I've been meaning to change my Custom Title for awhile now. Last time I simply followed the EVC link but the topic no longer exists (possibly it was eaten during the ezhack)
Can mods still change titles for you? Have we adopted do-it-yourself titles ala eliteboard? Just how many licks does it take?! Please, I need to know.

This is basically the same thing that you're asking, Custom titles were locked down because of the then-thought-imminent move to EliteBoard back in Jan 2006, but as we haven't moved they could be brought back, but only admins can do them and I don't think any of the current admins want to take on the custom title role.
What OTB said, basically. I'll think I'll lock this as the topic OTB linked is also about CTs and is just as recent, so this one's kind of redundant. The original CT request thread was probably eaten by the hack like you said, just simply fell off the board because no-one was posting in it or was deleted due to no longer being thought necessary.
I'll bring up the issue about the link in the description though.
