Yep. You can also find this issue as "#0" instead of "#1/4". This was part 1 of the original 4-part miniseries. After that, they started the mainseries with issue #1.

If you don't want to pay $25 for this on Ebay, it's been reprinted along with the other three parts of the miniseries in the Sonic Beginnings Trade Paperback.

That's not exactly the case, Ethan. It's not issue #0, although the content is the same. It was a promotional comic given out by Sega shortly before the series began, and it featured the first part of #0's main story.

You're not missing out, per se, on owning the the comic - there's no exclusive content in it - it's just more of a collectable (considering it's essentially the first Archie!Sonic comic ever released).
