with the entity known as Anonymous, so where he is now is anybody’s guess.

Dr. Ivana Robotina is the ruthless female version of Robotnik that resides in the Luna Zone. She is like Robotnik in almost every way….except for one. She doesn’t roboticize her victims – she monsterizes them, turning them into monsters!

When she came to Mobius Prime, her first target for monsterization is Sonic. Though she failed to do so, no thanks to Sally Moon who came from her dimension, she still kept fighting to stay in Mobius Prime – until she was brought down by Tuxedo Knux’s rose.

The place where the Deep Power Stones were located.

Dr. Quack is the royal physician and one of the best medical experts in Knothole. When King Max was turning into crystal, he devised a Dream Watcher that allowed Sonic to enter King Max’ mind to stop King Max from turning into crystal any further. However, that device gave off energy that allowed Dr. Robotnik to find Knothole and, with his wife & kids captured, Dr. Quack became Dr. Robotnik’s pawn during Dr. Robotnik’s ultimate scheme. However, he was forgiven for his role due to the circumstances and has continued to be the main person the Freedom Fighters turn to whenever someone needs medical attention.

Two major characters have gone by the name of Dr. Robotnik.

Robotnik Prime, also known as Dr. Ivo Robotnik, was the main nemesis of Sonc and the Freedom Fighters up to and including Sonic #50.

Robotnik MkII, also known as Eggman and formerly RoboRobotnik, has been the main nemesis of Sonc and the Freedom Fighters since Sonic #75.

Other notable alternate versions of Robotnik include Dr. Ivanna Robotina from the Luna Zone Mobius, Dr. Kintobor from the Anti-Mobius, Dr. Kintobor from the Mobius seen in Zone Wars: Giant Robotno, and the Dr. Robotnik from The universe based on Sonic Underground.

Dulcy is one of the few dragons left on Mobius as a result of Robotnik’s rule. She’s a special dragon called a “protector” and as a result has more powers than the average dragon. Next to Sonic, she is definitely the most powerful Freedom Fighter. She has a big problem landing and has only really done it properly when she was carrying a dragon egg. As a result of her “landings,” she normally becomes dazed and starts thinking she’s talking to her “ma.” She has an almost child-like personality and is very loyal to her friends. She also knows more about some of the legends of Mobius than any of the other Freedom Fighters.

Duly lived in a dragon colony until it was invaded by Robotnik. Many of the colony was roboticized, including Dulcy’s mother, Sabina. Dulcy and some other dragons, led by the elder Glint, escaped underground to the lost dragon city of Vesuvio, where they were forbidden to go to the surface world. Dulcy disobeyed this and joined the Knothole Freedom Fighters. When Glint discovered this, he stripped her of her flame breath and banished her from Vesuvio. Dulcy became a full-time freeodm fighter after this, but she missed her home.

She is very sweet, and has a child-like personality. Always eager to help, she often flies the Freedom Fighters all around Mobius whenever they need her and she was an integral part of clearing Sonic’s name when he was accused of murdering the Princess Sally. Dulcy is capable of terrific speeds when flying by snapping her tail in back of her, in a move known as “cracking the whip”. She also has the ability to discern truth from lies, along with multiple other abilities.

Recently, longing to see her people and to get her flame back, she returned to Vesuvio to ask for a pardon. However, she was folowed by roboticized dragons who then terrorized Vesuvio. Becuase Dulcy helped repel the mecha-dragons, she was allowed her flame powers back and she became the ambassador of Vesuvio to the surface world.

E-102 “g” was the second in Eggman’s new line of advanced targeting robots, after E-101 “b“. He was created for several purposes, one of which being to serve as crew to Dr. Eggman’s new ship, the Egg Carrier, and to assist him in carrying out his latest diabolical scheme. Gamma’s first test upon creation was to face his brother, Beta, in combat. Gamma easily defeated Beta, and proved his worth as becoming crew to the Egg Carrier.

E-102’s first mission, as with the rest of his “brothers”, the E-100 series, is to retrieve a tailed frog. After finding it in Station Square, he wins the admirition of Dr. Eggman, who then dismisses the other robots as worthless scrap metal and disposes them in such a manner. Gamma is then assigned to retrieve a bird from the imprisoned Amy Rose. When ordering her to give him the bird, Amy refused, which confused him. The bird then flew up to Gamma, and something came over him, something that wasn’t in his programming. In an odd display of emotion, Gamma releases Amy and the bird from their prison cell and tells them to escape.

After being convinced by Amy to not kill Sonic and ignore Eggman’s orders, E-102 escapes the now demolished Egg Carrier, and overrides his programming to give himself a new mission: free the rest of his “brothers” by destroying their robotic shells, therefore releasing the little birdy trapped inside. This mission eventually leads him back to the ocean bound remains of the Egg Carrier, where he squares off against a heavily upgraded E-101.

After destorying each other, the birds trapped within E-101 and E-102 are finally released. E-102 “g” was completley destroyed.

The last of Dr. Eggman’s E-series robots, Omega is considered to be the most powerful. But he was decommissioned and left for scrap in an abandoned base in the middle of nowhere. Rouge, searching for some treasure that Eggman had hidden, sneaked into the base accidentally reactivated him and Shaodw. Omega decided that Shadow was a robot created by Eggman and tried to destroy him to get revenge on Eggman. Rouge managed to break up the fight and explained what Shadow was. After all of that they set out on a mission to find and stop Dr. Eggman. Omega has since made it his mission to destroy any and all robots still loyal to the dictator, his mission far beyond any normal obsession.

E.V.E was created by Robotnik with DNA from him and Sonic. His main attempt was using it/her to get rid of Sonic. However, he was close but his creation backfired as that EVE learned too much and the DNA from Sonic overpowered from what she got with Robotnik. The resulted in what was thought to be annihilation of the great Robotnik but as it turned out, was just a transfer to a orbitting server powered by a different dimensional Robotnik (RoboRobonik)

E.V.E. was last seen escaping into the vast reaches of space and her location was unknown until Sonic came across her, destroying worlds and incorporating their raw materials into herself. Sonic persuaded her to stop, and she destroyed herself.

The world underneath the Earth of the Sky. Eggmanland can be found here and that is where Eggman lives.

The world above the Earth of Darkness. This is the side of the world where most people reside on the planet on various different islands. The weak spot is the ice bridges that hold it together. If they were ever melted, the islands would break up.

