So then, who here's been reading the manga or watching the anime? I first discovered this anime years ago when I bought some bootleg dubs on ebay (lol) and fell in love ever since. I think the manga was at Waer 7 by that point with Sanji battling across the Sea Train to rescue Robin.

I've got to say, this series is my most favourite manga ever. I mean the characters are all so well defined and the story is impeccable. Compared to other, similarly popular manga like Naruto and Bleach it breathes a breath of fres air. Bleach is pretty much all training, powerups and sword fights but One Piece actually goes well beyond that with a deep storyline and whilst containing powerups, we don't have to sit through dull training arcs to reach them.

Character designs are ludicrously awesome, too. That old dude stuck in the treasure chest. Brooke. Franky's post timeskip design. My word.

So ladies and gentlemen, any thoughts on the series? Who are your favourite characters? What's your favourite storyarc?

For me my favourite character is probably Robin because she has such an interesting ability, it's just a shame we haven't been able to see her use it in any real major one-on-one fights. =( Also Zoro is extremely beyond gar. You know when he fights, %%%%'s gonna happen. Anyone been keep up with the manga and reading the Fishman Island arc? Yeah, him totally oneshotting that dude underwater was BADASS.

Also my favourite storyarc was probably Water 7/Enies Lobby. It took like, 3 years to tell but my word if it didn't define the entire series as just plain epic. You could feel the tension present throughout the entire arc and the payoff was simply incredible. Unbelievably well done.
