While Amy fights them off Tekno goes to her underground workshop to fetch a device she’s been working on that creates multiple holograms of her. Since the Badniks are only after Tekno they start firing at the holograms and end up hitting each other. In a change of plan Robotnik orders Tekno to switch off the device and hand it over or Amy will suffer the consequences. Tekno decides she can’t risk Amy’s life and hands the device over. Robotnik plans to use the device to create multiple images of Badniks to force people to obey him, but it turns out it can only create images of Tekno and is useless to him.

After defeating more Badniks a TV screen showing Robotnik tells Sonic that the conflict between them will continue unless they can reach an agreement. He tells Sonic to meet him on Sky High Peak tomorrow with no tricks and no weapons so they can have a peace talk. When they meet Robotnik offers to leave them in peace if he can have control over just one zone, but Sonic tells him that he wants to protect every zone so he won’t accept the deal. This is when Robotnik reveals himself to be a hologram and has implanted a plasma ray cannon on the peak that will blast it apart so fast not even Sonic would have a chance to escape. But after the explosion it turns out Sonic is also a hologram projected from Tekno’s workshop and the two come to a slate mate ending the transmission.