Ebony runs a famous coffee bar in a part of Metropolis known as “The Neighbourhood” with help from her best friend Pyjamas and has dedicated fifteen years of her life to learning magic. She first met Knuckles when he came across a protest she was involved in with some of the locals to try and save the Fauna (Talking trees) that Robotnik wanted to destroy. The two teamed up to defeat the troopers then a magician called Omen who came to have Ebony and Pyjamas arrested. But during the battle the eldest of the Fauna was destroyed by a stray blast causing the other Fauna to want to wipe out all Mobians. However, Knuckles managed to convince them against this idea before returning to his journey back home. A few months later the memory-wiped Super Sonic came to Ebony’s coffee bar looking for a job and despite protests from Pyjamas Ebony accepted him. But things turned pretty nasty when Biohazard was sent from Special Zone by Lord Sidewinder to recapture Super Sonic. When he began smashing up The Groovy Train Ebony used her magic to distract Biohazard while Pyjamas formed a ‘Mind Link’ with Super Sonic. This link brought back Super Sonic’s memories along with the knowledge that if he used his powers again he would turn evil once more. Lucky for the three Lord Sidewinder was caught by Lieutenant Furor causing Biohazard to be sent back to Special Zone. After this Ebony’s life went on as usual for the most part barring one occasion when Super Sonic used his powers to save a train full of people and turned back to evil. But Ebony and Pyjamas managed to combine their powers and prevent him from destroying the planet, turn him back to normal and then fool Sonic into thinking the energy readings Kintobor picked up from Super Sonic were just a malfunction. Her final appearance in the comic was when she brought a dying Super Sonic to Chaos in order to absorb the Chaos Energy that would save his life. But once all this energy was absorbed Super Sonic changed back to his evil self leaving Ebony with no choice but to combine his mind back with Sonic’s like it was originally.

Ebony Hare is out to make money and doesn’t care what he has to do to get it, even if it includes killing someone. He had his own scientist develop a sauce filled with “lemon sundrop dandelion” poison in it and caused those who had too much of it to get sick. However, in small doses, it made those who ate food with it want it more so they would buy more of the food. Ebony’s biggest supply of the stuff was sent to Happyland Amusement Park, which he semi-took over from Renfield the Rodent after the Chaotix were hospitalized (from eating the food in the park) since it made the Echidna Security Team very suspicious. Unfortunately for his sake, it didn’t stop Remington, Julie-Su, Espio, Mighty, and Vector from ending his operation and landing him and his cohorts in jail.

This is the main city for finding echidnas outside of Albion. Originally part of Downunda, until a comet was spotted that could have destroyed it, it is now the main city of the Floating Island. It’s played host to various fights between the Dark Legion (aka DL) and whoever was the current Guardian at the time (and Brotherhood behind the scenes). The most notable known altercations that occurred inside Echidnaopolis were Steppenwolf versus the DL during the DL’s creation, Tobor versus the DL when Echidnaopolis was in its zone (explained next), and Knuckles/Chaotix/Constable Remington/General Stryker versus the Enerjak-led DL. For about the past 200 years, Echidnaopolis had been removed from the Floating Island and put into its own pocket zone due to radiation from a dingo nuclear strike. It only returned to the Floating Island thanks to Robotnik’s Ultimate Annihilator, which weakened barriers between zones and caused Echidnaopolis to return to its proper place. The downside was when it returned, it destroyed the dingo’s city so both the echidnas and dingoes have to learn to get along with each other in the same city.

The robot generator has supposedly become unstable due to the increased electricity being generated and needs to be shutdown before sunset or it’ll cause a massive explosion that’ll affect the entire planet. Sonic manages to shut it down, but becomes trapped in it as his bio data is scanned and eventually put in Metal Sonic, who was inside it.

Extremely intelligent, Eggman uses his knowledge and cunning to attempt to take over or destroy the Earth of the Sky though he’s stopped by Sonic all the time. Despite his smarts, he usually makes some sort of miscalculation that works against him in the end.

Prince Elias’ background comes from the far-off Floating Island. Way back before Robotnik’s coup, Queen Alicia and a toddler boy named Elias were carted off to a safe haven on the Floating Island. However, en route, they were attacked and King Acorn feared his wife and son dead. What was not known was that the convoy ships DID make it, but most of the crew died, barring Queen Alicia who fell into a near 10 year coma, Prince Elias, who remained unscathed, and one of the colonels under Geoffry St. John’s late father. Discovered by the Guardians of the Floating Island during that time, they took in the Prince and raised him. While the Colonel stayed at the Royal Compound on the Floating Island, where the prince went to live at the age of 10. The Brotherhood made sure to keep the Queen in stasis until she could someday be revived. Prince Elias thought his father died in the Robotnik takeover, King Acorn thought his son died in the Great War, and Sally – who was a child at the time – knew where neither of them were.

Ten years later, King Acorn found word that that the Queen may still be alive and after sending The Secret Service to the Floating Isle, they came upon not only The Brotherhood Of Guardians but Prince Elias and the comatose Queen Acorn as well. The Prince returned and was given the throne. However, he rejected this and ran away to start a family. During the kingdon’s recent troubles, and with his father comatose, Elias has reconsidered and become the current King.

Prince Emerson meet an overlander boy called Paladin who was roughly the same age as he when walking though the forest. They were having a friendly conversation as Paladin was showing Emerson how to shoot a gun. However, when Paladin chose a bird as his target, Emerson jumped in the way of the shot and was killed. King Theodore found Emerson lying on the ground and saw Paladin who was running away. King Theodore forbade contact with overlanders, who he felt had to be fierce and violent and also began the policy among Mobians of not using guns.

Emporium is a vast city where Queen Aleena had hoped to trap Robotnik. Full of snake charmers, jewel merchants and other traders, the bazaar is full of interesting and unusual people of every size, shape and colour. Queen Aleena had hoped to trap Robotnik using a special jewel that would give away a fake location for herself but Sonic, Manic and Sonia blew the trap not realising that their mother was behind it all.

Errol Blackthorn was one of the best swordsfoxs in the Nameless Zone. Errol as set to be Tails accomplice on his journey into the Land Beyond to rescue Shirob the third Enchanter Kings. On the journey Errol learn that Tails reputation was a sham and his honour decreed that he had to expose him to the Enchanter Kings, however by the end of the journey he decided to keep the secret to himself after Tails saved his life. When Trogg kidnapped the other Enchanter Kings Errol went to the rescue but Trogg transformed him into a monster. When Knuckles defeated him Shaman Warpfull had him clapped in the strongest stocks in the Nameless Zone until they could cure him.
Errol returned a long time later alongside his sister Morian as they attempted to free the Goblin Overlords.

Espio is quick and strong, and loves freedom. He has an intense drive in everything he does – when he runs, he charges head-first and doesn’t look back. Espio is an even bigger showoff than Sonic, and almost as fast, matched in speed only by Mighty and Sonic himself. His hot temper often leads him into rough situations, and his friend Charmy Bee sometimes has to remind him of his manners.

Espio values his freedom above all else, and holds a grudge against Robotnik for trapping him in the Combi Confiner several years ago. It was when Knuckles rescued him from the machine that Espio joined the fight against Eggman to protect Carnival Island.

Espio’s lashing Tongue Attack can whip the hardest of Badniks into shape, he can charge right through badniks at top speed, and his whirling attack – a tornado version of the standard spin – can leave any opponents spinning their heads! His unique ability to run along walls and ceilings can get him out of any tight spots, and he can also change his color at will to blend into the scenery.

