Too bad, I said no clouds. And saying the post was stupid is definetly clouding.
Saying that the post was mostly funny but that two of them were stupid and then explaining why was clouding?
Because it is. It's unneeded negativity. Go re-read HSW's post in the moderation changes. We're trying to make this place happy.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.

I don't know what the post said but this sounds way overboard if Dirk posted what he just described. A better way to deal with a negative post is to reply in a diffusing way.
I made a silly post and said I didn't want negative opinions aka (Clouds will be eaten).
He posted that the thread was stupid and probably slapped "Some were funny" at the end.
I deleted it.
If it was wrong then I guess that crackdown on negativity was BS.
~Rico
My understanding of the crackdown on negativity was to avoid people just saying stuff like "This sucks" without actually explaining what it was they found disagreeable, or otherwise not properly and logically explaining why they thought something sucked. I.E., if it's just an opinion thrown in with no real discussion value, that would be more into that territory. But if someone agrees and thinks something is funny, but then points out things they didn't like and why, that could be more useful for discussion purposes.
I'm just going to take a page from Vec's book and not do anything from now on.
EDIT: See if i'd left in it there it would have turned into what happened to Marauder's post. Of course you bozo's AGREED with them that a freaking joke email was MG material so I don't know why I'm trying to explain anything.
As it was it turned into a fun thread and not a buncha, "That joke sucks, you suck, whine whine" like Dirk's post entailed. But if you don't mind those topics then tell me now so I can quit trying to cut it out.
Cause then I can go back to snipping at people and condescending to them for fun. Of course I'd get in trouble for it.

You seem to have a different interpretation of what Dirk said than he did. This doesn't change anything. You were doing the right thing in making a joke topic. I just said that diffusing is better than deleting most of the time, and isn't that the strategy that you tend to employ anyway?
Bolded to emphasize positiveness BTW. This is not a big deal.
Ah, ok, sorry. Work drama weighing on me there. Well that and for some reason your opinion means more to me than it SHOULD.
I can't be sure, but I think "Clouds will be eaten" was edited in BEFORE my post.
All the rest of the stuff I feel like saying is probably irrelevant.
EDIT: aside from

Honestly, I don't think it's working. And I apologize if that comes off as cloudy, because it's just my observation based on personal experience. I don't mean it as a bash or whine.
I'm trying my damnest, but I'm rapidly getting VERY frustrated. Like just a few moments ago I chat, I said something like "I have a belly button" and our resident cloud says, "Know your place and leave."
Then Bat does it to someone else?
See how frustrating it is? If I say anything they'll claim it was a joke. *sigh*

*GASP* You DO?!
yeah, wanna see?
is it an innie or an outie?
This forced positivity sucks!
*fleeeeeeees blowing raspberries all the way*
Use the Force, Luke.
...and smile about it!
You never see Darth Vader smiling, do you?
You never see Darth Vader's face, period.
You do once =.
You do once =.
And he's SMILING.
Arguably, by that point he was Anakin again.
If you go chronologically, yes.
But if you go by movie release, then he was Darth Vader BEFORE Anakin.
Therefore, Anakin is still Darth Vader.
Soooo, Chronologically, he was Anakin to Vader to Anakin.
Releasologically, he was Vader to Anakin to Vader.
Logically, I think think he was playing the oaky kokey with the universe.

The what?
Don't worry Psx. I have absolutely no idea what are they talking about.
** pats Psxphile's shoulder **
I'm pretty sure "oaky kokey" = "hokey pokey", only horribly mangled.

Um Okay What? I wasn't talking about prequels, I was talking about the end of RotJ.
Just as Obi Wan asserts that he once ceased to be Anakin and became Darth Vader when he chose the Dark Side, one could argue that by renouncing the Dark Side he ceased to be Vader and became Anakin once again. "From a certain point of view."
