Mind you, they are already part of the Sonic crew but I have to yet heard (or read) about these two in the comics.
Would you, the reader, purchase (or continue your subscription) a comic featuring either Silver or Blaze (or both)?
NOTE for Mods: If they are featured in a comic already, I'd like to know what issue was it and Cj this topic 'cause I don't know where I'm standin'
Blaze was in a two-parter (#160-161) written and drawn by Tania Del Rio. Wasn't terribly eventful, though. Silver the psychic dork has yet to appear. I think he could be a fun addition.
Oh, I don't know... does the comic really need another adolescent time-jockey with special powers?
In order to become a cast member, Silver would only have to travel through time once. That would strand him in the 'present' but being temporally dislocated is a character building experience.
I know.
Not to mention, it will corrupt the story even more.
...and I'm also getting a Sonic X Eli-- *shot*
EDIT: lol same idea, Mag.Dreamer.
I personally don't think that Sega has to stick to the exact origin of Silver from the games. I mean, sticking exactly to how a character is introduced in the game isn't exactly how they've done things in the past.
However, I must say I'm against Silver coming into the comic. I'd like to see the Sonic Rush arc resolved, but I'm in no mood to see another Hedgehog come into the comics. Silver's in the games, Scourge is in the comics: it all works out.

In terms of hedgehogs, the comic also has Jules, Bernie, Chuck and Rob O' the Hedge. The game-based hedgehogs are outnumbered. =P
The Sonic comics have no need for the Trunks wannabe. Scourge is enough as it is.
Touche.
Silver isn't needed right now. we got enough with sonic, scourge, and shadow appearing to have pretty active storylines. enough front-runner hedgehogs we'll never get story advancing for any of the established characters