Espio The Chameleon is often quite reserved and his past is a mystery to all except maybe Knuckles….Espio the Chameleon is quick and strong, and has an intense drive in everything he does. Nothing is known of Espio’s past by anyone, but it seems that he lived a normal chameleon’s life, until he met Knuckles. Then his world was flung upside-down with all the things he had to help his newfound friend with. But Espio has stayed a loyal friend to Knux and the other Chaotix. Espio’s lashing Tongue Attack can whip the hardest of Badniks into shape, and his whirling attack can leave any opponents spinning their heads! His unique ability to run along walls and ceilings can get him out of any tight spots, and he can also change his color at will to blend into the scenery. Espio is very secretive in nature and kind of short-tempered just like Knux. He’s serious a lot, but is willing to be friendly when he has too. Espio is a vital member to the Chaotix. He can often be found with the rest of the team in their adventures on the Floating Island but when he’s alone, he likes to hang out in his invisible treehouse home in The Rainbow Valley.

Sporting tinted shades, a leather jacket, and black shoes, Evil Sonic may look like a hokey villian – but he’s EVERYTHING Sonic is: only meaner. Basically a punk, Evil Sonic is the type that commands trouble at every second, and if no trouble is there – then he goes out to cause trouble just for the heck of it! Sonic usually manages to outsmart him if the two aren’t beating each others brains out in a speed filled fist fight – but every time that Evil Sonic has come back: its always with a new twist! Leader of the Anti-Freedom Fighters, Evil Sonic terrorizes his universe’s Mobotropolis constantly, while that areas Doctor Robotnik, a kind country doctor, can only sit and do nothing. The Anti Freedom Fighters are his personal “goon squad” and together they have even travelled to Sonic’s own universe to wreak some havoc. At one point he went as far as to ally himself with the real Doctor Robotnik, which only resulted in him making a permanent enemy out of his rival – The Anti-Knuckles!

But his biggest evil was none other than allying himself with The Robo Robotnik – the Robotnik from a parallel universe that would eventually come to be known as Robotnik Mk II. Stealing an artifact called “The Giant’s Hand” from an area in the Cosmic Interstate known as the Nuetral Zone, Evil Sonic was partially responsible for Robo Robotnik’s invasion of the various Sonic universes and his ultimate decapitation!

Because of Sonic Prime, SU Sonic, Sonia, & Manic he was captured and held in a prison cell under the watch of Zonic. He’s a bit slippery, throught, and he escaped twice. The first time, he went to Mobius Prime, where he was recaptrued thanks to the efforts of Antoine Prime. The second time, however, he went to his own zone, where he got into a conflict with Anti-Antoine. Anti-Antoine was switched with Antoine Prime, and then Evil Sonic saw how good this was so he switched himself with Sonic Prime and caused trouble briefly.

Fabian Vane was once a famous pop star in Metropolis after Robotnik was defeated who hired Amy and Tekno as bodyguards after being attacked on stage by a “fan”. After more of his “fans” started attacking the girls found out that they were really out to get Fabian because he owed them large amounts of money for writing his songs, designing his clothes, plastic surgery, etc. Fabian was forced to pay them all back and lost his popularity once people realised he was a fake. He tried to get his fans back later by staging being kidnapped but again was exposed by Amy and Tekno.
His other attempted comebacks included the haunted house gig in which he successfully demolished an entire building. Several of his remaining “fans” suggested that he go around the universe and share his “talents” with other worlds and they found the perfect vehicle in the Ring of Eternity. Fortunately for Fabian Amy, Tekno and max Gamble were returning home from their round the universe tour and stopped Fabian from doing anything so stupid. Suddenly the fans turned nasty and attacked Amy and Tekno and in an attempt to grab Max Gamble the Ring of Eternity was smashed. With their plans foiled the fans returned home and Fabian was forced to help Max Gamble repair the broken Ring before he could do the same.

Every Rogue’s Gallery needs its wild card and Fang fits the bill exceptionally! Not much is known about Fang the Sniper, whom holds the “honor” of being despised by everybody from Sonic and Knuckles to Doctor Eggman! Fang loves one thing, and one thing only; the incredible driving force that we call cash. He is known to double cross anyone at any time, and would stab his own family (assuming he has one) in the back for a profit! Like all the antagonists, he’s got his eye on those shiny stones they call the Chaos Emeralds; but unlike the rest, he’s not after the Emeralds for their awesome power (of which he has no clue), he’s more interesed in the gems’ apprasal value.

Also known as Nack the Weasel, Fang is a freelancing bounty and treasure hunter who will work for whichever side pays him more, but most often he’ll just be working for himself. He knows every trick in the book, and a few that aren’t. Though he may be clever, if there’s anything he isn’t, it’s quick. He gets around using a speedy little airbike called the Marvelous Queen, but he can also leap to lofty heights using his long tail as a spring. He has a spiffy little popgun too!

These trees have the ability to speak, thus making them the representation for all plant life on Mobius. Although there is a group of them it is usually the Mystical Elder Tree who is relied upon to make decisions for the rest. At least up until the Elder tree was accidentally destroyed by a missile during a protest. After this the remaining Fauna wanted to erase all flesh based creatures from Mobius but Knuckles explained to them why this would be wrong and suggested they act in the same way that the Elder tree would have. They used this advice to remove the threat to their forest and continue living in peace.

Serving underneath the auspices of Mammoth Mogul as his personal enforcers, the Fearsome Foursome first came upon the scene when Mogul reintroduced himself to the Chaotix as one of the Ancient Rulers of Mobius. Each one given thier own special powers, The Foursome are more than willing to carry out thier orders whenever necessary and are always ready to dish out whatever is commanded of them! After near-succesfully impersonating the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix respectively thanks to Mammoth Mogul’s manipulation of Chaos Energy, The Foursome were finally brought down when each group figured out what was going on after all the confusion! Since then they had remained jailed up until Robotnik’s break out of the Prison Cells at the Devil’s Island Gulag. Wreaking havoc with Snively as current commander along with Warlord Kodos, Arachnis, Drago, and Slueth Dog – the Foursome helped out whenever necessary in the attempt to take back Mobotropolis from the Freedom Fighters, by kidnapping Nate Morgan. Afterwords, they were roboticized and apparently destroyed. They have apparently returned in flesh form since the Xorda conflict, only to be turned once agian into Robots by a mysterious, unknown entity.

