I finally got to see the issue in my local bookstore. It was another issue I probably would have brought if the art was better. Tracy Yardley(I feel so dumb for getting the name mixed up somehow) doesn't seem to draw all the characters consistantly well. Also, Sally didn't cry like a baby, that was Amy.

So the stores over here are very lax in getting in 176 so I havent seen it yet. Or 177. Someone who has read both of those (hopefully) do Sonic and Tails manage to patch anything up between them at all? I saw from spoiler that they TRY to bring it up before eggman attacks but do they at all do something, anything to try and fix things?
Even if they did try to fix it up, it wouldnt matter. Issue #178, they're gonna fight with powers. Probobly political powers..
Sweet, so I was reading and I caught something. At the end of the comic when they're at the new Mobotropolis, king acorn is stating about how the castle looks like the old days and then we get to see NICOLE on the next page. We see that sonic goes "woah" and everyone else looks either shocked or suprised to all heck, but if you take a look at Tails he's the only one who has this little knowing smirky smile on his face. Did he know what NICOLE was planning to do? cause I know she kept saying "I dont have time to explain" but Tails doesnt look very suprised at all to see NICOLE and what she did to the city. Am I just seeing things or did anyone else catch it too?
He sounds like he had an idea, though he may also be overly chipper over taking the whole thing in.
Good bet would be that he knew of the program, but hadn't expected this to be the plan.

In the run-away! scene, Tails is trying to apologize to Sonic. But then Eggman came and interupted Tails's apology; and threfore, couldn't finish. This must have been an omen for what's to come in future issues of the fight. "That their conflict will never be resolved!" D:
Bet you thier fight is resolved in issue #179. =p
I think that your right Toby. I mean we saw the description for #180 and they're doing the thing with an Enerjak plotline. There is no mention of sonic or tails and it looks like its mainly focused on Enerjak so it seems like it HAD to be resolved in # 179, cause I cant see them just leaving something that suspensful and juicy alone and go to another subject without finishing it. But what will happen I wonder? Will sonic be the one to stop the revolution out of caring for Tails? Or will Tails be the one to defy his father and stop the fight himself. Man I can just see Tails getting into the middle of the fight physically between the two sides and verbally telling everyone that they're acting like complete idiots and that they need to stop this stupid fight. Though I wouldnt put it past the creators to have something happen to Tails, someway getting him injured or something in order to show everyone what exactly happens when you focus on fighting rather then working together, though if it comes down to having Tails get hurt to get the point across it would be like throwing ice water on someone to wake them up. Then again Sonic would probly sneak out to see Tails, I mean he's snuck out to see various people before, and I dont acaully think that they'd both want to fight each other, but rather being forced to. Anywho I'll shut up now cause I know I'm ranting, I just want Sonic and Tails to end up okay, I mean they've known each other since Tails was BORN for god sakes, sonic was the 4th to hold him! Despite a weakened friendship it would take more then that to break those two up. Theres a reason they're called the UNBREAKABLE BOND.
I dunno, I could see the Sonic/Tails rift (not to mention the civil war) being an ongoing thing that's interrupted by Enerjak's return, rather than being solved before his comeback. Similar to when Mogul took over Echidnaopolis in K#9/S#56 - Mobotropolis was on the brink of a civil war then too, but they had to ignore it because they recognized Mogul as more of a threat.
For some reason, I also kind of would like to see. The Sonic/Tails rift and maybe even the civil war last on and off until STH issue # 200.
Good point MattManic7325, maybe the civil war will get interupted.
It's plausible enough to see the Sonic/Tails rift last until after Enerjak's return - showing Tails finding some way of his own to stand up and combat Enerjak would just be another step in showing that he's getting older and more independent.
I would like to see Tails as his Sonic OVA counterpart. He was almost as fast as Sonic and showed both his smartness and strength in that movie. Especially in the comic (he's fighting in a war for pete's sake) He's been put down as a know-it-all who can't fight ever since Sonic Adventure 2. He's better than that. And they haven't shown in. Basically, I would concure with it Sam.
