Ok, here's an idea i've been throwing around, what if we could make a schedueled chat for the forum?
i know that it seems redundant, but i was thinking with all the topics we disscus here that we could plan a time within the next couple weeks to get together in a massive chat and talk about the comic. i got the idea from When Dirk said that him and EE were talking on AIM. so if anyone has a good time to do it in mind please post.
i'm doing this mostly because i've seen it work well on other forums, and even though posting in topics is great and all, i think it's a little bit more fun to chat, instead of waiting for someone else to post in your topic or wait for someone you know to join in the chatroom.
I'm all for it.
Except for the fact that I'm on the other side of the planet. =P
But, if anyone else is up for it, I'm sure I can squeeze in time and hopefully discuss the comic with you all.

I don't think I can commit to a certain time, unfortunately. However, I'm in chat reasonably often and anytime you see me there just say "hey, Dirk, what do you think of ___________?" or something.
that's what the goal is though, so we can arrange a certain time in the future to get a massive chat together, that's why we're doing the planning in advance so people can find the spare time.
but if you still can't, then you will be missed.
Well, I'm up for it. I might end up taking my laptop to work or something. It all depends on the time.

Chats're okay once in a while, but I like an exchange of views somewhere more static, where people can have debates develop gradually.
true, but still maybe we could find a time that works for everybody....... however doubtful that may seem.
I tried once. I never understood how this chatroom system worked.
I wouldn't mind a chat. I hardly ever have find time for them tho- maybe you should PM all those who respond a week or so before the intended date to prepare. I definitely CANNOT do any wendsday (three classes in a row, last one ends at 9:00 PST, not counting the bus trip home)
If the chat ever goes down and I can't squeeze in it, please post a transcript.
wednesdays aren't that good for me either, tuesdays and thursdays work well for me, i always have a day off. (not including school there but still)
