One person asked me "If you want SatAM back so bad, why not just animate it yourself?" The reason for this is not personal glory. Besides, I was constantly thinking "how am I supposed to do that?" Then I came across flash animation, and other forms of computer assisted animation, convincing me that it is more possible than I realized.

Now hang on, this is not another season 3 project. It actually takes place before, well, this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8erdNImhBU
Wow, if only more of us could see in this what this guy does.

So yes, this takes place during the great war. Like the series this is based on, there will be a lot of undertones. It addresses something that has the potential to divide the whole world. Even now it is doing a good job. Now imagine what would happen if a superpower had it's leadership had the government, corporations, religion, and the military all operate as if they were a single entity? Well, I don't have to use my imagination.

In addition, it addresses the topic of the use of robots in the military. Remember that before being the symbol of fear for the Mobians, the SWATbots used to be a symbol of hope. Does this mean that the UCAVs in development now will go from being symbols of freedom to global domination? Time will tell.

Basically, I want this to feel like a cross between 24, Star Wars, Star Trek, Halo, Black Hawk Down, Command and Conquer, Top Gun, Mechassault, and a few others I cannot think of at this time. Now I know I've been toting this idea for a long time. But I've had a really hard time trying to find animators for this project. Now I think I may know a way, all I need is the cash. Now hang on, I don't intend to make any money from this, if anything I'm LOSING money from this.

But yeah, I can use some of your help as well with some other things. What things? Voices, concept artists, backgrounds, you just name it.

Anyway, the central page for my efforts is here. http://great-war-club.deviantart.com
The ultimate goal here is for this to serve as the wakeup call SEGA needs in these times. It is to demonstrate the true potential that the western influences on Sonic the Hedgehog, and to drop the whole "love it then leave it" strategy. You know, the one where it is very popular and it causes your reputation to soar, then for no reason at all just throw it away or radically turn it into something that wasn't what it was known for? It's like being the best student in school and then deciding to get hooked on drugs. Make sense? Sure doesn't.

And by the way, my video addressing this is here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6IyZZDsn4M
