It's an intriguing story and I very much like the detail level of your art (which obviously takes a great deal of dedication and reminds me of early Other-M), but I think that you're misrepresenting it in calling it a re-telling of what we already know about Sonic and friends.

In that respect, I didn't expect your original character rather than Sonic to consistently be the main focus from the first scene onwards, and Sonic to either have to be constantly seen in relation to her or from her perspective, or used for exposition of how special she is.

Sonic isn't the focus here. I'm not trying to criticise because it's your story to tell and nobody else's, and I'm interested in where it's going. But I'd be careful how you describe it, because so far this AU isn't about Sonic at all. We haven't actually seen him do anything.

Okay, thank you for the advice. I'll restate my description of the comic since Ballad does seem to get slightly more screen time than Sonic. In terms of what I meant by retelling, not all of the characters share the same backgrounds as their comic/game counter parts such as "Bunnie Rabbot" working with Robotnik and Scratch being lethal. But I do understand what you've said and I'll keep it in mind for the next comics I make. Thanks again ^^

I knew what you meant and I like the idea of different origins and plotlines for the canon cast members - I've seen it done before and I'm always curious about what each individual writer wants to do (especially when it comes to things like making Scratch and Grounder serious threats ).

Again, it reminds me of an early Ian Flynn fan project, and I'm interested in seeing your ake on it.

^^ I do my best. Just as the people that come to this site, I'm a big Sonic fan and have been since both the first game and the first cartoon way back when. In fact, I don't even know what got me into Sonic in the first place, all I remember is constantly watching,playing, and reading Sonic stuff. I will point the story more towards Sonic as most things involve him more then Ballad, but getting to know her is very important to the story as well so I've make sure to balance things out as well as getting the other characters in. I'll be honest, I'm not sure about some of the character re-design's (particularly Rouge and Vanilla). And the original character seems to be dominating so far. But it seems to be building into something good.

Yes I admit my way is a little...revealing... I usually draw things along the lines of having it aimed towards older people and the same goes for this. These are my original characters that I draw for a web-comic I'm doing called "World Gates" http://foxclawwg.deviantart.com/gallery/#WG-Characters and some of them are more mature than others. Nudity usually appears in World Gates, but I don't plan on showing stuff like that in the Sonic comic as far as actually seeing breasts or private areas. But characters like Sally and Sonic who hardly wear clothes to begin with will remain that way. Thanks for your input though and I'll work on Ballad more.

The badniks look cool, especially the armadillo bot on the cover.

The designs of the female characters are, umm, err, how do I say this? Ditch the eyeshadow to start with. It always looked silly with Rouge and Bunnie, and due to the way you shade it in B&W it's even more extreme here. Rouge and Vanilla in particular are disturbing.

I kind of like how you started of with Sonic being defeated to get the rivalry going. Robotnik could use a better reason for letting him go though.

Thanks for commenting. I can try to lighting up on the eyeshadow, but characters like Vanilla who has a fur color change around her eyes needs it. If there anything else that I could try to fix, feel free to let me know ^^

Whoa! Heck yea! This is awesome! I lve the little side notes. *full of himself* But Tails...umm WHAT! The poor fox boy. I love how alot of the characters from various universes are being thrown into the mix. Very nice, my friend. And dang...Robotnik packs a punch/slap, huh? He's no joke. xD!

I usually don't care much for fan-fiction, but I'm starting to like where this is going.

Main character seems a little overdeveloped. As if she's already been through her trials and is at the end of her metaphoric journey. By that I mean ready to face whoever it is her nemesis is. That's not a BAD thing mind you, just that I'd rather see how she got to this point. THEN watch her wreak havoc on the baddies like a hell-borne phoenix. :3

End of the day though, one of the better piece of fanwork I've seen for a long while, man. The fact I'm posting somewhere aside from the RP Guild should testify to that. It's not often one person can draw AND construct a storyline with any semblance of plot development. Well done my friend. *bow*
