Tails manages to break his way into the building to try and help Sonic, who is getting beaten by the Metallix. The fox calls his friend over and when the Metallix follows he gets crushed in a large metal door. A Prosecutor turns up to get Sonic back but he takes it down and finds out that under the robotic bodies Drakon are actually fish. The Emperor says that since Sonic defeated the Metallix he won the trial and is free to go. But before leaving Sonic tells him that as long as the Drakon Empire works with Robotnik they’ll be his enemies.
“Hero of the Beachâ€

While Tails protects a new holiday resort called Skegpool against the possible threat of a badnik attack from Flickies’ Island some Mobians talk about how much of a hero he is. One person however, Daz Dynamo, doubts Tails is a real hero at all. Aware of Tails protecting the beach from the sky Robotnik sends some Caterkillers to attack from underground. Tails manages to fight them all off and sends the remaining waste from the Chemical Plant Zone down the hole straight into Robotnik’s base. Daz then decides that maybe Tails is an “Okay dude†after all.

Amy and Tekno meet Johnny Lightfoot while taking a walk in the Emerald Hill Zone and ask where he’s been for so long. Johnny says he’s been away visiting family and while they’re talking about old friends Amy wonders where Shortfuse The Cybernik has been. Tekno says she’s been working on a machine that can track the frequencies of the circuits in Shortfuse’s armour so they go to test it out. A holographic image of Shortfuse appears and they notice he has something weird stuck to his armour, but before they can discuss this more the machine malfunctions and transports the girls to another dimension. They reappear on a space ship where a group called the Insectra Empire attacks them. After managing to escape one of the group comments that the Destroyer will get them, and this Destroyer turns out to be Shortfuse, who is an enemy now!