Sergeant Simian – The leader of the Fearsome Foursome, Simian most likely hails from the warlike Guerilla Camps of the Great Mobian Jungle (Sonic #45). Armed to the teeth with grenades, guns, and anything else in his arsenal, Simain posses the power of strength and is often the first to question any orders given to him.
Predator Hawk – The second member of the group, Predator Hawk is most likely the tactical man. Skilled exceptionally in the powers of flight, Hawk is quick, agile, and very skilled at flushing out his opponents from hiding. Hawk is a sort of “wild card” of the group and is also one of the most outspoken, usually putting out his comments whether needed or not.
Lightning Lynx – The third member of the group, Lightning Lynk is the only member of the group that could probably go toe to toe with Sonic – Lynx was blessed with the power of Super Speed! While he is certainly not as fast as Sonic, he can certainly run rings around anybody! Lynx is basically the show off of the group, seeming to be impulsive in action, but will take any order given to him.
Flying Frog – The fourth and final member of the group, Flying Frog is the goofball, and you can tell it by his expressions, right down from the Buck teeth and long face to the slack jaws, Frog is the groups comic relief. Flying Frog does not “fly” per se but most likely uses the flaps connected to his arms and legs to soar against the wind currents sort of like what Knuckles does with his dreads.

Feist was once an underling of Ixis Naugus who resided in the Zone of Silence. Sonic first encountered him when using Doctor Quack’s machine to enter King Max’s dream about his time in the Zone. Not much is known about Feist’s origin, but it has been revealed that he actually despised Naugus.

When Super Shadow and Turbo Tails sealed all of the universe’s Chaos Emeralds in the Zone of Silence, Feist, the only living being in the Zone, used the Chaos energy to reshape both the Zone and the Emeralds themselves. The Zone of Silence became the Special Zone, and the thousands of Chaos Emeralds became seven Emeralds, each of a different color.

Feist can apparently monitor Mobius Prime from the Special Zone. Because he has seen Sonic combating Naugus, he considers Sonic an ally, and granted him one of the new Chaos Emeralds. Feist also warned him that the next Emerald he asked for might not come so easily.

Several years ago, Fiona was among many other Mobian prisoners at an unknown base controlled by Robotnik. She met Mighty and Ray (who were also prisoners) who attempted to help her when a robot guard said that “other plans” were in store for her. Eventually the guards put down their rebellion and while Mighty and Ray were put in separate cages, she was taken to Robotnik himself. Sonic, who was infiltrating the base at the time, freed Mighty and Ray and the three tried to rescue her. However, when things didn’t go according to plan and Ray mysteriously disappeared, Mighty started destroying the place by lifting machines like they were sheets of paper. Robotnik abandoned the base during the confusion and took Fiona with him.

Robotnik made a robot duplicate of Fiona and then left her in a cell to rot. She managed to dig her way out after awhile and she met Nic the Weasel. The two became friends and stuck together until a recent run-in with Mighty. Fiona is currently residing in Knothole City and has joined the Freedom Fighters as a member of both the “Brain Trust” subdivision and the regular combat team.

Fiona’s grudge against Sonic eventually turned to respect, admiration, and eventually romantic feelings for him. Only after Fiona and Sonic began dating did Fiona learn that Tails had a crush on her. Despite the fact that this has strained the relationship between Sonic and Tails, Fiona does not seem to care about Tails’ feelings at all. Fiona and Sonic continue to date and are often seen together.

Who is Fiona Fox? Was she a real fox once that was used as the basis for this Robot Duplicate, or is that all she is? It’s unknown at this time…After the fiasco with Princess Sally and Geoffrey St. John, Doctor Robotnik deemed his newest creation – The Auto Automation’s “unusable” due to their instant rusting upon contact with water – a fault in the metal and production. However, there was one chance that he could not look up. tails – frustrated over being treated as a kid by the Freedom Fighters – decided to run away and came upon an island populated by a single fox named Fiona. What he didn’t know was that Robotnik knew of his “argument” with Sonic and decided to manipulate it to his best ability. Creating an island that was ACTUALLY a roboticizer, and using Fiona as bait, Robotnik planned on capturing tails and roboticising him once and for all! Tails developed a love for for Fiona, not knowing what she really was, and upon her taking him to her den, she trapped him in the roboticiser as Robotnik revealed his plan! Tails managed to shed enough hair by twirling his tails and clogging the combines. The roboticiser exploded and Tails escaped, but afterwards Fiona let loose an all out attack – and would have drowned him had the rusting of her metal not immediately taken place…Tails escaped alive and discovered plans to load of shipment of weapons to Crocbot. Determining to prove himself to the Freedom Fighters, he left to stop it, but not before saying his goodbyes to Fiona. And as Tails pulled away in The Sea Fox, a single tear fell from the eyes of the rusted robot on the beach where they fought. She still stands there to this day…

The Floating Island is a legendary island that floats high in the skies of Mobius and contains the Time Stones. Only Dulcy knew for sure that it existed (since Dulcy had bumped into it). Besides the Keeper of the Time Stones, stone statues were also obstacles for those who wanted to acquire the Time Stones.

Fly Fly Freddy was first seen in an abandoned shack outside Robotroplois assisting Sonic, Hamlin, Penelope, Arlo and others to rescue Tails, Sally, Bunnie, Antoine from an ambush of cloaked Combots. Not much is known about him but he was roboticized and under Sleuth Doggy Dogg’s control. He was totalled by Knuckles who stopped him from shooting Sonic when Sleuth revealed that he was a traitor and caused Freddy to be roboticized.

Fopadopolis, a city run by Mayor Fomfer is a huge city and sports many things to while you are there.

Believe it or not, The Floating Island is NOT the only place to find echidnas…sadly the Floating Island echidnas have forgotten the existence of “The Lost Tribe”. Centuries ago before the appearance of the Great White Comet threatened the echidna civilization of Downunda, the people were thrown into an uproar in a debate over how to handle the coming of the comet. While one side argued to use the Chaos Emerald technology to “uplift” a portion if the ground, another side simply ventured that they seek land elsewhere. Led by a radical called Arrakis, they took only the technology that was needed and fled the site only to watch while the Echidnas used the expirimental technology to uplift the newly christened “Floating Island” and barely escaping the Comet which exploded upon impact and shaped out the Great Downunda Crater. The tribe traveled as far as they could seeking out the fabled lost city of Albion, but as each step grew more weary the little technology they had fizzled out and the became the victims of Overlander attacks, hard luck, getting run off of land, and even later on into the years – Robotnik assaults. Similar to Guardianship, The Tribe is led by a “Mitre” with Athair being prophecised as its last one, but in his last days, Knuckles took command and helped them to finally locate thier lost city – almost a century later. The tribe has now been accepted into Albion, where they are finally happy and free from the dangers and hardships they once experienced…

The name of the planet that everyone lives on. It is split into two parts: the Land of the Sky and the Land of Darkness.

When Dr. Robotnik took over Mobotropolis over a decade ago, one small band of Mobians stood out among the rest as a major force to be reckoned with. Residing in Knothole Village and led by Princess Sally, Sonic, Tails, Rotor, and Antoine are the original members of this group of “rabble rousers” (according to Robo-Robotnik). Growing up together without their parents they are a tight-knit family of sorts in their own right. The main core of the team is Sonic, Sally, Tails, Bunnie, Antoine, and Rotor. The Freedom Fighters help out any Mobian in need and do anything to hamper and/or ruin Robotnik’s plans. Their mission is to defeat Robotnik (no matter the version) forever and to reclaim Mobotropolis and restore the Kingdom of Acorn.

