As I'm getting ready for vacation, I'd like to get other people's take on this little project.
Last year, my little brother bought a stuffed toy shaped like the marshmellow candy Peep. I remembered the story my friend's mother's lawn gnome disappearing for two weeks and returning with photos. I joked around telling my little brother that we could take "Steve" the toy Peep around on our family vacation and take his picture at the various places we visited. We got half way there and realized we forgot Steve.
This year, I managed to buy 8 small Peep shaped toys at a post Easter discount and 16 disposible cameras and convinced a few other family members to help with this project. (Before anyone asks, I spent 50 cents per toy and and $1.50 per camera. The place that was selling was going out of business and they are name brand, Polariods).
I had a few unused pictures on my last disposable camera, so I filled them with Steve and the toys I am using for this project.
These are the eight toys heading on vacation. I let people choose which toy they want for the project. So far, the yellow chick, blue chick, and pink rabbit have been reserved. The purple chick has "sort of" been reserved, the person may or may not go with us depending if his other plans come to fruition. Two other people have said yes, but have yet to choose one.

Steve, the huge yellow one, my brother purchased at a Kmart before Easter in 2006. The Pink, purple, and blue chicks were bought after Easter in 2006 at Target, the rest were purchased this year at the same Target.
Only 3 other people helped me with the project, they are finishing up the rolls and mailing them to me. I'm currently downloading my pictures from the digital camera, I've only found a few so far. A few of my filled disks have gone missing, so I may end up with a few pictures. These three I had gotten in my camper while playing with my camera since I recently inherited. (The camper had sheared a few lugnuts on one wheel on an expressway outside Fort Wayne, a few others had left to find parts. I didn't want to leave the camper in the disappearing light.)

Ive got some good news and bad news. Good news is that I may have a few cameras coming to me soon, so Ive have a lot more new pictures.
Bad news is I lost my Peep pictures. I used my Sony Mavica camera, and it uses disks. I have purchased a few disk cases so dont destroy any disks while they sat in my purse. Each case held 3 disks. As I took more and more pictures, people kept asking to see the pictures. I kept my Peep disk in its own case. On the morning of July 27, I awoken with the new of the campground registration building on fire. I did get a disk full of pictures and kept them with my Peep pictures since people wanted to see them. As I was loading pictures, I noted that I was missing only those disks. I have picked apart my luggage, my familys luggage, and my camper. Im not happy that I lost my disk, but life goes on.
Edit: I can't get them to post other than little xs, and I have no idea why they keep reverting back to the wrong link after I re edit, so I'll just post the links.
Here are the only other two pictures that I have. This first one is from a visit to Horseheads, New York. The older generation went antiquing, we tried to find a bowling alley. (We found two, neither were open.) We had taken two vehicles, and both were pretty packed.

Thanksgiving News: I took my Peep with me on Thanksgiving break. I haven't uploaded all the pictures yet due to a hectic few days, but they should all be up by Saturday

Taking Spike would be an exellent adventure. I haven't named my Peep, I probably should.
I'm heading to Tennesse next year, and the Peep will be coming with. My family is still picking through places to visit, but a few cousins are looking for a haunted place nearby to visit. Assuming I don't find a memory card by then, any disk cases will be securly attached to my purse and my purse will be glued to my waist. (No more missing pictures this vacation.)
I've got a few more loaded to my camera. *More still to come.*

I've got a few new pictures. I was unable to get any new pictures with Christmas decoartion because my camera died in early December. I've not had the money yet to replace it because of a few major set backs. Hopefully the largest one will be fixed next week and I'll be able to get my new one about February 20th.

My cousin found Pinkie's buddy, and I just may take him with to Tennesse over my vacation, too.

I love your pictures! So Cute!
I ended up borrowing my father's mavica this past Friday for the snow pictures. I'm glad I did. On Thurday night/Friday morning, we got a few inches of snow and it was pretty well melted by Sunday because of the rain. I primarily wanted to get pictures of my new puppy while I waited outside.
That second picture! Now we all know the true identity of Acrio!

I've borrowed the other Mavica for a little while to help drum up a few pictures. A cousin of mine has insired me to make a slide show, similar to what he did with our vaction pictures. (Pinkie's in there somewhere, can you find him?)
