- You're using .bmp with .png on the end. Use a program to make a true .png or .gif; they're much much smaller. IrfanView is free.

- The colours you choose for recolouring clash badly and are too bright. If you must use yellow, use a darker and less saturated yellow. Same goes for the red, too.

- It seems that you've gone off target with the flood fill or something in some areas, though I'm not sure because the image still hasn't finished loading, even on my 600k. Um...be careful with the fill tool? o.o

- In most cases, in your recolouring, you have ignored shading. When you recolour things, you're supposed to recolour the darker areas with a darker variation of your main colour so the object in question doesn't end up looking horrible.

HSW, thank you for posting that link...It has helped a lot! Shading? Yeah, I'm not a fan...but that's because I'm not very good at it.

Well sorry, It's just that I'm not the best. That was my first try, and I thought that wasgood for a first try.

Please, CxS, don't get m wrong, I find nothing wrong with these sprites considering it's your first try, and indeed, I knew this. It isn't what I was laughing at. Although, as has been stated, your currentent ability sprite wise is not awesome, it is faine for a first try, and with practise, and following of the reccomendations stated here, it will become good, even excellent, just watch the evolotion of Mega for example (Hey, I like the guy, I can plug him ;P )

What I was laughing at, was BW19whatever. His tendancy to jump into any topic where people have answered a request simultainiously irks and amuses me. He tends to attempt to hijack threads in which people have answered other's requests, and make requests in threads at any oppertunity.

My laughter in this thread came from his impulsive desire to request, combined with asking an extremly complicated piece of art from someone how is only just begining in this field of artistry.

Again, I hope you keep this up CxS, I ALWAYS look for people to improve, and indeed, I watch many people in Carnie Isle. But my laughter was at someone who was asking something of you, that in this medium, was currently FAR beyond your reach. (not to say it won't be within your reach in the future, but ATM...no.)
