I've been planning and partially making a Sonic the comic based game for quite a few years now. I've made a quite a bit of progress over the past few months but today I finished quite a few things and thought I would share them with you. Those of you who frequent the Sonic fan games HQ might find this a little familiar.

The below picture shows a few of the models ready to go in the first level. Those seeking more info can get it from my website www.stctg.co.uk. Thanks for looking.

Sonic the comic the game! Sounds great!

Caterkiller...does look a little weird but I'm an idiot so that goes to show how much I know!:lol

Couldn't keep up with Sonic the comic. Wish they woud release it again though that might actually sound a little too much. I understand there are a lot of issues.

Anyway, look forward to it's completion.">

Will Sonic the comic the game be playable from this site? I would like to have a go if it is. Make it a members only thing.

Coolsville, Twimfy. The plane in particular seems to have the same kind of "flavor" as the 3D work done in the non-cutscene parts of Final Fantasy 7, that's what the graphics style in general reminds me of. 'Twould be awesome to see a three-dimensional fan-made game like this.

Ok, a little more info: Its a 3D game based on the stories of Sonic the comic, everything you can see (especially the caterkiller) is in its early stages and I have nothing playable yet. As soon as I have issue 1 completed I will release a beta for people to play but that will be some time away.

I just thought I'd post my current results up to gauge the audience and interest.

Oh and I'm using A6 3D gamestudio by connetic, which explains why the models are so poor, but I dont intend to go any higher in detail, the comic has 200+ characters so I want to keep the work load down.

I'll try to keep this forum updated with news but if you dont see anything check my site at www.stctg.co.uk.

Thanks for taking an interest ppl.

STC, The game, YAAAY!

If you want to make the graphics really good though, use a
Simple 3D Modelling tool... I found one, but can't, quite, remember the name...

But it looks good. I probably couldn't model it.

*Blink* Is this based on the first 7 issues or something? Old Skool badniks appeared in the comic few enough times I could count with my fingers.

Either way, I'm very interested to watch the development of this :)

Will it be possible to play as Super Sonic and destroy things?

I plan to base it on issues 1-100 which is why everything looks so old school at the moment.

As for being able to play as super sonic and destroy things....maybe, guess you'll have to wait and see!
