I realize none of you care about Flashchat anymore, but I was wondering if any of you recognised these or knew how to fix them-

For some reason, while using FlashChat, it'll randonmly log me out. It doesn't give the "connection has expired" message you get when you lurk for, IIRC, 4 hours, just the "Please login" message you get when you use flashbased login or if you use a wrong password. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all, sometimes it happens pretty frequently. I'm not sure, but I think other users have experienced this too.

Also, I noticed that some users don't appear to log out for me, when I log in, I'll see the user there even though they aren't logged in and haven't been for quite some time - so far this has happened to two accounts, Silver and PhilTH. Refreshing fixes this problem.

Oh, and for some reason, Flashchat doesn't work in Firefox, but it does in IE, IETab, Opera, and the Kadobytes Chatclient (which is just IE anyway). I know it's happened before where it just gets to "Alerting Fexusfan 0%" and stops, but do any of you remember why or know why it'd only happen to Firefox?

This problem started after I cleared my flash cookies. It's a huge hassle to do some things I have to do after I clear said cookies, and it seems to have started these in the first place, so I'd prefer a solution that doesn't involve that. But I'll do it if I have to.

Thanks!

Ah yes... Flash Chat still chokes on me at "Alerting FexusFan 0%" when using Firefox. I think it's a configuration issue or somesuch.

It works in IE. I don't think it's related to my other issues, though.

Yeah, it hasn't done any of that other stuff to me before, though since it chokes on FF, I don't know if I'd have those same issues. Honestly, I think the chat needs a reinstall.

And now it doesn't seem to be able to hold a connection to sonic-hq.net at all...

As evidenced by all the images missing on all the boards? Yeah, I suppose.

That's odd, while I was having problems connecting to Flashchat, other users were there and chatting without a hitch.

Have you used both Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers, SMA? Updating your Flash might help a lot too.

Flash 9 is actually the latest version of Flash right now, so I'd say double check which version of Flash you upgraded to. If it turns out that it's not the latest version, then perhaps upgrading to Flash 9 (link: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash ) could get things working again.

Actually, I got a thing asking to install to Flash 7 too. Thanks for that link, Ari, I'm gonna run a virus scan to make sure that was an "honest" install.

EDIT: Huh, that's odd - I swear it said Flash 7, but the installed version is Flash 9. Oh well.
