I don't want to speculate as to how or why the Archie blurbs turn out the way they do. I know there is a chain of people through which they travel and Many Hands (remember him/her/them?) may be involved, from Archie right through the folks who edit/publish order catalogs (i.e. Previews, online catalogs, etc.).

For example, at some publishers, the editor may write a blurb that accurately reflects the contents of the story, but someone in marketing who has had no contact with the story at all may "tweak" the blurb to make it more "saleable." These tweaks may actually turn out to be the exact opposite of what the story contains, but the marketing people wouldn't know that. (Read Dilbert. You'll get the idea.)

I know of times when editors at various publishers had books that were running so late that they had no idea what might be in the issue for which they had to write a blurb, so they pulled a description out of thin air: "In this issue, Hero Woman fights her deadliest foe with the lives of dozens at risk." The description paints an exciting picture without having any details that could later be contradicted by the actual story published.

This kind of thing isn't confined to comics. It's the danger any publisher faces when they have to write solicitations months in advance of publication on material that is currently in production.

The art for 156 isn't half bad. i kinda like it. but i don't want to see it for no more then 5 issues. It's a shame that the Sonic X covers are just screenshots.

the people at archie can "undo" basically everything that another one does. and that annoys the crap out of me.

another Example: the way i would've handled the chosen one story. I would have made it that All the Realities that Master Mogul destroyed Stay destroyed. thus eliminating Zone stories.

I hate Zone stuff. i just do. it's a stupid idea that has been Overused by other books and has caused the death of some.

But what will happen in #156 will stay the same. Sonic rushes in and saves the day. like he always does. everyone lives happily ever after. Even the badguy. who never dies.

1) I'm a Knuckles fan first and foremost. I haven't seen anything worthwhile on his front to keep me reading. That's why it wasn't really all that hard to convince me to go get a Sonic X subscription. ;p The only reason I've been collecting the comic for nearly the past year was due to having a long subscription based on hope which wasn't rewarded with anything but stories I despised more than just about anything I've ever read in my history of the comic. One issue of pointless fighting, I can live with, but not 4. I can't stand the existence of Evil Mobius (or Zonic) due to their recurring natures and an extended period of those characters aren't anything I care about either.

2) If/when I hear of the characters I care about actually doing something, I may buy the issues but I'm surely not getting all of them every month. I'm not that interested in what's going on.

3) I have a bunch of issues (basically everything since #141 with the exception of #145 and maybe #144) that I'm in the process of figuring out what I want to do with in the long haul in terms of selling or whatever. I'll admit that Ian actually writing has me semi-intrigued, but I can wait. I'm done getting several issues I don't want with only 1 (maybe 2) being something I don't mind.

I like to think there would be away for this other man to take over and not marry Sally, one would just have to be creative. If Sally gets married it might end Sonic and Sally's relationship. Even if the marriage doesn't last, I might see Sonic and Sally relationship as being tainted forever depending on how it is handled. I would not mind if something happens that Sonic can't fix, like a major death(depending on the character and how it is done); I just don't want that thing to be Sonic and Sally.

Hmm. Sonic beats crap out of Evil Antione. Good Antione comes back. Sonic beats crap out of Evil Antione. Sonic sends Evil Sonic and Antione back to Evil Mobius. I beat crap out of whoever thought of this plotline.

I can't speak for Ultra Devil Chao, but it would make for an interesting plot point and possibly push romance issues into the background for a while.

Sally marrying anti-Ant? Kinda makes sense in writing terms. Once the regular Antione comes around, with Sally possibly married to an alternate version of him, and Bunnie thinking her and Sonic are a couple (Thanks to Anti-Sonic). It would come to a huge boiling point.

I have to agree with True Red. As a Knuckles fan, it drives me nuts that they are not using him in F.F. missions while he's in Knothole (is it new Mobotropolis now? I forget). I know he's not an official member of the F.F. (just stuck with the Chaotix), but he's the second biggest Sega character, and he's hardly been seen this past year. Not even any side stories. Instead we get cutesy junk about the little kids in Knothole watching a play or having a story told them. What gives?

I guess this is something I should've asked Ken Penders last week. Knux is one of his favorites.

We've seen cameos of the Chaotix in nearly EVERY story, but they haven't had much contributement to the plot. =(

(We saw them listening in Sally's meeting in #152, and them training with Sonic in #153)

But, that's all.

