I spent about 5 mins on this picture. It's nothing great, and it's not my best effort. It's merely a test to see what I could do with Paint Shop Pro and MSPaint. Unfortunately, I don't have PhotoShop.

It's supposed to be of Radiant Emerald from Sonic R. I didn't know how to mix colors, so I had to use some different rainbow swatches to fill in.

Here it is:

I need as much advice as possible. If you're familiar with Paint Shop Pro, I'd appreciate any "technical" advice.

Thanks,
EE

Eh, you're right. I forgot those details, making tiles instead of rocks. =(

I need some Paint Shop Pro coloring guides/tutorials!

i used to use paintship pro, but that was some years ago..so i'm a bit rusty. what help do you need?

to blend colours, i'd use the blend tool (blend or the soften tool, i forget the exact name) to blur and blend colours together. i found it quite effective. ^^

Pretty good for a five minute job, though I'd suggest using the line tool in paint shop pro (Pen tool it's called, I think), instead of doing the lines in MSPaint to reduce the jaggedness of the lines, I'm not too good with blur tools and the like, but there are some interesting effects you can add with PSP (Messing with lighting, 3D effects etc.). Find them out and experiment, it's the only way to learn.

And as a side note, I prefer PSP to photoshop, apart from the fact PSP is a Laghouse, I think it's a lot simpler to use.

Thank you for all of the suggestions! I'll look for that blend tool.
