Yeah, as some (Read: Few) know, I draw a lot and write whenever I feel like it (Read: Not a lot)...I mainly draw for my stories and a few pieces of fanart but anyways, these are my latest drawings...
Bonus points to whoever can figure out who I had more fun drawing...
I'm also working on a story. I'm mainly rewriting it for fun...if it runs too long, I'll give a link...
"Marriage?!" Jessica yelled. She shook her head and paced around the room. Lena was sat in a chair across from her in the living room. Jessica stopped pacing around for a while and stopped to look at her friend. "I can't believe you are contemplating marriage to this man! You don't even know him and now you are just willing to give up your life for this guy who just happens to show up in our town! What are you thinking?" She asked.
Lena looked down at the ground. "I'm sorry that you are so worried but just think, he could protect our town from all those horrible things that have been showing up as of late! Why would I want to deprive the town of worthy protection because I didn't want to accept his proposal?" She asked. Jessica frowned and turned away. She looked back at Lena and sighed.
"You act like he's the only man capable of protecting this town. I know plenty of capable men, with more friendly terms," She said. Lena shook her head.
"You saw how easily he dispatched of those monsters! He is stronger than we could have hoped for and I am for one am glad that our village will be safe now," She said. Jessica shook her head again and began to head for the door.
"Yes but at what cost?" She asked. Lena shrugged and Jessica left the house.
Jessica walked up the road of the village and to the small inn near the center of the village. It had been several days since the prissy swordsman had showed up in the forest and saved Lena from impending doom. Jessie glanced at all the flowers sitting outside his window and she grumbled to herself. The door to the inn opened and the man stepped out. He had slightly long silver hair that resembled spider's silk. His crimson eyes seem to glow in the morning star. He wore no shirt but only low riding pants that clung tightly to his body and a large cape. He wore large gauntlets on his hands, gauntlets so smooth she wondered how he could hold onto anything. He walked over to her and bowed before her. "My lady. It is a pleasure to see you again," He said with a smirk.
Jessica restrained herself from kicking him in the chin and sighed. "Can I speak with you in private?" She asked. He shrugged.
"What is there to keep secret?" He asked and she groaned. Images of her kicking him in the shin ran through her head but she shook her head, as if to shake them away. "Oh, so it is very important," He said. She rolled her eyes and nodded. He nodded. "Then we can discuss it in the forest," He said, beginning to make tracks for the woods.
Jessica followed close behind and reached down to her waist where her blaster lay in a holster. She looked up and shook her head as he entered the forest, without a weapon. "Is he insane? The forest is still a hive of danger! How cocky can you get?" She asked herself. She shrugged and followed him.
They reached a small meadow near a stream and he sat down on a stump. He turned to her and smiled. "So what do you wish to speak about? You know a meeting like this could cause gossip," He said. Jessica tried her best to stifle laughter. The mere thought of being with him made her stomach twist. She sighed and then shrugged.
"Oh they always gossip but why are you here?" She asked. Maron sighed and shook his head. Jessica pulled out her blaster and pointed it at him, though it shook in her hand. "Listen, why do you keep dodging the question?" She asked. He shrugged.
"Why do you keep asking it? Why don't you trust me? Are you jealous?" He asked. Jessica shook her head. She didn't even know why she distrusted him but it all seemed too convenient.
"What do you expect? You come into the forest and somehow arrive there just in time to save Lena and now you have asked for her hand in marriage," She said though she found it hard to believe why she distrusted him.
"You seem confused. You want to hate me but then your mind is conflicted. You don't know whether to hate me or admire me. Some inner conflict prevents you from seeing who I really am," He said with a smile. Jessica paled and then began to pull the trigger. "Keep your head out of my mind!"
"Who said I can read minds?" Maron asked and she dropped her blaster. He suddenly lunged forward and snapped the blaster up before it hit the ground. He twirled it on his finger and smiled. "Such a powerful toy but why would they entrust this to you, someone who can't decide about anything? In the hands of someone that unstable, chaos occurs," He said with a laugh. Jessica glared at him but couldn't counter anything he said. She looked at the ground and shook her head.
"Just what do you want?"
