Sonic travels to the Chaotix Crew’s headquarters in the Special Zone via Omni-Viewer to try and hunt down Super Sonic, but when he tells the Chaotix about the dangers at hand they refuse to believe him and head off to New Tek City on Planet Meridian to deal with some problems of their own. After deciding to go with them Sonic gets caught up in a battle between two groups called “The Justice Brigade” and “The Discriminators” but it’s pretty difficult to tell the good guys from the bad guys. The fight ends with the police show up, Vector quickly informs Sonic that the Chaotix have a “little misunderstanding” with them and the gang run to escape through Omni. But Sonic hesitated at the last minute and ended up getting caught…

Writer: Nigel Kitching
Artist: Nigel Dobbyn

After making it across the ocean Knuckles is currently continuing his journey to The Floating Island through a forest. He stumbles upon a village and chooses to spend the night at a local tavern – although it turns out he probably won’t be getting much rest when he discovers the villagers are planning to sacrifice a young girl.

“Sneaker Seeker”
Writer: Lew Stringer
Artist: Roberto Corona

A kindly stranger gives Tails a pair of new sneakers as a gift for all the times he’s beaten Robotnik, but when Tails leaves to show them to Sonic the sneaker designer reveals himself to be Grimer!

As Tails walks down the street with his new footwear everyone is really impressed, though Tails’s limelight is shattered when a missile heads his way. After flying around for a while he realises that the new sneakers must have a homing device in them so he looks for a place to dump them. First he tries to drop them in the sea but a couple of dolphins remind him that there’s life in the ocean as well as on the land. So instead he dumps them on Grimer, who activates the missile’s self-destruct device to save himself. Even though the city folk don’t find Tails cool anymore he’s happy with the new found knowledge that he shouldn’t accept gifts from strangers and comfort is better then fashion.
