Greetings!
For many months, I have been working on what is possibly going to be the greatest fancomic. It's in celebration of Sonic's 15th Anniversary.
The script is mostly written, and it's approximately a 60-page comic. (Yes, that is very large.) It's about Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles' adventure to Angel Island, while Patch, the Anti-Antoine plots revenge against the kingdom of Acorn. It's based from the Archie Sonic comic series. Unfortunately, my penciling talent is poor, so I need to request an artist or two.
I plan to have the comic finished by June 23, 2006 (Sonic's 15th Anniversary,) so, that only leaves about 4 months. I'm hoping the artwork can be finished in roughly 2 months. That's probably not a one-man's job.
I'll be needing about 1 or 2 pencilers, and I'll need you to ink your work. I'll also need a digital colorist to assist me with the work. I'm fairly skilled with digital coloring, but I use Jasc Paint Shop Pro, which has limited features, compared to Photoshop. Once this is done, I'll add the textbubbles. Following that, I'll print and distribute the comic to friends, as well as upload it and post it around forums, and other websites. This is being created merely for entertainment. NO profit is being made from this; it is not to be sold.
If you are interested in penciling this comic, you can reply to this topic, or email me at EthanDavis2010@hotmail.com
Be sure to include samples of your artwork, to help me make a decision.
I don't have much time to put this together, so if you're looking to apply for a position, make sure you're relatively serious and dedicated.
You can ALSO contact me by AIM'ing me. My screenname is EthanEmerald.
Thank you for your time,
Ethan
Some samples of what I draw like can be found at p072.ezboard.com/fsonichq...4141.topic
(which I need to update =S) or at Crimsondarkwolfe.deviantart.com
Currently working on some more Sonic based samples for ya, but I gotsta go out soon.
Hmm, I don't know. Call me pesimistic or whatever, but I find it doubtful that, even with two artists, you'd be able to get a 60 page comic done in 2 months.
Just a thought.
I've got more applications than you think, Pach. I've got 4 right now, to be precise. Mr. Darkwolfe is one of the best artists that've applied, I'd say.
I surely hope this'll work.
Ah, well, best of luck to you, then.
Hey, Crim! I tried to send you an email, but it failed. I did send you a message to your EZInbox, though. Check it out!
I'll have the illustrators posted, soon!
Got it ^^
Yeah, that email account is Loooong dead.
I'll be happy to do any scene, but I'm not familiar with some of the characters, so I may have to badger you for references/information. But I'm sure I can grab most off the net.
All right! I sent you your 8-page script! Let me know how the pencilling and inking goes!
Thank you very much for the help!
Thou hast been emailzored!
Just a question. When you want these pages sent to you, what size would you want them in (width and height values) and is there a certain amount of kbs you'd want them to be restricted to?
Just as an added note, I haven't recieved the script about Locke and the Nanites at pachamac0@hotmail.com
I have emailed you pages 28-31, Pach!
By the way, CrimsonDarkWolfe sent me the first page already; his art opens up the comic. To keep it constant, I should keep all other artwork equivalent to his dimensions. I may have to resize certain things, but his first page is 1912 * 2632 pixels.
Ah, and no need to shade. Just pencil and ink! I'll take care of most of the shading in Paint Shop Pro!
Thanks!
OK, speaking from a position of authority, you are very unlikely to get that much art done in 2-4 months unless you have a lot of artists (and fast ones). Four will not be enough unless they are ungodly fast. If I were you, I'd be prepared for it to come out later than June.
Actually, I have six helpers, now.
The knew Stc-O is up? HOT DAWG!
Yes, I just read it! That was beautiful! Congratulations, Mr. Ellis!
Yeah there could be possible delays no matter how many artists you have, people have lives, and you never know what's going to happen in 2 to 4 months, but I wish you the best of luck.