Sonic – The one-hedgehog robot wreaking crew. The generally brash and impatient member of the group, but has a heart of gold. He embodies the fighting spirit of the Freedom Fighters.
Sally – The clear-cut leader and tactical mission planner of the group. She’s a skilled fighter in her own right and whose patience and diplomacy contrasts with Sonic, but it works well with the two since they trust each other when it counts.
Tails – The youngest member of the group and has the widest range of skills. Besides being a skilled fighter, he’s fast, can fly, and also has some technological know-how.
Bunnie – The strongest member of the group with her roboticized parts. She’s always ready to take on Robotnik and besides her strength, she can fly, has a plasma cannon, and can extend her robotic limbs
Antoine – The oldest member of the group who’s a trained swordsman and well versed in the duties of those who work to protect the royal family.
Rotor – The tech-wiz of the group. His only weak spot is handling computers, but most of the gadgets the Freedom Fighters have are courtesy of Rotor. Whether it’s Tails’ Sea Fox, Bunnie’s enhancements, or his own “Party-Hearty Quadra Sonic Rock n’ Roller,” you can be sure that Rotor is one behind it.
Amy Rose – A very recent addition to the group after “aging” a bit. Energetic and always wanting to prove that she’s just as capable as everyone else.
Dulcy – Dulcy isn’t around much, but helps out whenever Sonic “whistles” for her or she notices something isn’t going well. She’s more or less a Freedom Fighter in reserve.

Gala-Na is the leader of the echidnas of Albion as the head of their Echidna Council. She dreams of the day when all the echidnas of Mobius live in Albion and hates the fact that the Brotherhood ignores her pleas to bring the echidnas of Echidnaopolis back to Albion. However, in things that she can control, she will do whatever it takes to achieve her objectives. The High Sheriff, who most likely did not even know Albion existed because of Albion’s shields, was brought to be dismantled after Rob blew up his castle (though she didn’t intervene when the High Sheriff was roboticizing other Mobians) since she felt the High Sheriff posed a threat. Fortunately for Antoine who was trying to get his father back, Knuckles disagreed with Gala-Na’s position and allowed Antoine & Bunnie to escape with the High Sheriff. Unfortunately for Knuckles, by using his chaos powers to do it, he reinforced Gala-Na’s fear of his powers so she attempted to have Knuckles’ powers removed from him. The process was interrupted by Charmy & Safron who couldn’t believe that echidnas (that aren’t Legionnaires) would be hurting Knuckles. So in the end, all she accomplished was to enrage Knuckles and to cause his powers to increase even more.

In the modern Mobius after the downfall of Robotnik a new age of enlightenment reached the populace in the shape of Cookery Programs. A relatively new program entitled Pizza the Action was hosted by Galloping Graeme who was chuffed to bits to have Tails as his first celebrity on the programme. Unfortunately whilst displaying his Chocolate Pudding Surprise Graeme’s pudding started swelling until it flooded the stage and Tails had to rescue the audience from “death by chocolate”. After the crisis was sorted out Graeme thanked Tails before being accosted by the two skinny llamas who blamed him for sabotaging their show, and then several more who had been ruined by mushy peas being put in their oven gloves… A food fight erupted but Tails soon noticed that one chef was missing, Gerry Corfu was nowhere to be seen. Graeme and Tails headed over to Gerry’s show and ruined his “half baked plans” to become the Numero Uno chef.

The Gamma Spectrum Visualiser is capable of examining ancient objects and working out their exact structure and composition. Sonia’s professor used it to determine the nature of some ancient artefacts which turned out to be dangerous weapons.

The Professor

It was never confirmed if Gemerl was actually Emerl rebuilt or just a robot based of the original design. Either way Gemerl became Eggman’s right hand robot for a while and helped him fight Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Cream by transforming into various machines for different purposes. Like Emerl he discovered new moves every time he fought them and became more and more powerful with each defeat. Eventually though Gemerl betrayed Eggman and took to space with the seven Chaos Emeralds. Super Sonic and Eggman worked together to defeat him and reclaimed the emeralds. However Cream and her mother came across him abandoned and damaged on the beach and Tails rebuilt him to become a friend for Cream.

General D’Coolette is not only a general, but one of King Max’s best friends. He was the one who advised King Max to create a Rebel Underground, though it was not finalized before Robotnik’s coup and he was one of many who ended up being roboticized. As a Robian residing in the country of Mercia, General D’Coolette – known there as the High Sheriff – was one of Robotnik’s underbosses. Upon Sonic and Tails’ quest around the globe to locate Ixis Naugus, Sonic discovered him by complete accident. The General had no recollection of his son Antoine, Mobotropolis, or anything else of his past life – all he knew was his sworn allegiance to Doctor Robotnik and the “assimilation” of anyone that will oppose his will, even going as far as public hangings to get his point across, making him one of the more ruthless villians. Sonic and Tails – with assistance from Knuckles and Rob O’ The Hedge – halted his operations from his castle by blowing it up.

Sally later used the Sword of Acorns to restore the general’s free will, who is reunited with his son and now a fur-and-flesh Mobian once again. He is a General in Knothole Kingdom’s army, but his declining health has hindered his involvement in military campaigns. The source of his ilness is unknown, although it is likely that he was poisoned by Anti-Antoine.

Stryker is the leader of the dingoes who have fought off and on with echidnas for many generations (even before the Guardian/Dark Legion split). He can be hotheaded and is never hesitant to fight at a moments notice. While he doesn’t trust echidnas at all, he seems to sort of respect Knuckles after their fight and the fact that Knuckles wouldn’t let the dingoes automatically be arrested or detained for any reason. Stryker even assisted Remington in the fight against the Dark Legion and Master Mogul. However, Stryker is tired of waiting for the Council of Echidnas to make good on their promise for housing for the stranded dingoes–who lost their city when Echidnaopolis returned–and was in the process of leading a dingo rebellion in Echidnaopolis as the Quantum Beam was fired sending everyone on the Floating Island into an unknown zone. What happened to him afterwards is unknown.

He is extremely loyal to the kingdom. He likes Sally, though he hasn’t done anything blatant (only little subtle things) to get Sally to like him back ever since Sally told him that Sonic is the only one she truly loves. Always refered the Freedom Fighters as “Sally’s Trainees” or “Rank Amateurs,” he used to “tag along” on trips occasionally just in case the FF’s need his “expertise”. Geoffrey is actually good at what he does – now currently head of King Acorn’s Secret Service. He’s managed to tick off every FF from Sonic by accusing him of murder, to Antoine by accusing his father of being a traitor to the kingdom, and even to Knuckles by giving orders on his island! But the one person he shares a personal loathing for is Sonic the Hedgehog as neither of them can be around each other for less than 2 seconds without fighting like mad weasels! He resents this to all end and wishes one day he could have him out of his hair permanently to get what he wants – Sally Acorn – but due to the fact that he IS a good guy: which is doubtful – He’d never resort to those measures. Geoff also has a deep resentment for overlanders – it was overlanders who killed his father. So naturally he has VERY low thoughts of Nate Morgan – the latest overlander on the block…

Gerry Corfu was the best chef in Metropolis city, his sweet smile and audacious attempts to break records meant that he became the Numero Uno chef in town. Unfortunately, to stay there Gerry resorted to sabotaging other chefs shows, fortunately when Tails came to investigate he accidentally confessed everything live on show. He decided to drown tails in his record breaking “World’s Largest Trigle” but Tails span his Tails and squashed Gerry in his own food and thus preventing him becoming the King Cook.

