The situation between Sonic/Sally that Archie Comics is putting them though goes back to what I like to call "The ol Zack/Kelly sicerno" from Saved by the bell.

You see what the creator and writers did to keep fans instrested and flocking back for more was by splitting Zack and Kelly apart and putting them back to together on many, many different occiasions, and by finding different sicernos if you will to put them in to make both the split and the renuion work out right.

And I believe That's Archie comics is trying to with Sonic and Sally and even if you will Bunnie and Antione.

But hey that's just my opnion, take as you will.
