My main hack. Since I can't post a download link (you will just have to find it yourself, it isn't that hard) you all get a video. The idea behind the hack is that the little animals now HURT YOU. It got more or less approval at Sonic Retro.
Did you take the bouncey enemies on springs fro ma gamegear game or did you make that up? n___c?

Also you rushed into the boss. LIKE EVERYBODY. And didn't wait. LIKE EVERYBODY. The boss eventually slows down, as seen in the first post video above.
Assuming people are gonna learn the logic of your game all at once is kinda silly, GT - without nay prior warning, this is the normal reaction you're going to see from more players.. If it's really that common, EVERYONE is going to be playing by regular sonic rules and not the rules of the reality you craft in the hack - warnings and letting them know in advance or at least making some kind of differential from the norm helps to eliminate this - the boss looks far too glitchy at the end, and inspires not a great deal more than confusion and panic when those balls appear that way.
You're working with an audience who will always know nothing of your intentions at the start...treat them that way and give them some way to at least understand without looking at a video that most people will just see as an advertising of and not hints/tips. If everybody is making the same mistakes, it's because your hack isn't clear in it's objectives and bottlenecks them into acting that way...the only way around this is to fix or inform. Choose a method that works best and see it through!

But yeah. Way too hard huh? I am working on SOMEWAY to make it easier. Like a regular Sonic 1 mode or something. Or more shields. Or some kind of intro explaining everything. You know, so they don't tear their hair out.
I liked the design, sorta...but there was WAY too much green on that Pocky fields...and it saturated.
Honestly, no - This is one of the reasons I rarely play hacks anymore...I just can't really enjoy them as much - I mostly Walkthrough full games! 😛
Well the background DOES have a darker green.
Besides, it is grass.
