Scourge x Nack! Discuss!

I don't think that Scourge or Nack would work out... since they're very much SOLO characters. And like it that way.

But as for characters who need to team up... Barby and Rouge. That'd be great. But I'd settle for a battle between them as well (lol).

Well, Scourge and Nack are both random characters that would likely join forces for even at least an issue or two.

They both are sneaky in a way. They both basically have similar motives. Other villains do too, but if you read past issues, they seem to rotate on attacking Sonic and his friends.

example: STH #150-#151 (Evil Sonic), STH #153 (Nack), STH #160-#161 (Evil Sonic / Scourge), STH #162-#164 (Nack - small scenes), STH #172 (Scourge).

I know it sounds crazy, but they both were shown more frequently, just never in the same time and place.

oddly enough, i wanted to make a topic about who would be ideal for finitevus' team. he's already got the destructix on his side, as well as scourge and fiona, so that could be some sort of threat along with finitejak himself. (if it comes down to that.)

Are the Babylon Rogues a part of Fini's gang as well?

Scourge and Nack would end up stabbing each other in the back if they worked together, and then neither of them would get what they wanted because they would've foiled each other.

scourge and nack might work for some filler story down the line, but neither are really effective when they attempt to ally with someone else.

if the comic ever seriously explored what goes on in the echidna world, I'd like to see more of who Finitevus might align himself with to further his goals

We know that Fiona and Nicolette've worked together in the past - with that history, I'd like to see Fiona and Nack cross paths sometime.

As with a Scourge/Nack team, I doubt that it'd really last (and we've already seen that Fiona uses people for only as long as it suits her) - but given that Nack and Nic don't get on and we've seen in the past that Nack has an eye for pretty, forward fox girls, it could be plenty of opportunity for backstory and character development, and explosive whilst it lasted.

Let's extend the boundaries a bit.

All meeting up?

It could last about two pages before they try to strangle each other, or else prove a very interesting series of backstories as they ach bring out dirty linen to wind each other up or try to swipe each other's partners.

I can just picture some sort of high stakes ne'er-do-wells poker game (throw in Bean and Bark and a few other minor league sorts, as well) with dirty secrets and various anecdotes being wagered if someone doesn't want to part with their side of the stake. That could run on for a while. 🙂

Either that or some sort of one-shot botched cat burglary operation where each of the four screw up the other's plans (think Scrooge McDuck and Flintheart Glomgold :)) and all wind up locked in a very small vault for a while... 🙂

Hmmm... Interesting but I doubt it work. Excluding Fiona, these guys are best solo.

To be fair, though, we've never actually seen Fiona solo.

The real Fiona was reintroduced through her association with Nic, and she then was a background extra in the FFs, followed by a team member in the Brain Trust and a hook-up with Sonic and Scourge.

We've never really seen what she can do on her own.

Not necessarily an alliance - although that'd be interesting to see, since the two've never really been seen to mix - just a story where you had the two of them facing wits and physical ability off against each other somehow.

If you took the unfair advantage that is Nicole and the rest of Sally's entourage out of the picture, I could see it being an interesting situation.

Thus, one will assume she can't carry her weight.

Either that, or she's smart enough to find someone else to attach to and let them take the wrap, and use her natural charms to get what she wants whilst everyone passes her off as "just a girl".

We know that she has a sharp head on her shoulders from who she was placed with in the Brain Trust, and look at the conversation she had with Amy when the two of them finally came to blows (a fight I honestly wonder who'd have won), after Sonic'd spent months making excuses for her - or Tails saying that he was sure that she could just try to be good, even against all of the evidence.

(I actually think that he may've had a point - but that's another discussion.)

She was working solo when Nic reintroduced her, and you don't survive with her lifestyle by being weak or dumb.

I read her as being a lot more capable than she acts - and that's her biggest weapon.

As the saying goes: why keep dogs and bark yourself?

I can't help thinking of that conversation Sonic had with Scourge about one thought, word or action making one of them just like the other.

Given that neither of them had what you'd call a conventional upbringing, I could see Fiona and Sally being faced with similar choices fairly easily. As I just said (and Scourge himself recognised), I don't believe that Fiona's irretrievably evil - just very, very mercenary - and Sally's fully capable of not being very nice.

Lots of room for soul-searching.