"I want to marry Lena and settle down here. Is that too much to ask? Do you find it hard that someone would find her attractive? What kind of friend would you call yourself?" He asked. Her head hurt from all his probing questions and she began to back away. He reached out and grabbed her arm and when he stared at her, she nearly paled. "Any interference by you will be dealt with harshly. I'm sure you'd hate to see that happen, wouldn't you?" He said before letting her go. He pocketed the blaster and laughed.
Jessica left the forest with a throbbing head and a beating heart. She sat down on a stump and shook her head. Her shirt was drenched in sweat and she sighed. "I just need to get home. Better yet, just get away from here," She said. She felt someone touch her shoulder and she looked up to see Lena.
"Jessie, are you okay? You were talking to yourself again," She said. Jessica stood up and sighed. She didn't know what to tell Lena, she was so unsure of herself. Lena frowned. "I hope you didn't try anything extreme, like trying to slide down a steep slope on one of those giant leaves."
"Nothing like that. I just need something to drink," Jessica said. She looked to the cafe but it was boarded up and she sighed. "I think I'll go down to Trent. I need some time to think," She said. Lena sighed.
"Are you sure I can't help?"
"Positive," Jessica said. She saw Maron come out of the forest and she began to walk off.
Jessica left the village in such a daze, she was unaware where she walked and it seemed like she stumbled around for hours, even days. She eventually found a porch, a well lit porch in the middle of a city. She couldn't tell but it looked familiar to her and she sat down on it and eventually fell asleep.
She awoke and found a familiar face staring down at her. The young man was black with short black hair. He wore only dark sweats and slippers. Water dripped from his hair and fell on her arm. "Jessica? What are you doing on my porch? It's a little early to be coming by for a date," He said with a smirk.
She stood up and grumbled. "I'd rather get shot and have salt poured over my wounds before I go out with you," She said and he feigned a frown. She let out a sigh. "Honestly, I don't know what's with me."
"Are you still angry about that swordsman marrying Lena?"
She nodded. "Yes. I don't trust him and I have no idea why. Something about him just doesn't sit right with me but I have no reason to distrust him. He did save her and our village from a lot of trouble. I should be in gratitude to him," She said. She sighed and shook her head. "I just can't trust him! Even in my dreams, I see him doing terrible things. I know it's my mind coming up with fantasies because I distrust him but even that's a stretch! What is going on?" She asked. Jay shrugged.
"I don't look like a doctor," He said and she nodded. He sat down next to her and put his arm on her shoulder. "Maybe you could tell me more."
"I don't know and get your arm off me," She said, gritting her teeth. He smirked and put his arm down. "I don't know Jay. Maybe I am crazy."
Jay looked away and she frowned. She knew what he wanted to say but she also knew if he said it, she'd slap him. He began to whistle and then looked at her. "I think your concerns have some basis but don't do anything crazy."
"I tried to shoot him."
"Well there goes the not doing anything crazy part," He said with a sigh. He looked at the sky for a moment and sighed again. "I don't know but maybe you have some crazy sixth sense of something. I do think you should stay away from the wedding so you--"
"I have to stop that wedding Jay. You don't understand. I think something bad will happen to Lena if she marries that guy," She said. He folded his arms and she sighed. "I know it sounds crazy but I just know I need to stop the wedding but he also threatened to hurt me really bad if I tried anything funny," She said.
Jay nodded. "Well this guy must mean business. I'd say to wait first," He said.
Jessica looked at him and frowned. "You've got that look again. You seem to be hiding something. What do you know? About him? About me?" She asked. He looked away and shook his head.
"I don't know anything. Stop assuming things," He said. He smiled at her and she shook her head. She stood up and looked around.
"Well I need to get back to the village. How long have I been here?" She asked. He shrugged.
"I don't know. I haven't been out here for a couple of days," He said and she paled. He folded his arms. "What's wrong?"
"I just need to get back to the village. I don't care what Maron is up to, he just won't hurt Lena."
"You don't give up, do you?" He asked with a smile. She shrugged and stood up. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a communicator. "If you ever need some backup, just call. I probably won't be busy," He said. She nodded and took it.
"Thanks Jay. You still don't think I'm crazy?"
Jay smirked. "I didn't say that, now did I?" He asked. She glared at him and walked away. Jay watched her leave and frowned. He didn't think she was crazy at all and he knew why but would she believe him? I'll hold off on telling her yet but I better keep an eye on this swordsman
