...In particular, I'm sick of being attacked out my family's percieved financial situation. I don't care if you think we're rich. I get it. You're either jealous or you can't find something better to flame me about. Although, I do admit I never did much of anything in particular to dissuade this notion, but I still don't feel I deserve to be flamed about it.

Mods/Admins/Whoever else cares, please get this to stop. I'm not going to provide examples or logs. You've all seen it in Chat if nothing else. I'm sick of the nasty side-comments, the pointless PMs, and the constant flamewars. I get it. If you want me to name people, I shall, but I don't think it's neccessary. You know who it is.

Thank you.

The proper way to address a situation is to alert a mod present when the act is happening, and explain why; not to wait for the staff to act on what they percieve as nothing and then ridicule the their priorities. If you were curious.

Alright. We gotta make a barrier between us and the jokes.

I've simply given up on asking you guys to stop this. It never worked. Also, I don't understand - Am I ridiculing you? I'm simply trying to raise a valid concern here because I'm sick of nothing doing in Chat.

In any case, can this count as alerting a mod?

I find that hard to believe you've given up on something after numerous tries, citing "I never did much of anything in particular to dissuade this notion" which I agree with in full.

The line I took as ridule would be "I kinda wish Sun/Cloud was actually not a joke...", explained by my mentioning in my first post of your making no injury known, which you agree with in my quotation of you. If you don't let us know something that looks harmless, actually isn't, then you're slacking; not us.

And yes, it does count as an alert. Now that you've done so you can expect results.

This is the first time I've been alerted SX. If I see it I'll slap them, if they make excuses, I'll ban them. Just like always!

Basically, wut Acrio said. The lamers get away with this kindergatner crap because people ignore it. Do not ignore it, tell them to stop, if they don't tell one of us. Once they wrack up enough bans we'll be able to get rid of them for good. And the board will be better because of YOU! :D

I fear I wasn't clear, my fault - I mean that I never said much to the contrary of the popular opinion that we're "rich," nor was I insistent on mentioning facts contrary to this belief when I did say them. I didn't mean to imply that I never tried to stop the flaming. I just never tried to stop people from thinking we have more money than we did.

k @ everything else.

I just want to know how exactly Geo or someone saying you have money is an insult.

I mean, would you rather be called poor?

I'm going to take what Bat said and change it around a bit. SX, I never recall seeing anything remotely inflamatory about the "rich" comments made about you, like I mentioned before. It would help a bit if you gave a couple examples. That is, if you want people to know what to steer clear of.

When was the last time you called someone "rich" as a compliment?

"Rich" could also be used as a term for "humorous." Like, "Ha ha, that's rich!"

I haven't seen anyone call SX "rich" for the express purpose of congratulating him or in any other friendly context. I've seen it done primarily in a sarcastic and sneering manner. I'm guessing that since he raised this complaint, he feels similarly and is asking people to please not continue in this derogatory manner.

EDIT: examples would be nice though to aid in awareness in the future.

I haven't either but I'm willing to give this the benefit of the doubt because our resident "clouds" do things just like this behind my back all the time. So I uphold what I said. He asked for this to stop and it will.

Terg, not everything said is a compliment or an insult. That's the most the issue should be debated in here; all we need now is an example from SX.

Unless we're going to nail the offender with a warning now, does it matter? I thought we were going to count this as a warning to them not to do it.

I mean, I'm all for stringing them up by their thumbs, but I'm a Bastard. :3

Of course it matters. If SX wants us to stop something, we need to know what it is he's talking about. As it is now, it looks like he wants us to stop any mention of his family's financial status which I'm not quite sure is the case or not.

Also, with what I mean by example, I don't need a real one. He can make one up as long as it resembles what he wants us to go after.

No, he wants us to stop anyone using the "Spoiled little rich kid" stereotype remarks in a condescending fashion. I don't see what other reason he'd be asking this here, doesn't seem to be that confusing an inference to me.

It's not so simple, Rico. That doesn't look the same way to everyone. Like I've said, I don't ever recall seeing it, so I need an example to go by instead of just leaping on everything seemingly applicable.
