Fiona can be presumed to be working for Finitevus (maybe you guys who have the comics know that she is, I don't know) and she'll probably end up being a lackey for the new Enerjak when he shows up.

I think that it would be cool if Scourge and Fiona's feelings for each other actually were genuine. Even if they don't stay together, those two could help each other out. Perhaps the urge to maintain a relationship with Fiona would bring out some of Scourge's more Sonic-like qualities; he is an alternate version of Sonic, after all.

And like Samanfur said, Fiona's time with the Freedom Fighters was probably like rehab, and it's apparently failed. Unfortunately, I'm not at all convinced that Fiona could recover from being evil-she may have chosen it, but she had the chance to back away when Tails asked her to stay with the Freedom Fighters instead of going with Scourge, and she refused.

Sure, it could have been that temptation to slip back into her criminal ways, but if she's really good at heart and repentant for any crimes she may have committed, then she should have had the fortitude and strength of will to resist or at least look unhappy about ditching the Freedom Fighters. Of course, I guess you could say that she stayed with the Freedom Fighters when Bark and Bean (by the way, don't care if you're joking or not, they're not a couple) offered her a chance to rejoin the old gang. But then, it could be that she'd grown tired of just being a petty criminal and wanted to move on to something better, aka Scourge's partner in crime.

As for Bark not talking, I'm pretty sure he's said a few things, but he's the old stereotype: strong and silent. Besides, from what I've seen, Bean does enough talking for both of them.

Here's an interesting question: Does anyone else realize that logically, Fiona would be a claustrophobic? If the FFs ever capture her and need her to squeal, they just need to put her in a tiny black room and listen to her bang, cry, and scream at the door in blind panic before she cracks, goes catatonic, or reverts mentally to her childhood.

That's not 100%. People can develope phobias of things despite not having a bad experience associated with them, so having a bad experience once doesn't mean it'll necessarily drive you nuts later.

Besides, she didn't seem to mind being in a small interview room too much, or staying at the underground FF base, or even visiting the place of her initial imprisonment, so it seems more likely that she's not got residual problems in that sense.

Here's a thought...maybe they can trade Fiona for Evil Fiona. If they're really opposites, than the Fiona in Scourge's world is probably either fighting for Dr. Kintobor (or a kindly Dr. Finitevus?), or has set up some kind of Robin Hood-esque mercenary operation. Makes you wonder what Rouge is doing, too. XD

But if Fiona isn't inherently evil - something that even Scourge recognises (and since he's from the Anti-Mobius, I think he'd know), wouldn't that make the Anti-Fiona as dark as anyone else there?

Although I suppose that she could decide to go against her instincts and be nice, too. 🙂

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, though she doesn't really have the foil Fiona Prime has, since Sonic isn't hanging out there.

I was wondering about that - although I now have an image of Anti-Fiona and Anti-Nic as Thelma and Louise that's refusing to get out of my head. 🙂

This sounds similar to a suggestion someone made in what I think was the #178 thread. Someone suggested that if Sonic and Tails are at each other's throats, then perhaps Scourge and Evil Tails are becoming buddies. The thing is, the Anti-Mobius characters have opposite personalities to their Mobius Prime counterparts-that doesn't mean that whatever the Mobius Prime gang does is the opposite of what anyone on Anti-Mobius will do.

Evil/Anti-Fiona (if she exists; not all of Mobius Prime's inhabitants have counterparts in all the alternate universes) is probably very similar to Anti-Sally. Fiona Prime chose to go all evil, and really you could get the same from anyone else on Mobius Prime in the right conditions. Aside from their opposing morals, the Mobians/Anti-Mobians aren't really that different in personality. If he'd spent his life in a prison and escaped to run around with criminals, Sonic could easily be just like Scourge; the same applies to any of the Freedom Fighters.

Of course, it's hard to say whether any Anti-Mobians could undergo such a change. It reminds me of the original Star Trek series episode where Captain Kirk and other crewmen find themselves in a parallel universe that probably provided some basis for Anti-Mobius, given that the characters there were all dark versions of their Prime universe counterparts. While Kirk and his guys were able to blend in with the other universe's inhabitants by acting savage instead of civilized, their counterparts back in the Prime universe couldn't do the same. Where I'm going with this is that the Anti-Mobians didn't grow up inherently good; they grew up inherently evil, and in most cases it's much easier to go from good to bad than from bad to good.

Finally, to continue the Bark and Bean couple argument, I have two points: 1, Romantic discussion is not supposed to be allowed in this forum; and 2, Sonic is a children's series and is not going to feature a gay couple whatever some twisted fans out there might think. Bark and Bean are teammates; their relationship is proffessional.

Yes, because he was being oh-so-serious about that. :spin

Who was being oh-so-serious about what? I'm just saying that we have no indication that Bark and Bean are gay; they're just two guys who work as a team in various criminal activities. There's less to say that the two of them are gay than there is to say that Bert and Ernie are-and they're not gay either, sickos.

The point is that you're taking a off-hand joke way too seriously and putting far too much thought into it. Just let things like that go.

