THE ACTION & EXCITEMENT OF SONIC THE HEDGEHOGS CLASSIC ADVENTURES LIVES ON IN SONIC THE HEDGEHOG ARCHIVES #7!
In November, 2006, Archie Comics offered Sonic readers both new and old the opportunity to relive the earliest adventures of their favorite hero with the release of SONIC THE HEDGEHOG ARCHIVES #1. Now, here we are on the eve of the release of the 7th volume, and everyone agrees: this new classic reprint series is a hit! Fans are jumping at the chance to travel back in time to where it all began. Back in 1993, Sonic the Hedgehog sped his way from video games to comic books. Almost 200 issues later, "the blue blur" can lay claim to having the most successful comic book career of all video game heroes. Now, SONIC THE HEDEHOG ARCHIVES, a thrilling series of upscale reprints, lets you revisit Sonics early days in a premium yet affordable format. These special 5 x 7 & inch editions contain 112 action-packed pages, faithfully re-colored and printed on superior stock, with a low cover price of only $7.49 US! Picking up where the SONIC THE HEDGEHOG ARCHIVES #6 left off (which reprinted the original Sonic series issues #21 through #24), SONIC THE HEDGEHOG ARCHIVES #7 brings fans these classic tales from issues #25 through #28 including the first comic book appearances of Metal Sonic, Amy Rose, Sonics betrayal of the Freedom Fighters and the solo story that led to Tails own mini-series! Stories include:
Go Ahead, Mecha My Day (issue #25): Robotnik kidnaps Amy Rose so he can lure Sonic into a duel with his newest creation, Metal Sonic! First appearance of both Amy and Metal!
Way, Way, Way Past Cool! (issue #26): Robotnik attempts to put Knothole into a deep freeze, but luckily the Arctic Freedom Fighters arrive to thaw and thwart his chilling scheme!
Fortified (issue #26): A twisted ankle for the blue blur leads Sonic and the Freedom Fighters to refuge in an abandoned fort. Will it be enough to protect them from Robotniks rampaging onslaught?
Scrambled Hedgehog (issue #27): A case of amnesia makes Sonic an easy mark for Robotnik, who convinces our hero to give away Knotholes secret location! Will Sonics memory return, or will his betrayal be permanent?
Saturday Nights All Right for a Fight (issue #28 ) : Continuing his traitorous ways due to his memory loss, the Freedom Fighters need all the firepower they can muster to defeat their once-great champion!
Growing Pains Part 1 (issue #28 ) : In the aftermath of Sonics betrayal, Tails sets course in his Sea Fox for an uncharted island. There he meets and must save Fiona Fox, who the dastardly Robonik kidnapped, in this prelude to Tails first mini-series.

Oh man. I honestly think that's one of the best covers Spaz has ever done. I would pay big cash for that as a poster or something.
Surprised at such a huge gap between vol. 6 and 7 but it looks worth it...
If there's one plot point that never gets old in comics, it's the mind controled hero, or the bad guy who likes to screw with the perceptions of the good guys!
Yep, reminds me of when Norman Osborn drugged Spider-Man into flying around in the Green Goblin outfit and made him attack all his loved ones.
