As the bright skies, blue seas, blistering sun all list their fury
One man makes his way through this path, all but surely
As the mysterious moon, dark skies, black sea seek salvation through the wastelands of tomorrow
Another sets his feet through the damned villages as he is to be named hero of past sorrows
Despite each mans shortcomings, neither has failed
As a hero of their own right, despite what war cries each has hailed
The man who fights for right can only find conflict within the boundaries of the night
And in the heat of the day, warrior of the night sees only misunderstanding with the forces of light
But as the sun continues to glow, and ambitions seek only to grow, nothing short of epic is this fight
As the two meet, they shortly greet, and then they prepare for battle, as the sun and moon continue to spar
And as forces collide, all that is seen is chaos and despair through the monsoon as they slash through painful scars
And as swords clash and crowds watch in awe, unknowing of whom became victorious, only the most miraculous of events could have taken place
When the crowds took a look through the dust and smoke, unaware of who they had just looked at; the most miraculous kind of face yet!
With only one surviving, it would appear he were the victor, but alas not!
It appears that this individual had not even fought!
During the battle, the sun and moon finally became one!
So one must assume , that fighting has come to none!
But no it seems, as the shadows of the light and night overwhelmed this new person, just seconds after his creation
This person had hardly existed, and yet had already become damned, what kind of folly is this machination?
So now here is his resting place, The Valley of the Damned...
And here lies his grave, The Warrior of the Damned...
Yeah, I got inspiration for this by listening to "Valley of the Damned" by Dragonforce, but just inspiration, I came up with this poem by myself, so don't say I ripped them off or anything. Now, what do you think? I still think something is missing from this thing...
A very poignant poem. I enjoyed reading it.
Thanks. Any thoughts by anyone else? Any way to improve this or my style?
