"Robotnik's Revenge – Part Two"
Writer: Nigel Kitching
Artist: Richard Elson

Massive and well drawn fight scenes ensure as Sonic, Tails Johnny must fight Robotnik inside their base whilst Porker protects the Ring that he stored the Kintobar computer on. When Knuckles arrives they manage to turn the odds back on their side but there's still a minor army of Badniks following them. When the durst clears Robotnik has escaped and Knuckles leaves on a flying egg that Robotnik left behind and Sonic and co begin their charade as Bob Beaky's travelling circus.

"Zonerunner And The Flock – Part Four"
Writer: Nigel Kitching
Artist: Roberto Corona

Nutzan has Tails cornered yet again, but the canny young fox crushes him in an electronic door, decapitating him and causing him to retreat. Whilst this is going on, The Flock re-secure the toxic waste, thus saving the Emerald Hill Zone. Tails is hailed as a hero, but – as ever – receives only a dressing down from Sonic when he returns home.

And, as ever, the villain is defeated by pure dumb luck and the fox`s incompetence as he frantically tries to escape. If the purpose of these solo stories is really to see Tails maturing and developing an individual identity, then almost eighteen months into the comic's run would surely be a good point to see some signs?
