Secondly, I am NOT writing this by myself. I'm coauthoring this with Silver, who'll probably be in this topic shortly yelling at me for posting ahead of schedule.

Okay, it isn't out yet, but screw it. I'll just post it in here later. For now, a teaser:

Teal looked up at the waiter and ordered a diet coke, too nervous to eat. Silver said to meet him here... She looked around again, scanning for him...She shook, feeling the weight of the gun in her lab coat pocket. She hadnt wanted to carry it, but Silver insisted on a weapon. It was a little Seecamp .380, ideal for keeping a weapon hidden, but not the best gun to useNot that she wanted to use a gun anyway. She hoped it wouldnt come to thatWhere is SX?

The kitsune in question was currently in the back offices of the restaurant, scanning video cameras

The SWAT commander looked in the window again, before he spoke into the earpiece radio. "Target in sight. Commence operations. At that, about a dozen "civilians" in the restaurant nodded at the confirmation, and one pulled out a flash-bang grenade...

SX saw the team immediately. [Censored]

It all happened at once. Teal saw the man at the table in the corner pull some sort of gun, and there was a loud sound and a flash, then she saw a figure lunge in front of her as she heard several loud sounds, gunshots

SX threw himself on top of Teal. He felt the impact of several rounds hitting his chest. It felt as if someone was taking a hammer to his solar plexus Thank God for KevlarHe raised his Emerald, standing up. Teal, stay down!

Teal found it easy to stay down. She looked up, saw SX, he was holding out an emerald, and what was he saying? She could barely hear after that flash, there was some sort of loud noise; all she could hear was ringing. She looked at SX, and at the Emerald.

The Emerald flashed, and the world went black

That's all ya get. Currently we have 26 pages written (Arial, 10 point) of the story. We're not finished yet, but we expect to be finished by next month.

It will be rated T/PG13 for violence and what would be considered strong language to this board. Brief strong language and violence.
