4828 useless bouts of internet garbage!
Here is how you obtain a post number if you do not know what it should be.
Click your name
Search user's posts
Count how many are not from yuku (if you did not use the phpbb before it is as simple as counting until you get to a yuku imported post)
View yuku number
Find Yuku number + counted number - current listed number (before you post the reset request since doing so will increase it)
Post it here
For me it is:
Yuku number: 4010 + counted number: 5 - current listed number: 3994
So add +21 to me and it will be accurate
I guess this is also the "correct your post count" topic at the moment.
EDIT: It is now!
I'm 78 posts short.
For all your lightgun shooting needs and some other insanity too.
Missing about 259 posts. This is what I get for being active!
Er wouldn't it be
pbpBBpostcount = pbpBBpostcount + (YukuPostCount - pbpBBpostcount)
Total amount as of this post: 772
Yuku number: 1112
# of posts made on the new board, including this one: 10
My total amount should equal "1122."
But how am I missing over 200 post? I made about less than 30 since the post transfer. Unless they are EZ posts that aren't archived.
EDIT: Following what's been said below, Offset is +350 I think?
Offset +375
I should be up to 2009 by now. Or 2010 as of this post.
Also, I used Vec's method to calculate. Using Lighty's gave me just my Yuku post count again, thus:
phpBB postcount: 1812
Yuku post count: 2001
Lighty's equation method: count = 1812 + (2001 - 1812) = 2001.
You should post it like an offset, or say what your number is at the moment, because any additional posts you make before a person handles it will not be counted if you just post a number.
Like how I said it is +21 for me.
Vec's directions still confuse the hell out of me.
Then in that case, my offset is +196
Also let me try to make this less confusing. This is the means I used to find my offset. This method only really works if you didn't post on the phpBB until the move, like I did.
1. Look at your current phpBB post count and your Yuku post count, as of the very last post you made there before moving.
2. Subtract your phpBB post count from your Yuku post count. (In my case, this gave 186.) Take note of the number you get.
3. Click on your username to be taken to the control panel, then click the link at the bottom to search for all your posts.
4. Look through the list til you find the last one to be ported over from Yuku. From there, count your way up through the list to find all the posts made only on phpBB.
5. Add this number to the one you got in step 2.
6. You now know your offset. Post it in this thread.
If you did post at the new board before the move but not a lot, it's possible to count the pre move posting too, if you remember which is which.
Actually yeah, I care about offsets more.
According to the patented Silvershadow method, I've got an offset of 504, give or take. o.o
That... That seems a lot.
I'll create a custom field for post offsets
If someone could please remind me what date this board was opened on, I'll come up with an offset. 🙂
(Although the count in my request post is current, so if anyone sorts it out first, it'll be a moot point.)
Current Yuku Post count: 3862
This is excluding 2 posts I've made in Yuku's EVC after the move.
As of this post, my phpBB post is 1930.
... 1932 is quite a large difference.
Post count on Yuku: 4706
Post Count on PhpBB: 4296
Difference: 410
I don't mind all that much about having a post count discrepancy, but since I looked it up, I'm missing 77 posts. (Yuku post count: 633, phpBB post count (prior to making this post (and this is my first post here)): 556 ).
Offset now edited into my original post.
Using SS's method,I get an offset of 81 posts.
My offset is about... 464. o.o
My offset is
Yuku: 15904 + Counted: 12 - PPH: 13812 = 2104
So I need +2104.
