gnome
OT: Well, why don't you start?
Troll (Opposite of gnome, methinks)
OT: Well... lets discuss the meaning of Kayla`s name! Apparently it means "Who is like the lord?" in Hebrew according to this.
toll
OT: Well, I know that Kayla is the name of one of her fan characters though I have no idea if it's her real name or not.
boll
OT: Kayla is purely a fan name. It popped into my head when I was creating her. My real name is Rachel, which means "ewe" in Hebrew. Which is really neat considering that in the zodiac, I'm Aries who is represented by a ram. If I'd had made the connection earlier, I'd probably be a sheep instead of a hedgehog. It's also rather weird considering that my real name and my primary online persona's name are both Hebrew. o.o
foil
OT: Your real name is Rachel? Cool!^_^ Anyway, a Hebrew name is sa good as any and it sorta gives it a biblical spin. My first name is Samuel and I reckon it is of Hebrew origin. It means asked of God and makes sense as my mom was praying for a boy when she was pregnant with me!
spoil
OT: My sister's name is Rachel. =D And the other one is Naomi.
And I'm Isaac (it means laughter). My mom likes biblical names. *shrug*
boil
OT: Yeah, Biblical names run on my dad's side of family.
toil
OT: Well, I'm named after my dad and my aunt named my dad and I have no idea why she named him Samuel Ray so meh!
work
OT: Similar case with me. I was named after my mother's middle name.
spork
OT: Cool!
fork
OT: I also found out last night that my aunt has the same middle name as me. Spelled the same way too.
Mork
OT: My mom called her grampa Ike all her like and didn't realize it was short for Isaac until after she'd named me.
Kirk
OT: Don't be ashamed, you should be proud! You're named after the Son of Greil who isngle-handedly destroyed Texas, lol.
Dirk
OT: Meh my name is Kyle and I have no earthly idea what the hell it means in anything (if any)!
smirk
OT: Untelling, some names have no traceable history, I would suppose anyway.
irk
OT: According to Behindthename.com, Kyle is a Scottish surname derived from the Gaelic word for strait or channel.

OT: Well, you learn something everyday don't you.

OT: I frequent that site a lot when I'm trying to come up with names for various fan characters. It's a pretty informative site.
silk
OT: Huh, I look at the site for the meaning of Ray and they didn't have one, but I've found out from a name tag in a Bible bookstore that Ray meanings kingly which would make sense seeing as the Spanish word for king is rey and I'm sure they have the same origin, probably Latin.
satin
OT: Is Ray your given name or is it an abbreviation?
Latin
OT: Ray is Ray and not short for Raymond or anything else. But again, I'm named after my dad and I don't know why my aunt choosed to call my dad that; however, my dad goes my Sam. The bad thing though bout having a name starting with R is that I have a speech problem where my Rs sound like Ws, kind of a Elmer Fudd thing going on!
baton (as in Baton Rouge)
OT: I think that's cute.
Raton
OT: What cute that I'm named after my dad or that I sound like Mr. Fudd?
Latin
OT: Both.
Caption
OT: I'm named after the NASCAR driver Kyle Petty!
Capsacin
OT: Both.
