I haven't time to sit down and chew this over properly right now, but if I can correct you, BW: the only person to ever try to claim that M25YL was the immutable canon future was Ken Penders. The guy who wrote it. Who was more than a bit biased.

This was in direct contravention of the word of every other writer on the book, and his own Editor (Justin even made the announcement publicly because Ken was stirring so much crap on his message board).

M25YL is a possibility. Nothing more.

It isn't restricting anything that could happen to the characters in the current timeline one bit.

To put it more simply, using evidence from the story itself rather than the comments of the creatives:

In M25YL, we saw the future change.
therefore
The future can change.
theefore
It is only a possible future.

This is canon fact.

Could it be that changing the future is what results in the formation of the In Your Face Future? Maybe by changing the INYF Future into the M25YL Future, another character ends up traveling through time that wouldn't have in the previous future, creating the first future in the first place?

That was written more as a smart alec remark, but it does go to show that when time travel is involved things get really weird reallyfast.

TIME PARADOX

"You've created a Time Paradox. Lara-Su, you can't do that you will change the future!"
