WOW! The story's already getting pretty intense there, this is actually pretty cool in a Chao-ish sort of way with some humor thrown in. Tickles me to see a "girl" Chao though since they're all able to have kids, but that's cool.

I'm going to see what happens next.

Neat! I didn't realize that Crackers was a Hero Chao until just now, after comparing him to the Devil/Dark Chao. Kinda subtle, but it's definitely there and would explain a lot about his personality.

What has happened to our two brave chao? Last we saw, they plummeted off a cliff into the ocean after being attacked by a gang of ruthless dark chao.

Nice. I particularly like the most recent page; the colours and detail in the background are intersting. I usually cop out on backgrounds so it's cool to see when effort goes into them.

The size of the text is a bit of a problem - I can't really make it out. Enlarging a picture just tends to make the text blurry. Might I suggest making the images a bit wider, or spreading out the text between panels? A good way of keeping text legible and size reasonable is to scan your stuff in big (like 300 dpi) then shrink it down to 600 pixels wide or so.

Also, you might want to check out Blambot.com. They've got some nice free fonts that, apart from looking spiffy and comic-esque, scale down well. Personally, I like the Digital Strip font.

Anyway, keep it up! I look forward to the next part of the story.

I apologise that I am not able to change the text on Part 3. The gist of it is Chrono and Crackers find themselves in a strange world. After climbing a tree, Chrono notices a building and so decides to investigate in the morning.
When morning comes, they set out for the building but hen they arrive, the guard is aware of their arrival.

Chao! Part 4 is on the way. I hope you are enjoying the story so far. Also, I would like to announce that there is a situation coming up where there is a number of chao present. I thought that if anyone is looking after a chao on Battle or whatever and would like their chao to appear in my comic then just submit a pic of your chao and tell me about his personality if you wish for him to be a specific type of character ok?
Just an idea. The offer stands till the 22nd of this month. Don't worry if I don't use your chao or you read this too late as I will be needing chao in the future.

Pretty cool comic. I normally dislike the use of color pencil or crayon in coloring, but it seems quite appropriate given the simplistic style of the chao.

I color in pencil because, to be honest, I am not sure how to color effectively on the computer and, like you said, I feel it works with the simplicity that is chao.

Anyway, here is the next part of chao. My inspiration for this part came from Ninja Gaiden. Please let me know what you think, especially about the close up of the sword.

NYUUU! Poor Chaolin! Is this the end of the leader of the Chaolin Monks? And how will Crackers and Chrono handle this situation?

Very cool. It's weird to think about, but using Chao as characters in a comic can be just as engaging as using hedgehogs or humans or whatever. Keep up the good work, the close-up of the sword I felt was well-timed and had that feel of adding the tension to the situation that exploded when they began to battle!

Yay another Installment of Chao! Personally I think this is one of the best comics I've ever seen posted on the internet. Please keep up the good work.

And, though mortally wounded, our brave monk Chao fights back! But the evil ninja Devil Chao runs away with the mysterious scroll! Can our heroes recover the scroll before the Devil Chao Ninja Clan use it to accomplish their designs for world domination?

Pretty awesome, now that explains the existence of both Dark and Hero Chao, and it sets up the quest our heroes are going on.

Keep it up! It was great to see such a rapid succession of updates, setting up the mystical past of all Chaokind.

And the plot thickens. Will our heros stop the resurrection of the ultimate evil or will all be destory? I'm on the edge of my seat and can't wait for the next exciting installment.

I've decided that to span chapters over two or more pages because, otherwise, the story will drag!

Our heroes set out on their journey to thwart the plans of the dark chao to ressurect Faranas! And they have had a very good start!

Wow, this gets more and more epic! Neat to add the part of them playing with the village kid, I thought that was a great touch, as it reveals that though our heroes are heroes, they are still young and it's fine for them to do normal things.

It's also interesting to see that the story is told from a narrator's point of view and the characters themselves never talk! Keep this comic up, as it's very good! ^.^

I just stumbled upon this topic and read through all the parts so far. I must say, very nice work. It's nicely written, drawn, and colored. The plot moves at a steady pace. I like the 'semi-extreme' angles of view in which each panel is drawn (for lack of a better description).

To my mind, I feel that their may be a wee bit to much burgundy. Also I'm going to cover this section of the story as quickly as possible (in terms of rapid submissions, not sloppy storytelling).

That's great, Emerald. You drew the action very well and I picked up everything that was going on.

But I have one question about the burgandy Chao. Was "Hun" just random name you came up with? "Hun" was an old nickname used for Germans in WWI. I only noticed it becuase we just finished studying WWI in US History. I'm probably just thinking way to much.

I thought the Deadeye vs Chaolin fight was kinda hectic though a little short.
I wanted this part to be emotional at the end. If there are any parts that don't seem clear just ask me.

It would seem that the battle with Deadeye didn't end in victory. So now, Chrono must take on the mysterious and deadly Blade! Only one may win this. This is for the right to enter the tournament.

Phew! That took a while to do. In needed to think about what was gonna happen and how I the hell I was gonna draw it.
I think submitting them like this from now on would be better. Will save people having to click on links and whatnot.
