As of today I officially own all the Sonic The Hedgehog comics #0 up to current....I'm so proud...It took me around 2 years to finally get a hold of every comic and now I do.

Yaaaay!

I now look to own Sonic X and most likely find the missing issues from all the special releases.

Congrats!

I, at one point, wanted to have the entire thing, but gave up for some reason I can't remember. I'm just happy they released the archives so I finally were able to read some of the issues I'm missing.

I've been collecting them for probably the past 14 years now, and somehow the only ones I'm missing are #4 and #135. Oh the shame....:(

That and Messiah Complex is taking all my moneyz.

20 eluded me for YEARS before I find it. Now I just need 83, 91 and 101, methinks. That doesn't include the specials, though.

i had them all (including knux, miniseries, specials, etc) around when 163 came out, and sold the set for about a thousand bucks. I wonder what a set is worth now?

Way less than a thousand bucks I would wager. What's the cost of a Sonic comic in the USA? $3 at most? There's only like 280 or so comics, even if you include all the specials and mini-series and such. You got a really fantastic deal for those comics.

Collecting the comics since issue 11 sure came in handy. I'm proud to say I've owned every single issue of Sonic the Hedgehog except for issue 121, which I never got a copy of for some reason.

I miss the days when you could back-order individual issues. Heh, I miss the days when you could get the entire original mini series for less than ten bucks.

I remember that too. I only bought a few from there since the former Toys R Us use to sell back issues cheaper than Archie. If I remember right, they sold on average for $1 a piece and were packaged with between 2 and 4 comic in a set. By the time Toys R Us stopped selling them, Archie ran out.

Most of you are closer than I am. I'm missing 19 issues, most of them are in the first 20 issus.

I could never buy them with the back issue part of the comic as I live outside of the USA and Canada...It was such a pest because I would have gotten them like that.

It's really crazy some prices each comic is going for..I've seen people on eBay selling a comic for $30 and upwards.

The hardest comic for me to find were 82,86,89,98,116 and 124...No idea why...But these rarely came up on eBay and other online sites that I'd used.

The last Sonic comic I had to locate was #6...I saw someone on eBay selling it for $15US and bought it instantly with BIN..I've seen it go for higher so yea..It's in NM too :D

I'm just glad I'm not the only one missing ones in the 80s. I quit reading the first time at 79, picked back up at 102. I filled in the missing issues with the year packs. I'll be hitting the garage sales to find 80, 82, 83, 85, and 86. I bought 40 issues, most them I had already, for $5 US at a garage sale.

If I didn't just give all my spares to someone at work, I'd been happy help someone to fill there collection.

Soo, it appears that the comics in the 80's are harder to collect for some reason? That I find really interesting...I read somewhere that 98 was one of the hardest to get your hands on but I've not heard anything about 80's issues being harder.

I had a chance to buy them from Archie but I left the order waaaay to late so I missed out (-_-) Buying dirrectly from Archie is hella expensive when shipping is concerned..Within the USA it's not so bad but to Australia it makes you wanna cry..lol

Oh, oh..And good luck on getting the missing comics :) It can be achieved might just take a while.

Wonder why that is? IMO The 80's didn't have anything special really. I would expect like Knuckles Miniseries (before his regular series) would be hella hard to find.

^ I haven't found it too hard to locate his mini series...But I am finding it rather hard to locate one Knuckles comic from his regular series..The 2nd last one before they canned it.

Ya know I'd really like to know why it is so hard to locate the issues in their 80's as well..It just seems strange IMO that it is.

i have them all except for a chunk of the chaos saga and that stint that sonic spent in space, but i don't find myself yearning to get any of those issues
