Im posting this topic about the Mobius 25 Years Later story about the next chapter and what of the future of the saga.
Their were a lot of mixed reactions from readers about the whole look into the future for Sonic and the rest of the Freedom Fighters, some people liked it some didnt but I think they should have done away with that silly story about the planet is going to blow up and should has just shown what Sonic and the gang do now that they are not Freedom Fighters anymore and what they do now that their marred and have kids, but in all I found the whole look into the future interesting.
My favourite was the M25YL: Fathers Day story from issue 143 but I know for a fact that the ending in issue 144 was just trieble. It didnt show what had happened to Sonic and just felt like some bad cliffhanger they should have just given the whole issue to it and leave the Love and Loss story for a later issue. But it also let a lot of unanswered questions, a big one is how Tails ended up with Mina and why has Sonic not spoken to him in 3 years? Did they get into a fight or did they just grow apart when they got older. I think that this subject may appear in the next instalment and we will find out why theyre not talking to each other.
And as for the next instalment when is it actually going to happen? I think Ken said on his website that it was going to happen around issue 160 or so but we are yet to see the See you later Choa story that was going to happen so I think it may appear after that. But what can we expect from the next instalment of 25 Years Later? How does it begin and how do you think it will end? I have a few ideas about how it may begin
1: after disappearing Sonic wakes up in bed Sally then asks him if hes ok and he asks her if Mobius is safe and if he has saved it and Sally just tells him that it was a bad dream he was having and tells Sonic that he better get some sleep as they are going to Lara-Sus 16th birthday party.
2: the machine doesnt send Sonic back in time and knocks Sonic into a coma. Sally is mad at Knuckles because of this but he has his own problems as Lara-Su has disappeared. In fact the machine has sent Lara-Su back in time and she has to find a way to get back to the future. Which may mean she has something to do with Mobius in the future about to explode. Proper Back To The Future style story.
Those are just some ideas (bad ideas probably) but what can we expect in the next instalment? Who will we see in it? What has happened to them now that their not fighting Robotnik? There are lots of characters I would like to see in it and what has happened to them in the future, characters like Fiona, Ray, Mighty, Rouge, Amy, Shadow, Sallys brother and his family and the king and queen etc. but I would like to what has happened to Antoine and Bunnie to see if them two are marred if Antoine is still a royal guard if Bunnie has found a way to de-robotsize herself and what their kids look like.
Then after the next instalment ends what is going to happen to the 25 Years Later story now that Ken Penders has left? What will become of Mobius 25 Years Later? Ken said on his website that the next M25YL will be his swansong to the Sonic comic so if hes leaving whats going to happen? Will it end on a rubbish cliffhanger like the last one with lots of unanswered questions or will it end with a happy ending. The future is saved peace rains throughout the land no need to look into the future anymore etc. although many people dont like the M25YL story I wouldnt mind if it was to continue long after Kens left Archie but with a different writer to take over the saga with Kens blessing or if Ken came back just to do more M25YL stuff and leave the current situation with the comic to the other writers.
Before I finish off I would just like to know if any of you think that if Archie should look into the future of the Freedom Fighters they shouldnt go so far into the future? What I mean is why not take a look what happens to Sonic and his homies in the next 5 or 10 years? Think about it we could see the final days of Robotnik, Sonic And Sally on their wedding day, the births of their children and the day when Sonic and Sally are both crowned King and Queen. I think something like that would make an interesting read if done properly with care and attention.
Im going to finish this off now so please take your time to read this carefully and feel free to post your own positive and negative comments and ideas regarding the subject. And I would just like to say Im sorry if this post is to long, I just had so many ideas that just needed to get out.

I would like to know how Robotnik died. Robotision was always a favorite of mine of Buttnik's death.
I'd rather wait to see that in the main stories. I don't want M25YL to spoil too much of the current storyline.
I'm not asking it to ruin the current story line, i just want to know what happens next in the future and leave out the events of the past.
I imagine that M:25YL will end like most recent cancelled stories(in the comics world at large) that have little or no hope to make a return, that is, Ken will rush an ending other than what was intended for the story in interest of tying off the more major plotlines so the audience has some relative closure. The whole time traveling, I would guess, will be aborted as Ken cannot now tell stories of them meeting the current timeline cast.

it said Robotnik was killed by knuckles going chaotic again.
of course all of you should know by now that M25yl was said to be a "possible alternate future" so i wouldn't put to much faith into that ending for Robotnik.

How did Tails end up with Mina? Feh. Its easy to see how at this point:
Ash (dies from blood loss) "I knew I shouldn't have had that pierced!"
Mina (in mourning) "I actually think he's happier like this."
CSI Mobius Crew "Its murder! Or suicide! Or both! A murder-suicide!"
Sonic (showing basic emotions) "I regret that he is dead."
Mina (OS resets to default BIOS) "I love Sonic again... Apparently."
Tails (wandering through) "Why am I even here? What do I contribute?"
Mina (thinking -.- please wait) "I have the perfect plan! Tails loves Fiona, but she rejected him! If we hook up, Fiona will get jealous of me, and Sonic will get jealous of him! Then we switch off!"
Tails (seriously considers it) "Eh. Why not? I don't have anything ELSE to do in this continuity."
(25 years, and 2 college age kids later)
Tails (reading the newspaper) "...I don't think this plan of yours is working."
Mina (making breakfast) "Any year now... kukukuku (insane evil laugh)"

Though, I have to admit, if I had been doing the 25yrs later deal, I would've taken to opportunity to do a lot of Retconing. A LOT.

It's a POSSIBLE future, folks - just like the one that the alternate Lara-su came from.
The editor said so in the comic itself, and with the title now rid of Penders, his attempts at sabotaging the plot of the actual continuity towards his own pet are now hopefully going to cease.
I hate M25YL with a fireyfireyevil burning passion. Sorry. The actual continuity of the story hasn't moved much in the last year... since RTAI, really. Everything since has been pointless to teh continuity or baby steps. If it has to come back, pleeeeeease make it quick and painless.
Noting that Kender Suprise is gone for good, his (miscarried and mutated) brain child will have died with him and we can all live happy in the knowledge that Lara probably died in that freak accident in the only eventful issue of the series.
He's not gone yet.. he still has two more issues of the current arc, and after that, there's a M25yl 2-parter.
I LIKE Lara-Su. I LIKED Reunification. I HATE M:25YL, and am glad to bid it bon voyage forever. Ahahahaaaaaaaaaaa....
