Love the art.

Like the fact that the story is more lighthearted than usual.

Like that Del Rio's art isn't "manga-ish" as it usually is.

However, I DO NOT like the fact that the Sonic/Tails fued is over without any proper resolution. What happened? Did they talk it out? Did Sonic's parents intervene? WE don't get that. Instead, Tails is buddies with Sonic again, with Sonic calling him "lil' bro". Also, the whole "evil Sonic kissin' all the girls" problem is just resolved with a sentence.

That's a major problem with alot of Sonic story arcs, They are either resolved with a simple sentence, or a poor backstory (chosen one).

"Mister Needlemouse". Ah, Ian, I can already tell you're exactly what this comic needs. And this is the first time in a long while that I've been excited to see what happens next.

"Let's call me sixteen from now 'til forever" It's another "resolving simple sentence".

Well, Humzeker sux. Let's banish fluorescent green.

That's not what it's going to look like in the final printed version. thanks to Matt Herms for this comparison, which he posted on Ian's board.www.odonstavern.com/herms/stuffs/comparison.jpg

The one on the left is what we've seen, and the one on the right is closer to what we'll see in print.

I noticed Sonic's eyelids change color randomly within just the few pages scanned... one minute, they're blue (like the official games), the next, they're fleshy (like the OLDER, pre-Sonic X official games). Admittedly, it's only in this page, but still...

Just a thought.

Alright, sorry, didn't say anything, will count to ten next time. 😉 There's a noticable difference on the green bird.

Well her art looks like that because she doesnt have a lot of experience drawing Sonic characters I think once she get the hang of it, it gonna be better.
Can't wait to read to the complete product :thumbsup .

Tania del Rio (like most artists) has a set style and either you like it or you don't. That's all there really is to it. It's the same way I can't stand Art Mawhinney though he's not "bad"--I just can't really appreciate it. Personally, I love her style despite it being different. Maybe she'll change it, but other than Spaz (who has drawn so many different Sonic styles), I can't remember any artist that's drawn for Sonic to alter their style much.

so wait, what is happening in those scans? and where did they come from?

i don't really care about the Blaze the cat one, but i'm curious about the one with the green guy.

EDIT: ok, i should seriously consider reading a couple pages back. Nevermind!

You make me feel not alone.

And Tanya Del Rio was such the only artist emerging from the mediocrity in 2005 that we can only wait a lot from her.

Now... Why is Bean is so supid? And when will Nack get out of jail? And did Bark and Bean play a significant roll in any other comics?

1) Bean isn't "stupid." You're just seeing his personality.

2) Bean and Bark played a very major role in Ian's fancomic series: Other-M.

Wait a sec... What if... Bean and Bark are caught, placed in Knothole City Prison, and Bark brakes out Bean and Nack, and they form an aliance? That would be nice. It's a long shot, but what if?

Does anyone else find it strange that Locke is the only one guarding the Master Emerald? What's happened to the Dark Legion in all this time?

No one knows what the Legion is doing. It was established back in Sonic #150/151 that Locke was guarding the ME by himself as Angel Island no longer needed the Legion to protect everyone from the dingoes/Robotnik. So, your guess is as good as mine as to what the Legion is doing. Maybe something surrounding Dimitri or the Brotherhood "disappearance." **shrugs**
