ok, i'm wondering who this "duel" will feature. i'm not even sure of possible candidates except a possible sonic vs robotnik rematch but i think currently robotnik would get owned unless he pulls the same trick that classic robotnik did, amp himself up with technology and have homefield advantage.
possibly a knux vs enerjak.... but i just can't really see that as it seems more focused on robotnik.

Ian has refused to elaborate on who has a target painted on their forehead because that would spoil the surprise.
Ian can pretty much do what he wants to the cast, and I will, too.

Ian better not kill off Sally. There are those characters I think should be untouchable, as in not get killed off, and Sally(as well as the rest of the FFs)is one of them.
Now I want him to kill Sally off just to spite you. By sniper bullet, no less. Then Gala-Na will pick Nicole off the ground... sending long-time readers into a frenzy. Names will be called, teeth will be gnashed... and Ian would be accused of trying to shoehorn politics into our beloved fiction.

he just said that everyone is a target. and i'd love to see sally (the most useless main character right now) get killed off just to stop all of the complaining about how the comic should be more like SATAM and how sally and sonic should be together.

As for a duel... how about King Max (assuming he's moving since being "recovered" in #170) vs Robotnik? They've never had one and we already know that Knothole is basically going down anyway as per #175/6 info. I'd think Knothole going down would be the event that shakes up the book for the foreseeable future. That's not to say something else isn't supposed to happen, but that's an extremely "Mobian-shattering" event. From beginning to end, they've always had Knothole as a place of refuge. Only for a brief period was Knothole not safe (during Endgame) and that was rectified rather quickly same as any other semi-danger periods for it. Even when Knothole became complete public knowledge, it has been pretty safe.
completely disregarding the boycotting comment, i'm not sure about a king max/robotnik fight. it seems like it just wouldn't be that exciting. not to say that it couldn't happen, but just that i can't imagine who would want to see it.

And danged if Scourge doesn't have it coming. Second choice: Knuckles vs Finerjak/Remmyjak/Jak and Daxter whoever. That would be so boss.

if it features enerjak at all, then i'll be happy.
I haven't actually read anything dealing with the "present" since #166 other than the Chaotix story in #169, but I'm under the impression that the whole "Enerjak"-thing is something that'll happen later on down the line so I wouldn't be expecting that to factor into the duel being mentioned. I could be wrong of course. ;p

Honestly, I think Robotnik is going to capture all the residents fo Knothole-with a second wave of Egg Grape thingies-and roboticize them, stopping Sonic once and for all-since he won't be fast enough to evade them AND save everyone.

Pretty much, that's correct. Of course I do believe they made some kind of exception for the Dulcy story back in #155/156. But in general, yes, roboticization has been written out.
But the Dulcy story happened before the Xorda story in the timeline, or so it seems from Sally's hairdo, am I correct?

Rotor & Bunnie were in their post-Sonic #130 looks though. I'd have to agree that going by Sally's hair isn't really the best. Each artist makes it a different length.

Is Archie going to collect the whole series up to the current issues in tades? If so it's gonna take for ever is they only collect 4 issues per trade. That'll be 42 trades to collect the series up to where it currently is.
Cant wait to see what happens. More drama, and its about time for a big scenario to happen. hope they dont kill off too many characters though... o.o; I mean, with all the characters they could kill one off every comic and still be able to reach #500. XD

You know...I just realized (and it may speak to how astute I really am)...that Sonic X #20 was written by a pair of guys who also write a column for Tips & Tricks magazine. I guess that's why T&T seems to be all gushy every month over Archie Sonic and the Sonic X cartoon...they've got guys on the inside.

Yes, Diamond Comics is shipping Archives #3 next week--and most comic shops deal with Diamond Comics.
