Uh, this is mostly jsut a random question borne of an IM conversation, I fugred I'd get some more feedback here than scratching colelctive heads in IM. When a user recieves an official warning, does the warning ever expire?
For example, if a user accumulates two official warnings, and, say, seven months later gets a third, could the first two still be claimed as valid after that long a time - would said user be banned for the third?
If yes, is there any set "time limit" on warnings? Or is it more set on a case-by-case basis? Like, if it's a shared opinion among staff that past warnings were or weren't effective, etc?
If no, how far can that be taken? If you were warned twice, say, years ago, can that really be used against you? That's an extreme example, of course, but it's just for arguements' sake.
Personally, I'd think they'd expire after a reasonable amount of time, but why go off assumption when you can simply ask?
All official warnings are logged for future reference. Whether those warnings have any bearing on any recent incident or not depends entirely on the nature of the warning and, yes, who is being warned. Naturally, repeat offenders have a higher likelihood of receiving a temp/perm ban than someone who very rarely breaks any rules, thus even old warnings from a year ago could be used against him or her if it shows modus operandi is in effect.
Well, that's how I see it anyway.
It's up to he discretion of the staff.
So, don't get warned and you won't have to worry about it. 😉

But Rico, that's no fun. D:
Anyway, thanks!

So, keep a varied selection of bribes and you won't have to worry about it.

He can't bribe me like you can. At least not for another few years.

Good behaviour bonds, plz.
Such a system may be included in the new rules.

Bribe me, I've been good lately.