Hopefully, Archie will start a Knuckles backstory continuity, which lasts 10 or so issues. We need another Knuckles arc!

I disagree. I'd prefer Knuckles (and Tails) to be featured more prominently in the main stories rather than to have their own spinoff stories.

Ideally, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles should be present on each "mission," with other characters depending on the mission. This could work because each is a representative of three different groups: The Freedom Fighters, Brain Trust, and Chaotix. Other members of these groups could be included as dictated by the needs of the team for the particular mission.

You're right. I would appreciate Knuckles having some major plot points in the main stories, not just small cameos.

And your mention of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles together reminded me of the Sonic Heroes PC game I just got for my BDay! I'm going to go play!

I like the idea of the three going on a mission. After all, those three are the main heroes!

I have to say it again, I don't want Sally to marry Anti-Antione, I don't care if it would make sense or be better plot wise. I want Sonic and Sally to get back together, I don't want their friendship/relationship to end forever. Plus, I don't Sally to be married to an evil creature.

Sorry if I sounded too emotional, I just had a discouraging moment earlier today about this. I would be fine if Sonic and Sally just stayed friends for now and take their time getting back together, it would probably be good for their relationship, as long as either of them were not involved with someone else(no matter the reason)in the meantime. This is how I think Archie should cut the relationship drama.

I understand how True Red feels, I care about Sonic and Sally as much as she cares about Knux. One of the reasons(besides the ebb and flow of the quality of the stories) that I have not considered getting a subscription is because of how Archie treats Sonic and Sally, putting them though all that relationship drama and everything. It has gotten past being too much.

I'm debating whether I should get another subscription. I'm really only reading it just for the sake on what happens to Remington and out of nostaglic fan...ness, but so far, most of the recent comics have been doing little to me. I might just consider the Sonic X subscription now, that is, if I like it.

I think people are looking at this the wrong way. If it is a matter of Sally marrying Anti-Antoine, it's probably gonna be a case of a practical marriage (as Max had wanted Sally to marry Antoine way back when) put forwards with the Anti-Antoine secretly planning to gain royal power from it - and someone will most likely figure out that it's not the real Antoine and step in to stop the whole thing. So why are people acting as though Sally is gonna willingly perminently marry the jerk or something?

I hope Evil Sonic doesen't get sent back to his home planet just to get beat up. I want him to stay with Rouge and have a face-off with Shadow. Who is the real faker? Heh heh...

Dramatically speaking, forced arranged marriages like these are always going to be interrupted by the hero just as the priest says "Does anyone here have any objections to this union?"

I understand what both of you, Crazy Cham Lea and Lonewolf, are saying and I think that the wedding will probably be stopped. I just got a little upset that some fans think it is a good idea.

So you have the preview for #156 huh? What about 154 and 155? Also, the way I think part of the Evil Antione story should be resolved is that the Evil Freedom Fighters should come to Mobius and realy give it to Evil Sonic for leaving them behind. Afterall, after beating down the others Sonic left Evil Rotor concious so he could operate the zone portal generator to get Sonic home. Evil Rotor could then explain this to the others once they come to and Antione could persuade to go after Evil Sonic so they could give him what he rightfully deserves. This seems like the most likely way Antione will ever get back to the Mobius he knows and loves since neither he nor Sonic really recognized each other in #151. Besides, can you imagine just what would happen if Evil Sally and Bunnie caught Evil Sonic with Rouge? They would tear him apart limb from limb, and just think of the cat-fight that would happen between them and Rouge! It would be absolutely hysterical just trying to see Evil Sonic worm his way out of that situation. If that would happen in a future issue as the whole Evil Antione story gets resolved, I would by the issue just for that. Are you listening out there Archie Comics?

Just make sure Antione gets home and back to his life, Evil Sonic gets the crap beaten out of him from all parties involved from both worlds, and Ron Lim is not involved with the production of whatever issue this happens in in any way, shape, or form and no one gets hurt.

One way or the other this looks like its going to be a good story (unless penders messes it up)lets all look forward to the issue. Also i am not a fan of knux but he should get more stories but he makes a return in #155 and #156 so enjoy.

Zonic the Zone cop will show up

or

The Chaotix will help a cure the King and he'll stop the wedding from happening

or

Sonic and Zonic will show up with the real Antione expose the imposter for who really is, and Bunnie and Antione back together and Sonic and Sally (possible or not)temporly wed until the King gets better.

But that's just my oponion.
