You can see them working in the post preview, but when they are actually posted on the board they disappear. I talked to Falcon on the chat and he said he has the same problem to me without asking him beforehand. Turns out we have the same version of Firefox (version 2.0.0.16)
Falcon also says embedded videos won't appear in his IE, which I haven't checked myself yet. Like I said before the videos seem to only go haywire when posted on the thread itself, even working fine in the preview textbox. Who knows if this thing will fix itself or go away by tomorrow or something. Just wanted to give the heads up if anyone else has been having trouble.
I think Lighty mentioned in irc chat that he's blocked the embedding of videos.
People kept on posting/abusing autoplaying embedded youtube videos, therefore this puts an end to that nonsense.
tl;dr- good.
Still, there is a little flaw.
1. Embedded videos still work in Safari, and most likely all the other non mainstream browsers.
2. Why leave the post looking like the poster is crazy? Instead of getting rid of it entirely, make it show a link saying <a href="" http://www.youtube.com/v/bjY-gu3UOII&hl=en&fs=1">http://www.youtube.com/v/bjY-gu3UOII&hl=en&fs=1</a> ;" (the first url on the embedded video code) Everyone would be happy.
Embedding is so beautiful *carresses a video...* An instant ban for GT sounds more humane.
