Owing to the circumstances involving my webhost being...not so good, and DeviantArt hosting all of my stories (@ tergonaut.deviantart.com ), there isn't a point to me using an ad-filled, buggy website when I can host it on Lighty's server, as he has graciously allowed me to do. And without further ado, I present it to you, updated and ready for public testing!

Me Likey You Pagey! Do you mind if I make a Tergonaut Sprite Comic with the Tergonaut Sprite Sheets? I'll post it here!

So, that picture of Justin Hobbes is where you got your avatar? Cause Justin looks cooool.

If you're willing to send me the pages first so I can review the comic before you post it, then sure.

And thanks; that pic is definitely one of the best I've gotten so far.

Um, wasn't there a game called The Hobbes? Or something like that? Cause... Isnt Justin Hobbes a video game character?

Nope, although that would be awesome. Justin Hobbes is the alter-ego of Tergonaut, my original character I made based on my screenname. If Tergonaut is Iron Man, then Justin Hobbes is Tony Stark, to use an analogy.

You can read up on his profile and many of his adventures at tergonaut.deviantart.com ; I recommend this since it's a good idea to understand the character if you're going to make a sprite comic based on him.

As long as Justin doesn't blow up Sega City, then a lot of us will be happy.

Terg. By comparing yourself to Tony Stark, I now hate you. With a burning passion.

Comes with the territory. Stark is pure and unadultarated evil. Therefore, so are you.

It was a vague analogy because Tony Stark wears a powered suit of armor; so does Justin. I haven't kept up with Iron Man in the comics so judging from stuff like blowing up cities and whatnot, that he has not entirely been the model of a modern Major General lately. Or maybe Craig always hated Stark.

I'll rephrase the analogy then; Justin Hobbes wears the omni-suit like Samus Aran wears the Power Suit.

...no wait, then we get people saying "Justin's a girl?!"

In one of the stories he was a girl, but that's beside the point.

Bottom line: Justin Hobbes is the secret identity/alter-ego of Tergonaut.

I told you Craig! I told you he was Stark! But you didn't believe me!

NOW IT'S STRAIGHT FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH

For an 8 year old like me a better anology would be "If Spiderman is Tergonaut, then Peter Parker is Justin Hobbes."

Wow, this is amazing. XD I didn't realize so many people hated Tony Stark.

Would it help if it was Ultimate Iron Man Antonio Stark? 😛

So nobody has noticed the completely unusual and unlikely picture that is on the guest art page?!

...or rather I bet no one wants to admit that they saw it. XP

And yes, after discussing it with Craig in the chat, I have decided to retract the Tergonaut - Iron Man analogy entirely. The only similarity between the two characters is that they wear a suit of powered armor. Justin Hobbes is neither a corporate fascist nor a drunkard. Plus he has cooler shoes than Tony Stark, so that alone makes Justin the better character. 😛

Combine Inspector Gadget's versatility with Samus Aran's sexy-cool Power Suit and you have the omni-suit that makes Justin Hobbes Tergonaut!

Bah. You shouldn't use Spiderman as a Tergonaut connection. That's just plain sloppy. He doesn't even wear an armored suit! (well except in alternate realities)

Nobody has mentioned Gizmoduck? Why of all things has nobody mentioned Gizmoduck.

Also, if he is indeed eight like he says...lets go back to the year that he was born. Hmmm...

To compare, I joined the Mofo late 2002, my sophomore year of high school. Was the first message board interaction I ever had. Lets see factoring in the math me being born on March 31, 1987 and being 20 years old right now bah whatever. Either way I remember I was young and naive at -that- age. So 8 is the new 13? I worry for the future, where 4 year olds have unsupervised access to the dangers of the unknown internet.

Also today's kid pop culture is scary, considering the direction it is going. I will not be swayed by "superstar young teen/teens of the month" I'm looking at you today's Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network/Disney

Seriously Disney, whatever happened to Gizmoduck? Or at least Launchpad McQuack?

More than half its programming has been replaced by Jetix and canned new Disney channel cartoons. :<

The only old stuff they play from the 80's/90's are Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Talespin, and Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers. Gargoyles airs at like, 4am.

Aww man, Gizmoduck! Totally forgot about him, but that was totally awesome. Still have the Gizmoduck origin story recorded on an old VHS tape at home. Duck Tales rocked the house; you can't beat a globe-trotting adventure for lost treasures starring an old stingy enterprising coot, his nerdy yet trendy Junior Woodchuck nephews, and a bumbling crashaholic biplane pilot. I mean that in the most respectful way, now THOSE were adventures!

Gizmoduck would be surprisingly relevant; his suit has functions and gadgets out the wazoo. Now that'd be the event of the year - Tergonaut versus Gizmoduck! But of course it'd probably end up as a tag-team match with them against Georgia Stahlmansche and Magica DeSpell.

At least those other old shows are still being played. Gargoyles especially. Rawk.
