the 'rust' on the floor of the firest entryway seems to just stand out too much against that blue. perhaps if you added in some more greys to show that it's a metal floor? the second one has a better texture. apart from that, not bad. ^^
Dang, these are good BGs. I specially love the snow-covered bridge. The only small critic I can think is the mountain view is a bit smooth looking. A rougher texturing might be a good idea.
You already know my critique on most. The Control room is too empty, I'd say add a bunch of random smaller monitors under the large one. And more buttons. It's too...neat.

And then a handful of sprites. First thing you should know--I have built SSC around HATING dresses/skirts. So two of these are made out of jokes with friends.

Awesome. That background reminds me of the peak where you meet the Star Spirits in Paper Mario.