Griff is the leader of the Freedom Fighters that live in Lower Mobius. The power that supports life in Lower Mobius was giving out and during a fight against the tunnel rats, he found out about the power rings the Knothole team has. Griff isn’t very trusting and instead of asking them for help with Lower Mobius’ power problem, Griff charmed his way with Sally so that he could steal the Power Rock. In the end, Sonic saved Lower Mobius by defeating the rats and Griff gave back the Power Rock. Sonic split the rock in half to help out Griff who was very grateful.

The Groovy Train is an uptown cofee bar in the Metropolis Zone, ran by Ebony and Pyjamas. The place was nearly wrecked when Super Sonic appeared looking for a job, but pursued by Bio Hazard who nearly destroyed the bar searching for Super Sonic. Fortunately Bio Hazard was pulled back to the Special Zone when Leutenant Furor caught Lord Sidewinder and Super Sonic became good frinds with Ebony and Pyjamas.

A robot on treads, Grounder is the second member of the SSSSSS (Super Special Sonic Search & Smash Squad) who with Scratch is constantly trying to capture Sonic. Having even less intelligence than Scratch, Grounder is easily bossed around and had to be a decoy in some occasion. Having a gadget for almost any situation in him, Grounder doesn’t have the slightest idea how to use them in order to capture Sonic. Grounder is also finding himself blown into pieces when Sonic takes care of Robotnik’s current plan.

The highest ranking officer of the G.U.N (Guardian Units of Nations) Federation Forces. He remained unshakeable as the Black Arms invaded, concentrating on saving the few areas he could as he tried to help the President escape. He is known for having a “heart of stone” and for thinking on his feet in battle.

He holds a deep hatred for Shadow, he later revealed he was a child on board the ARK when the G.U.N. soldiers invaded. He saw Professor Gerald creating Shadow alongside Black Doom. He long suspected Shadow was a traitor, working alongside the Black Arms but he was proved wrong when Gerald revealed he had created Shadow and the Eclipse Cannon to destroy the Black Comet. Apparently the G.U.N. commander wasn’t too callous to apologise to Shadow for making assumptions.

Harry was formerly a cabby in Echidnaopolis and was very happy with his simple life, preferring it to the militaristic life of following General Stryker. Full of street smarts, he was able to help out Constable Remington (as long as the parking tickets are taken care of & Remington “forgets” that he spoke with him) in terms of getting information about certain things happening in Echidnaopolis. However, like so many other things, Harry’s life has changed since the Xorda conflict. After Robotnik took over Angel Island and made dingoes rule the echidnas, Harry acted as a spy for the echidnas and has been quite useful to the good guys.

Hawking was the Guardian of the Floating Island when the Dingoes, life-long enemies of the echidnas in general, launched a nuclear attack on Echidnaopolis. Hawking used a dome shield to protect the city from the initial onslaught of the missiles, but the nuclear fallout threatened all life on the Floating Island. Using plans from Dimitri, he created the Hyper Zone Projector and placed Echidnaopolis (along with all other inhabitants of the Floating Island–including the dingoes) into pocket zones. While everyone was safe in their zones, the Brotherhood went about cleaning up the Floating Island and Hawking handed down the mantle of Guardianship to his son, Tobor. Eventually, Hawking returned all Floating Island inhabitants back to the Floating Island, except for Echidnaopolis and the Dingoes. Both returned thanks to the effects of Robotnik’s Ultimate Annihilator, which erased all life on Mobius for an instant and broke down barriers between zones. However, when Hawking did his part to save Echidnaopolis, he ended up in a coma, which he never did wake up from and eventually died.

A former member of the Chaotix – Heavy was created by Dr. Robotnik from special gems known as “The Power Gems”. Designed to search and repair systems that had been damaged, he is an exceptionally versatile robot – However, Robotnik built him too well. The gems he used to give Heavy (as well as his partner, Bomb) conciousness, also gave them conciences and free will. Discovering that they were actually tools for the mad doctor, they wanted no part of it and together they escaped from Robotropolis with the gems in tow and went to the Floating Island where they came upon the Chaotix and the imprisoned Freedom Fighters! Little did they know that another creation – the Metal Sonic, had followed them also – and NOW HE TOO was poweredby the gems!

When used, the Power Gems can accelerate metabolism so much that it can tun anything into a giant when used properly. So when Metal Sonic went on a rampage at Carnival Island – It was there that he turned into Super Metal Sonic, his gigantic large red form and threatened to stomp the Chaotix out of existance! Giving Knux a Power Gem, Heavy, Bomb, and The Chaotix watched as Knux gave the fatal blow that finally destroyed the Metal Sonic once and for all! Since then, they had tried to live a life of peace on the Floating Island but at the same time, wished to give back to the community that had accepted them so, which is why Heavy and Bomb relocated to Knothole and were members of King Acorn’s Secret Service.

Unfortunately, during a recentreconaissance mission to Robotropolis, Robotnik realigned Heavy and Bomb’s prgramming to his side, and they were assigned to sabotage Knothole and assassinate the royal family. They were stopped only at the last minute, and Heavy was sawed through by Sonic. Later, both of them were upgraded by Robotnik for an assassination attempt on Mina Mongoose, but this attempt failed and Heavy was defeated by Sonic.

Heavy was one of Dr. Eggman’s head mechanics. He allegedly escaped from him, along with his partner Bomb, to assist Knuckles and the Choatix protect Carnival Island, though it is possible they were merely spies sent from Eggman. No one ever knew for sure…

This trophy was presented to Sonic in the Metropolis Zone in a secret event held right under Robotnik’s nose. However Sonic managed to make it into the award ceremony wearing a disguise in time to receive the award and expose the dingo in charge as servant of Robotnik. Escaping an obvious trap he and Tails returned to the Emerald Hill Zone and waited, Sonic revealing that the Hero of the Year Award was actually a tracking device designed to lead Robotnik to his secret base, however Sonic defeated the robots sent after him and left the award in pieces.

While Hershey was forgiven by everyone for her accidental role in the near death of Princess Sally, the guilt from the ordeal still bothers her and she has never forgiven Drago for using her, especially since she thought that he did love her. Currently, she’s a member of King Acorn’s Secret Service as Geoffrey recruited her for the job. Her smarts and agility make her valuable in a fight, even though she hates any kind of precipation or water. Still, she might even have a little crush on Geoffrey as well.

