I think regular users should be allowed to ignore admins in the chat. Of course, admins should also be allowed to override their ignores, but only if they need to tell someone to stop breaking rules.

o.o What sparked this, first off?

Second, I'd imagine the main reason you can't ignore mods/admins is so that one can't pull a "Oh, I had them on ignore, I didn't hear the warning they gave me for whatever" if they get in trouble.

EDIT: After rereading your post and catching the overriding bit, I'd imagine that would be pretty redundant, as the only people I can imagine ignoring mods/admins would be trolls/other troublemakers, and if that were the case, the staffer would override immediately. o.o Thus making the ignore pointless.

You really think so? I would probably ignore an admin, and you have to admit that I'm not much of a troublemaker. I also think I know at least a few others that wouldn't mind being able to ignore admins, and they're not troublemakers either.

How would we go about "over-riding" the ignore? Acrio demolished all of that.

I'm not putting the poor souls that actually stick around to mod that cesspool through anymore trouble than they already have with the crap that was done to the chat.

Sorry, maybe if we still had a way to actually do all the things you seem to think we can do I would consider it.

Deck, did you know that the Human BrainTM comes fully equipped with an ignore feature? This feature is reliable, user-friendly, and extremely customizable. As a member of the Mobius Forum staff, I apologize that we cannot yet perfectly replicate every function of the Human BrainTM. Please consult the user manual of your Human BrainTM for information on how to take advantage of this exciting feature!

Kidding aside, it's a sad society we live in when people are so lazy they can't even bother to ignore stuff without technological aid.

I take pride having only ignored someone once. And it was AIM, and only for a day. And it was Geo, lawl.

Dirk, there are some people whose messages I never want to see at all. And while I could avert my eyes every time I see them maek poast, I find it much more convenient to prevent my chat window from even displaying their messages in the first place. Please forgive my Human BrainTM for being of such low caliber; I simply fail to see how using an ignore feature makes me lazy.

No, you can't ignore Vector.

There's nothing wrong with you using a luxury that has been provided to you. Because that's what the ignore feature is: a luxury, not some inalienable right. You have been given the ability to simply render stuff you don't want to see completely invisible, and that is pretty cool (albeit a tad frightening, philosophically). So I'm bound to roll my eyes a bit at your complaints about the limitations.

I'm not sure we can even add this feature becuase the flash itself would have to support it and we can't edit the flash.

However, now that this has been revealed to me I am going to flood the chat with pointless memes and ads.

Come in and send a room alert telling everyone to hug Deck. That'll show him what for. :p

This Human Brain you speak of greatly intrigues me. Do you know where I might acquire one for myself? I believe I would benefit greatly from having one.

Deck, of course it's low caliber. You put your brain in radioactive pickle juice.

Why do you never listen when I tell you not to touch stuff in my mom's closet? =(
