Lately it has been so hard getting my hands on them. I live in Co-op City Bronx, New York and most the stores around me I know of only carry the major comic labals. The corner stores I went to for them in the past and my local Barnes and Noble either stopped getting them, get them late or sell out fast lately.

So for those of you who subcribe, how close to the release date do they usually arrive and in what condition do the arrive in?

Also anyone who lives in Bronx, NY or better yet Co-op City, do you guys know any good places.

As a subscriber, I usually receive issues a week before the release date. Be warned, however, that the first issue in your subscription may arrive AFTER the second, so be on top of that.

Without a subscription, best bet is probably a Borders, if there's one around. Supermarkets tend to start carrying them a week or two after the release date. Hope that helps a bit.

If you can take a trip into Manhattan, you're guaranteed to find them at Jim Hanley's Universe on the Wednesday (Thursday on weeks with Mon-Wed holidays) of Diamond Comics release.

Yeah I know about JHU and Midtown comics in Manhattan, it's just that I'd prefer not going down their for one comic.