While I never claimed to be straight, I tend to prefer to be called gay rather than twisted, thanks.

As Toby said, it's just a joke, and I find it rather interesting that you're not only quite defensive about the suggestion that two male characters might be a gay couple - like you said, we have no indication they are gay, but to be fair we also have no indication that they're straight - and you're also willing to label anyone who interprets as such, jokingly or not, as a sicko.

Maybe Anti-Fiona might have started out evil, but was captured by Dr. Kinbotor who eventually reformed her?

Alright, I guess that once again I've let my opinionated nature get the best of me. I just happen to be rather anti-homosexual, and I don't like the idea of it being featured in Sonic. My apologies to anyone on this site who may be homosexual, and for calling people who support the idea of Sonic characters in relationships like that sickos.

As for your idea, Alex, you have to remember that we have no indication that Anti-Fiona even exists. If she does, it's doubtful she's even involved with the Anti-Freedom Fighters, or else Scourge might have mentioned her. Then she would probably have appeared among the members of the group during the brief period in which Sonic and Scourge had switched places. Anyway, I don't recall hearing anything about Kintobor trying to reform the Anti-Mobians; he seems more likely to try and keep them from interfering in what he's trying to do for Anti-Mobius.

Nothing to say he wouldn't try. After all, there were innocent animals he was protecting from the Anti-FFs back when Sonic first visited Anti-Mobius.

On the sexuality discussion:

If you can't either take a joke or discuss something without yelling at each other, then I'm telling all of you to quit it. Now.

And I'd like to hear some justification behind that "sickos" comment, too, Spectre. That took the whole thing from discussing to personally insulting people - not just their opinions. And it's not the first time you've been talked to about getting in a snit.

So just what did you mean like that? Although the next time you come out with an insult or try to just walk out of a discussion without justifying it as soon as it's not going your way ("Whatever" doesn't work as an answer), you're getting an official warning, whatever it is.

Uh, Sam, not to sound, uh, snippy or nothing, but he did apologize; shouldn't that be enough? If he goes into an explanation things will get really ugly as they always do with this subject. If he apologizes and doesn't say anything more, shouldn't it just be laid to rest because he really did seem like he wanted to make amends.

To be honest, Rayzor, I'll hold my hands up and say that I didn't see Spectre's last post until after I posted.

As an explanation and apology, that's fair enough - as long as those opinions're handled sensitively in future (especially since we're rather a melting pot around here), rather than through name-calling.

For that reason, the unofficial warning stands, though.

If I was an overly sensitive fruity admin instead of a smartaleck one I'd ban him for TEH GHEY HAET! But instead I'll make an offtopic remark referencing my fruitiness and insinuating that a he's being a big jerk.

On topic, Fiona is a... and oh lookit the time. I need to go administratorize things, and yeah. *poof*

Okay, guys, I'm sorry again. I'm just a guy with die hard Christian values, and I get sick and tired of reading or seeing things people have posted that indicate that Sonic characters are doing things that are immoral. Again, my humblest apologies if I've offended anyone; as I've said, I'm really passionate about this sort of thing (just call me when they're taking the photo for "Future Geeks Who Live in Their Parents' Basements"). Really, I am sorry if anyone took sicko to be a personal insult.

In regards to taking a joke, I have a rather undeveloped sense of humor. What some people might find funny, I usually find vulgar. Once again, I'm sorry about getting worked up over the Bark and Bean deal. If anyone thinks I'm a jerk, or if you get annoyed because I've over-apologized (if there is such a thing) in this post, then I'm...sorry, again.

Back on topic, it might be kind of interesting if Anti-Fiona (if she exists) were caught by Kintobor and taught to be a goodly individual. It reminds me of the Sonic Underground plot where Sonic, Sonia, and Manic encountered jerky alternate versions of themselves. Once they showed them how horrible their reign had made things for their subjects, the alternate siblings immediately turned over a new leaf. Of course, an inhabitant of the real Anti-Mobius would probably take considerably longer to convert.

Trying to change the subject, but:

That you and some other people think are immoral. Nothing more.

You're as entitled to your beliefs as anyone else here, Spectre - as much as I disagree strongly, I'm not trying to convert you or anything.

But beliefs are beliefs and nothing more (we hopefully have a long time to wait until we find out who's right, and we can hardly come back and gloat).

Please don't write like that, as though you know for sure that they're a fact.

Again, if you'd just added an "I think" or "in my opinion" to that, I'd have left it alone.

Guess I'm sorry again; I have a tendency to generalize. Thank you for pointing that out, Samanfur.

Anyway, getting back on topic, Fiona's true nature is similar to a lot of things about the comics: we won't know the truth until we see how everything turns out. Of course, I'm still hoping that in the near future we'll be seeing her in a New Mobotropolis prison cell-even if she does turn out repentant, she still betrayed the Freedom Fighters by leaving them and entering into the association of known criminals. The fact that her new boss is a member of the Dark Legion doesn't help her case with the Chaotix, either; Knuckles'll probably have some choice words for her if he runs into her on Angel Island.
