New stuff I'm working on...
Excellent work there, the high levels of workmanship bring out the two character's inner most beauty.
Nicole?
Yeah...eventually. Just been working on the papercraft model and working hinged prototype. Got alot of work ahead of me...
Update:
Okay got some work done on Nicole. I sanded down the rough edges and used wood filler for all the cracks and holes. Got some better nails to work as hinges. Cut a slot in the back for a belt clip. The clip itself is removeable.
Paint goes on tomorrow...
That.. is ridiculously AWWWSOME! Can't wait to see it painted.
Great job!
the painted pieces are prepped for polished placing.
I'm going for an ArchieSonic paint scheme. I always liked the two tone the comics gave her. Not the mulit-colored SATAM version. Buttons and videoscreen go in tomorrow.
i'm interested to see how this will turn out. ^^
Wow, looks cool. Why were there a bunch of them?
And to bump with an update:
almost done...ALMOST!
Wow, looks cool. Why were there a bunch of them?
Well, it's taken me almost two months to get to where I am now, and I had several made up so if I made a cutting mistake on one...I wouldn't have to go back to shop to get more cut. I'd just grab one from my pile and start again. Plus, depending on how many completed Nicoles I have left after this project is done...maybe there would be a few SATAM fans out there that would like to have one?
99.9% percent done on my first one so far...
Come on Nicole! In English!
God, that is pure sweetness. Awesome job sb!
And here she is...finished...
And here is Nicole "in the field"
Overall, I think it came out okay. I would have loved for it to light up, but that's another project entirely.
I'm probably going to be playing around with the color scheme for my next bunch of Nicoles...so I don't think I'm quite done with my Nicole project JUST yet.
Thanks for the comments, it's certainly a first...I've never seen a Nicole replica done...EVER.
Until next update...
Man, I want one of these! I think SATAM rocks!
CLONING PROCESS: 90% COMPLETE...
TWINS!
Tempting, but $25 shipping is a bit steep for me at the moment. If it weren't for that, I'd pick one up for sheer novelty value (after all, I have a rather nice fleecy blue sleeveless vest that other Sonic fans've commented on when they've seen me in it - at least before Sally had a haircut... ).
e harmony at it's best!
UPDATE:
here are some pics of my new GOLD Nicole.
Well, she is a princess after all...
"...but out here in the Great Forest, titles are meaningless."
Nice paint job. It's really easy to smear metallic paint when putting on layers, but that finish looks pretty flawless.
other then the slightly uneven buttons in some places, it's otherwise great looking! nice job on it.. the gold version is extra sparkly. ^-^
I've got some more updates...this one takes the cake, IMHO...
Behold, my HERO Nicole replica!! Warning, pic heavy.
It may look like my other Nicoles I have done so far...but thats not all! She's loaded with special features!! Check it:
Concealed Lazer
Radar Dish
Line In/Line Out Data Ports
Floppy Drive
USB Data Port
So yeah...that's my HERO Nicole replica. Sally would be proud...
I. Am. Done!
I am now 100% DONE with my Nicole project. I finished my last Nicole today and it is HERE if anybody wants it.
I'm moving on to other projects...next up: DEVO GUN
BTW, I also tackled another project during my Nicole build ups. While the glue and paint were drying, I recently completed "another" project of mine in which I wanted to see done. I had started this several years ago but only recently gave it the true attention to detail it needed and I polished it up real good.
Enjoy.
niice work! i wish i were able to make things like that, i'd attempt to recreate weapons from the PSO and PSU games.. ^^
They're all great! I'd like, buy them if I had the money, knew how to, and they were for sale lol
Neat!
Wow. I am impressed, especially with those extras like the ports.
Thanks for the comments. It's kinda off topic, but I finished the Devo Gun in the above picture recently...
