After Mogul was beaten and made a hasty retreat, Tails' clone died, more than that, ceased to exist, poof, gone. Then Tails' woke up.
Tails must have learned about the year (or however long it was) of his life he lost. And about his clone.
Did anyone ever weep for the poor kit? Ever? Sure, he thought and acted like Tails because he was programmed to, but still.... I wonder, I really do wonder, what did TAILS think of his clone, returning to his life after that time?
In Sonic's world losing a year of your life isn't really that uncommon:
Sonic -- Lost a year of his life when he went out into space
Knuckles -- Lost six months to a year of his life when he was 'dead'
Tails -- Lost a year of his life due to the Mogul Fiasco
Amy -- Lost multiple years of his life when she wished
herself to being older. (Unless her body is going to last longer to compensate)
Antonie -- Spent a year of his life in the Anti world while a clone mucked about his life in the main world
Any roboticized Robian -- Lost multiple years of their lives to Roboticization.
Seriously. There's probably a psychiatric ward somewhere in New Mobotropolis where they have a weekly support group for victims of "Lost Time Syndrome.
When did it say that Tails was held captive for a year by Mogul? It seems like the timeline in Archie is messed up. According to one of the issues in the Home story arc, troops had been in place near Robotropolis' ruins for 10 years to keep Robotnik from breaching the shield and releasing the radiation. I seriously doubt that, except for the whole Xorda affair, any events in the comics have really taken place over a significant amount of time-a year, maybe two, but I haven't heard anything to say that Tails was held prisoner for a year.

Apparently Alex wasn't sure about the time frame either.
The "10 years outside Robotropolis" was meant to read "10 months", IIRC.
As for the timeline, all we know is that there's been two years between #11 and #160, and Sonic's "year away" (which is probably more like 9 months) has to fit in there too.
I'm just wondering if Tails ever stopped to think about the poor clueless kit who lived his life in that time.
