I've been searching high and low for any site out there that has detailed summaries of older issues, but I'm not looking for a "review," where whoever is writing the piece rates what they did or didn't like about the story or throws in their own commentary about the events in the stories. I have found Silver Starr's summaries on her site (here) which is exactly what I'm looking for, actually. However, that site, while still being updated regularly, is only current through issue #68 as of earlier today. Those summaries are detailed, go scene by scene and describes everything that happened in the story down to even some of the smallest details and does not clutter up the summary with personal commentary which, while sometimes entertaining, are at the end of the day only one person's opinion, and everyone's opinion is different than everyone else's. I really just want to find a site that just states what happened in the issue and that's it. Or at least if it is a review, there's a section of the review that gives detailed summaries before launching into the writer's own opinions of what happened in the story. I lost touch with the entire series around the time the Knuckles comic was canceled and haven't actually read the issues since, although I've been following the series ever since, lurking on the boards and am fairly aware of what I've missed, though all of my information is coming from overviews I've read on Sonic HQ's brief summaries, Wikipedia or the Mobius Encyclopaedia.
For a few weeks now, I've been searching for any site that can give me the details of what happened in each issue (Sonic, Knuckles, the various 48-page specials and mini-series. Heck, even Sonic X, which I know little to nothing about, actually) of this series (that are still currently being updated and not years behind!) and have had very little luck outside of finding Silver Starr's site. Anything else I have found has either been some brief synopses that don't give information on a lot of the smaller details in a story or have not been updated in months or even years.
The reason why I'm anti-reviews is simply because whether or not the person liked the story affects how they tell what happened in the story, so while some reviewers are fairly detailed in explaining what happened, they're more concerned with explaining what they did or didn't like and why, instead of focusing on explaining just what happened in the story. Since I actually did miss over 100 issues of this series and would be relying on summaries to tell me what I've missed, I don't really want to sort through "This part was awesome because of this reason" or "That part sucked because of that reason." Nothing personal against people who review the stories, I'd just like to be able to have a straight-forward summary that is more detailed than a brief paragraph somewhere.
Does anybody know of a site that I just haven't stumbled across yet that is current and has summaries dating back to at least #65 or #70? That is the period where I started losing interest at the time, and unfortunately for me, that's all the farther Silver Starr's incredible summaries are at this moment, though I have been eagerly anticipating updates since I found it. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!
I don't know any site that has only summaries. Only reviews.
Much as Drazen gets the flap around here for his opinion he's pretty good at giving the facts. He does manage to write a summary of the events in the issue before he gets into the actual review. Believe it or not I actually found it helpful a few years back when Wikis weren't around.
And any issues he didn't cover (basically the old as dirt stuff) are in the Sonic Archives being reprinted. You might be able to pick those up if you really can't find what you're looking for. They're in the 30s-40s now I believe.

He also skipped Penders' last story arc and Ian's first story arc. Drazen is usually fairly good with getting details, but he has misinterpreted, and gotten things wrong before. He does usually insert his opinions in his summary of the story, so if that bugs you too much, you might not like that.
I looked again and noticed he did which is strange because he mentioned both archs in his Best / Worst for that year ... as the Best (Birthday Bash) and Worst (The Good, The Bad, And The Unknown) archs of that year.

That was when he decided to give up the comics again. Unlike the last time it really seemed like he had. He did eventually come back, but the Best/Worst indicates that he did read System Reboot and Birthday Bash. I don't know if he'll ever review them in depth, but he does have them.
Hey, thanks for the link to that site. ^^
I did not get that detailed when describing what happened in the Knuckles-related stories at Knuckles Haven (until I could no longer pretend I was interested in the series; I think the last one I did was #148 or 152/3), but I did keep my opinions out of it 99% of the time. The only thing is I only posted what happened in stories with Knuckles or the Chaotix (as that website of mine focuses soley on Knuckles).