Residing in the country of Mercia, General D’Coolette – known there as the High Sheriff – may not be the strongest of Robotnik’s underbosses – but he is the hardest case of them all. Please see the entry on General D’Coolette for more information.

After his mock trial Captain Plunder was sentenced to hanging until he was sorry, I mean dead. Captain Plunder spent four weeks waiting for the execution at the Highview Corrective centre, during the time all his appeals for a retrial were denied. As the reporter claimed at the luxurious prison Highview the emphasis was on rehabilitation rather than punishment. None of Highview’s inmates have ever re-offended, mainly because they hang them all.
Inside the luxurious centre Captain Plunder was hung by his arms next to Simpson the Cat and kept in the command of Mister Gullets, however when Plunder learnt that Simpson knew a secret way out of the cell he used a mechanical device in his hook to break free. Plunder and Simpson escaped through the hole and defeated Mister Gullets before escaping through a tunnel dug by Billy Gulch. The prisoner had spent twenty ears digging it, but the day before he was going to use it they pardoned him and the poor guy never used it. Meanwhile Plunder’s crew, led by filch were coming the other way through the tunnel, and Plunder and Simpson hid from the crew not recognising who they were in the dark. The crew reached the prison, found no Plunder and were promptly captured, all except for the ghost Filch who escaped by walking through the wall…

Hope was two years old when the overlanders left Mobius after the Great War to search for a new home. While they travelled in space, she was in “coldsleep” which allowed her to learn about Mobius’ history. When the overlanders returned to Mobius because of their power source being drained, she was the first one to see Sonic and was scared of him at first. Like the other Overlanders, she trusted Robotnik at first. However, she always felt he was hiding something and one day ran into a roboticized Mobian (though she didn’t know that at the time) which scared her. When Robotnik revealed that the Overlanders were all being exposed to hazardous chemicals, he showed Colin, Agnes, and Hope that he was a robot and roboticized both Colin and Agnes. Hope escaped, but when she was surrounded by Shadowbots, Sonic and Sally rescued her. After spending time in Knothole, she realized that Overlanders and Mobians are not that much different. Knothole is the most beautiful place she’d ever seen and has been allowed to stay instead of going to Station Square along with the other Overlanders.

Anyone familiar with Superman’s nemesis Mr. Mxyzptlk , the reality warping imp from the fifth dimension, is bound to get a field day off these two. In a deliberate spoof on Superman’s “greatest foe” – Al (The Short one) and Cal (The Tall one), are the epitome of annoyance in Sonic’s universe. A group of troublemaking imps, Al and Cal hail from an area called the Unknown Zone and basically: all they ever want to do is play! They can warp reality with a single thought and it usually relates to nothing but complete confusion for Sonic and Tails. Either playing practical jokes on each other or thier victims or just spreading a little mischief, Al and Cal are basically screwy from the get go. However even they were not able to escape the madness that was the Ultimate Annihilator. When the massive nuclear powered weapon exploded “killing” Doctor Robotnik – it caused the buffers between Zones to literally break down, resulting in the creation of new ones, the destruction of old ones, or the mutations of other ones. The latter is what happened to the Unkown Zone – and when Sonic and tails were dragged into it yet again, they came to find that the dimension had now reverted into a complete warzone with a “roboticiszed” Al and Cal permanently locked in war: the complete opposite of thier previous incarnation. Sonic and Tails, after wearing off the effects of the zone on themselves, managed to escape without harm, but for right now Al and Cal’s dimension is still “World War 3” and whether or not they managed to change the effects that the Annihilator had on the zone and themselves, is still questionable…

Ice Pick Peak is an extremely high mountain that is part of the key to ultimate velocity and is an extremely dangerous mountain to climb.

This story just happened to have oh so many similarities to the TV Movie Star Wars. The Insectra Empire are virtually based on the Empire from that series, and Dark Visor on Darth Vader and so on and so forth…

Led by their emperor Dark Visor the Insectra Empire has a goal to take over their galaxy and end the ten thousand year war they have against their rival planet The Blurrgh. However, no one actually has any idea what the war was about in the first place and both armies are too crazy to call a truce. They kidnapped Shortfuse and brainwashed him into obeying their commands to try and win this war, but Amy and Tekno managed to track down their lost friend to free him from them. During this battle The Blurrgh shot down the Insectra Empire’s ship causing them to land on a planet called Kaamdaarn, home to a spiritual and peaceful race. Because of the flow of energy on the planet the two empires’ weapons couldn’t function forcing them to give in. Both races then agreed to live peacefully together on Kaamdaarn after this.

Isaac is a mysterious robot described by Tails as a “Gamma lookalike.” He was discovered in asealed chamber by Shadow, who then awakened him. Isaac was created by a design team led by Ivan Kintobor. His hardware and software were designed by Professors Clarke and Niven respectively, about 12,000 years prior to his awakening by Shadow. After the Xorda bombed Earth, Isaac ensure Ivan’s survival by monitoring him while he was in stasis.

Isaac was told to collect historical data, and he witnessed many important events in Mobius’ history, such as the conquest of Mammoth Mogul, the rise of Echida Civilization and the foundation of the Kingdom of Acorn. Becuase of his explanation of his background, the freedom fighters were able to learn valuable historical information about Mobius.

After Robotnik “died” in the Princess Sally ordeal – many of the smaller villians came out of hiding to effectively test thier mettle. Ixis Naugus however – is NOT a small time villian…Whereas Robotnik is the master of technology, Ixis Naugus is the master of sorcery….Ixis Naugus is a sorceror extraordinare. In the time of the Great War, before the coming of Robotnik, he was the royal wizard in Mobotropolis during King Acorn’s rule. But before Robotnik came along – another overlander had graced Mobotropolis and his name was Nate Morgan. Nate had used his science to in effect create Power Rings – a new clean source that worked off the powers of the Chaos Emerald. Using this new technology, King Acorn and Nate Morgan ushered the Kingdom Of Acorn from a medieval state and into a technological golden age! Nate was declared a hero, Mobotropolis was rebuilt and rechristened “New Mobotropolis”, The Power Ring was declared the official “Fifth Element” of Mobius, and Naugus became horrifically jealous…With technology replacing magic in the Kingdom Of Acorn, Naugus was no longer needed and felt quite threatened. Using the already high “Anti-Overlander” sentiment growing in Mobotropolis and his ability to manipulate the minds of other people due to Black Magic, Naugus formed a pact with Warlord Kodos – Robotnik’s predecessor and framed Nate for the murder of various animals that were assaulted by a troop of Overlanders. Nate was acquitted, but banished himself from the kingdom, and Naugus was safe. Then came Robotnik….Naugus created a new and strange dimension called the “Zone of Silence”. With war raging, Naugus decided to explore and become master of the “Zone of Silence.” Eventually Kodos, Uma Arachnis, Feist, and even King Acorn pledged allegiance to him as Naugus reigned supreme. While, King Acorn was rescued from the zone by Sonic, Sally, and Geoffrey, Naugus continued his reign. The everything changed when Naugus, Kodos, and Arachnis escaped via one of Rotor’s probes almost 11 years later after Naugus entered the zone. It was then that Naugus met Sonic and announced his plans to annihilate the Acorn Kingdom, destroy his objective – Nate Morgan, and absorb the raw energies of the Power Rings so that he can control ALL 5 of mobius’ natural elements and take his place as ruler of Mobius! After a bit of globe-trotting, Naugus has finally been returned to the Zone of Silence, but no one knows if and when he’ll be back.