Take Sonic out of the picture so that they're not just re-running Heart Held Hostage and the idea that they're both working for some sort of greater good, and I could easily picture a story that left both looking ambiguous - Fiona maybe still out in the cold, but having made some partially redeeming actions, whilst Sally chose to do something ruthless enough (in Fiona's defence, maybe? I like my irony, although Sally's own defence would be the classic - we all know she has that selfish streak...) that neither she nor the FFs look at her in quite the same way again.

Make it something that has Fiona staring afterwards and saying to Sally that even she would've drawn the line there - although, of course since this is Fiona, we'd be left wondering if that was true.

I like that idea.

Get Snively away from Robotnik. Have him become a real, big threat to the kingdom.

I mean, he deserves it. Give him that new look that was presented briefly back in ish. #118. Robotnik's been in there for far too long as "the boss." Have him become a major boss and pair up with a couple villains.

We all know he tried long ago back in ish. #68-70 with the Devil's Gulang escapees. That didn't work out. Perhaps with Scourge, or even Mammoth Mogul. Anything but him staying with Robotnik.

Hello I'm new to posting here though I come here to read all the time. One group alliance that would be amazing is:

Tails, N.I.C.O.L.E, and Rotor.

I mean what with Tails and Rotor being the techies of Knothole, and N.I.C.O.L.E (now in her holographic form) having previously been a computer and tech herself along with still keeping everything that the hand held computer knows, that trio would be really amazing! I mean can you imagine the combined brainpower for the group?! The inventions, tactics, ideas, I bet even they're combined IQ's would blow Robotnik out of the water. I mean with three genius's with them there really is no limit as to what those minds could come up with.

You know, this is actually kind of funny, because I have a fanfiction plotted out that revolves around character alliances. How it works out is basically like this: I've introduced a number of characters from the games and Sonic X into the comics through others of my stories. Dr. Finitevus, well on his way to bringing back Enerjak, gathers all the greatest villains (those still alive or who I've brought back, anyway-Robotnik is dead at the time of the story) and forms Sonic Heroes-esque teams. Well MattManic, that's your opinion, and I respect it. Still, I'm sure you could at least see some potential in it.

Not really; the majority of the team combinations you've chosen don't make any sense, nor do they adhere to the speed/flight/power combination (and to be honest, why bother having teams if they're all just speed types?). No offence, but it just seems like a way to try and cram as many Sonic characters into a story as you can without much regard for their context within the story.

Ya know who I think would be fun to see team up? NICOLE and Shadow. They both do a lot of behind the scenes work, and I'd say Shadow owes her big time for the sim-past thing.(even he'd agree) And they both act so logical, but in different, conflicting ways. I have no idea what they'd do, or how anything would work out, but it'd be fun to see what would happen. On the other hand, it might be completely random and pointless.

You know, MattManic, it just so happens that all of those teams have been arranged in elements; I just didn't bother to list them. All of those characters have a specific attribute, and if you'd like me to point them out, then I will. But if you don't, then don't be rude about it.

As for teams making sense, what do you mean? All those characters have been put together in a practical manner. If you want to know the full story, you'll have to wait until my story is up on NetRaptor and DeviantArt. It's going to be called "Villains".

Spectre, if you're not willing to explain why those choices make sense unless we read your fanfic, then this thread should be in Carnival Island, because you're turning it into a teaser trailer rather than a discussion.

How do those teams make sense in terms of what we know about those characters from the comic?

Well, it all depends on what team ups you're confused about. I mean, a few of those groups are quite obvious, several of them coming from Sonic Heroes. Just to clear at least one up for you, I'll talk about Team Rose, the only official Sonic Heroes team that I altered.

Along the same storyline as this fic, I introduced Cream. Of course, it was natural for her and Amy to become friends. However, I brought Tikal in since she wants to get back Chaos, who is playing on the dark side in the fic. She strikes me as a much better choice for Team Rose's power member than Big the Cat, particularly since I find it somewhat disturbing that there's one guy on Team Rose, and the girls on the team all wear dresses. I figure, it's more decent to get rid of Big and replace him with a character more likely to get along with Amy and Cream. Tikal, like Big, is a Sonic Adventure introduced character, so it fit to me.

Getting back on topic, I'm desperate for a Nack x anyone team up at the moment. Hell, Nack x Sally in a survival situation could be kind of cool.

If they were all that obvious, would two people've asked you to clarify them and told you that they didn't see how they could work?
