i'm not sure why people keep calling comics with sprites as a hoax, as they've got word balloons and so forth in them.
if you want it to be a hoax, try to make it look like it's a screenshot you've taken from an actual game. some people make really clever ones. give it a go!
as for the picture.. it's interesting. how did sonic open a black hole/portal?
Some of the words come out of the bubbles. we don't really know what happened, ex how sonic opened the black hole. that strange blue thing is really out of place. plus the black hole effect could use a little work. other than that good for a begginer, 4 out of 9.

I don't see anything bad about it. Do you mean that KBP should use getto sprites? I think not.
Well, the Sprite editing is mediocre at best, the ground looks warped, the black hole has pixels about 6 times bigger than those of the characters, the lines around it have pixels half as large, The background is stretched, the word bubbles are, as you put it, "Ghetto", the text spills out of the words bubbles, and the concept itself isn't that funny. Also he made spelling mistakes. Why bother to make a hoax(Read: single-page sprite comic) If you're not going to even spell-check your text boxes? On top of that, the whole thing reeks of "MSPaint Edit". THAT'S why he got a three out of nine, And I'm being generous because Lil' Kingy Pingy is my personal pet n00b.

I'd just like to say, I dissagree on that, I've done all my sprite editing on MS pain, and made a short one-panel comic,
and the people who saw them thought I did them in something origonally intended for that. o.O
But I agree with everything else everyone said. It could use some work, and... I can't really figure out where the black hole came from.
Really Silv? I use MS Paint too (but only 'cuz I can't affored more expensive programs like Photoshop.) The only thing I dislike about it is that shading takes so very long, I wish I had some newer software with decent color-blending tools.
Yeah, shading does take a bit long, but it's worth it in the end. Shading on vers circular objects with a bumb of some sort in them, when made from scratch kills though. I know this from spriting chao. x.x