The Emerald Hill Folk fled to the Mushroom Hill Zone after the Death Egg was destroyed to keep them safe. Not long after arriving their peace was interrupted by the arrival of an Eggrobo which was running out of it’s Internal Electronic Power Supply and needed a new source of energy. Sneaking through the darkness the Eggrobo attempted to snatch Jake through an open window and was interrupted by villagers. It blasted off into the sky and when the villagers looked into the bedroom Jake was gone…. The villagers called for Knuckles who hunted down the robot in the Lava Reef Zone, but before he could smash it the robot was consumed by flames and Knuckles assumed Jake was dead. In fact when he returned to give Jake’s mum the bad news she explained that Jake woke up before the robot grabbed him and hid in the closet, he heard a lot of shouting and was to scared to come out. Knuckles was comforted and left relieved that the Emerald Hill Folk were safe again.

As the daughter of Sojourner, Janelle-Li was the first (and currently only) female Guardian of the Floating Island. Her husband died shortly after Athair was born. As inhabitants had finally been returned to the Floating Island after the Brotherhood spent years of cleaning up the nuclear waste, she raised Athair on her own for his eventual Guardian duties. When Athair reached the age of 9, Janelle-Li “abandoned” Athair for Haven. However, when the Ancient Walkers brought Athair to Haven and she was made aware of the fact that Athair was needed to be Mitre of the Lost Tribe of Echidnas, she took upon the mantle of Guardian again–leaving Haven and the Brotherhood. When she was going to die, Athair refused to leave the side of the Tribe, but Sabre, who was around 7 years old, went to Floating Island to continue the Guardian tradition.

In terms of Extreme Gear Jet is more than Sonic’s match. He, out of everyone knows that it doesn’t matter how fast the hedgehog is on the ground, in the air nothing can stop him. His talents have earnt him the unusual nickname; “Legendary Wind Master” and made him leader of the Babylon Rouges.

Although he won the Extrene World Grand Prix he did so only thanks to Jet who sabautaged Sonic’s board. The pair put their rivalry aside after Doctor Eggman released a powerful Genie loose in the ancient temple and the pair never actually managed to have their final showdown to proove who was the best, although Sonic did appear to come out on top. However, Jet promises that if they meet again, things will be different.

Johnny, along with Tails and Porker accompanied Sonic into the Special Zone to learn the truth about Robotnik’s and Sonic’s history. When they returned to Mobius some time later Johnny joined them to form the beginning of the Freedom Fighters. Johnny was strong and silent and became the group’s dependable back up, the handy man of the group. He was a capable fighter, a trustworthy friend and completely lacked an ego of any kind. Johnny’s disguise in the Bob Beaky parade was as a strongman with a twirling moustache, which he thought made him distinguished. When Robotnik was defeated Johnny disappeared for a while, visiting his gigantic family, rabbits apparently have a lot of siblings.

When he returned he betrayed the rest of the freedom fighters and captured them as they tried to invade Flickies Island. He revealed that he was in fact the mysterious Agent X who had been helping Robotnik back into power. This wasn’t the real Johnny though but a copy called Shayde, from a shadow world who had done a deal with Robotnik. When Shayde sent Sonic back to his world Sonic freed Johnny and they escaped. On their bid for freedom they destroyed the black gem that allowed the shadows to exist and returned to their own world where they confronted a very angry clone who disappeared as soon as Johnny touched him.

When fighting Chaos the group realised they were against an impossible foe. When Porker arrived claiming to have the machine to destroy Chaos the gang thought they had won but one of the cables wasn’t connected and Johnny leapt to connect it. He was hit by Chaos moments before he was dispersed. Sonic thought they’d won, except that when Johnny didn’t climb to his feet he realised something was wrong. Johnny Lightfoot’s death triggered an emotional backlash in Sonic and it soon transpired that he hadn’t even managed to defeat Chaos; he had given his life for nothing…

Johnny wasn’t forgotten, when Chaos was defeated and the sky cleared Sonic was sure he saw Johnny smiling down on them from the heavens.

Julayla was Sally’s mentor and the closest thing Sally ever had to a real mother growing up. She trained Sally in her eventual duties as Princess-in-exile. When Julayla died, she left a chest full of items for Sally. One of them was a blue vest, which Sally now wears along with her boots. Another thing item in the chest led Sally on a quest. That quest resulted in Sally finding a scroll that said “To thine own self be true.” Sally doesn’t quite fully understand the real meaning behind those words yet, but will later on–if the future with Sally reigning as Queen happens to come to pass.

Jules was the first one ever to be roboticized. He was severely injured in a battle during the Great War and his brother, Charles, used his new invention the Roboticizer (which no one knew had been tweaked by Warlord Julian) to try to help heal him. With his free-will gone, he was a servant of Julian/Robotnik for 10 years until Charles gave him his free-will back using a power ring. Eventually, reunited with his wife Bernie, they both made the decision not to tell Sonic about them being in Robotropolis helping in the resistance until Robotnik was defeated. Now that they have finally met Sonic again, Jules finds it hard to be the father he feels he should be to Sonic since Sonic is so used to confiding to Charles and Sonic is usually hoping to talk to Charles instead of Jules. Jules gives Sonic his space and is always supportative of him no matter what.

Julie-Su is a mystery to everyone, even sometimes herself. Hesitant to share her past with others – the only thing that is known for sure is her connection to The Dark Legion – The mercenary group of Pro-Techno echidnas currently led by Dimitri! Formerly one of the Dark Legion’s greatest warriors, Julie-Su left in search of Knuckles. She seems to have a smart-alecky attitude towards anyone and everyone, and though she is as tough as the appearance she puts on the outside, if you get to know her – she can be a good friend. She has joined the Chaotix’s cause reluctantly – due to the fact that she’d spend hard time in the Echidnaopolis jail if she didn’t, and only once reverted back to the Legion – mainly to keep herself from being killed by Kragok and Enerjak. However Knuckles and The Chaotix gave her something she never had before – true loyalty and friendship… Her loyalties may not be as obvious to Vector The Crocodile – who doesn’t trust her one bit, The Brotherhood Of Guardians – with the exception of Locke who put in a good word for her – who thinks there’s more to her than meets the eye, and her ex-Dark Legion compatriots – who have branded her as a traitor, but as far as Knuckles is concerned – She’s fine enough for him.
