What happened to it?
*burp*
It hasn't been advertised yet from what I can recall.

Who ate my delicious copypasta?
TO-BEEEEEEEEEEEE..... >8(
Are they making one? It seems kinda weird that considering how well they sold, we haven't heard anything on the Archives for months...
Not To-be.

I'm just guessing here. But I think STH Archives volume 7 and other number volume's! Will most likely start back up again, maybe around February or even March of 2008, at least I hope so?
From what I've heard, the Archives are doing exceptionally well - so much so that we announced the Sonic Selects Series at San Diego Comic Con this year.
Fear not, loyal readers. There is much more retro goodness to be had.
Speaking of which, is there hope for Knuckles Archives? If so, I have some ideas regarding the format. I think it would be neat if there were 3 issues to a volume, since most of the stories in Knuckles were printed in 3-part sagas, including:
Original #1-3 - Sonic's Friendly Nemesis Knuckles
#1-3 - Dark Legion
#4-6 - Lost Paradise
#7-9 - Dark Vengeance
#10-12 - Lost Tribe
#13-15 - Chaotix Caper
#16-18 - Reunions/Deep Cover
#19-21 - The Forbidden Zone
#22-24 - Dark Alliance
#25 - Childhood's End (SINGLE ISSUE STORY)
#26-28 - The First Date/A Friend in Need
#29 - My Special Friend (SINGLE ISSUE STORY)
#30-32 - King of the Hill
As you can see, a 3 issue format would work really well, and each story arc from the Knuckles series would have its own archive until Knuckles #25, which is a single-issue story. Take a look:
Knuckles Beginnings - Original Mini-series #1-3
Knuckles Archives Volume #1 - #1-3
Knuckles Archives Volume #2 - #4-6
Knuckles Archives Volume #3 - #7-9
Knuckles Archives Volume #4 - #10-12
Knuckles Archives Volume #5 - #13-15
Knuckles Archives Volume #6 - #16-18
Knuckles Archives Volume #7 - #19-21
Knuckles Archives Volume #8 - #22-24
Knuckles Archives Volume #9 - #25-27
Knuckles Archives Volume #10 - #28-30
Knuckles Archives Volume #11 - #31-32
But, if you haaaave to print in quadruples, then it would probably look like this:
Knuckles Beginnings - Original Mini-series #1-3
Knuckles Archives Volume #1 - #1-4
Knuckles Archives Volume #2 - #5-8
Knuckles Archives Volume #3 - #9-12
Knuckles Archives Volume #4 - #13-16
Knuckles Archives Volume #5 - #17-20
Knuckles Archives Volume #6 - #21-24
Knuckles Archives Volume #7 - #25-29
Knuckles Archives Volume #8 - #30-32
It's nice to have thick novels, but this wouldn't be quite as neat. Every archive would start in the middle of one story arc, finish it, and then start the beginning of the next arc. Not quite as neat as each story arc having a single archive (with a 3-issue format) to itself.
Those are just my two cents if you guys are still thinking about Knuckles Archives!
The Sonic Selects in a nutshell:
They will be collecting the best of the material from all past mini-series, specials and the Knuckles series.
While I cannot verify this, I'd assume stuff like the Sonic/Sabrina cross-over and the infamous SSS#15 Naugus story won't make the cut.
Format and release date info is all pending. Trust me, y'all will know when they're coming.
That sounds really good - there's enough content from some of the earlier specials that's probably better off not being revived XD. I'm really looking forward to hearing more about these.
YAY AT NO SONIC SABRINA!
That made me pass out of sheer fear when I read it.
Can you nix that Savage Dragon one too-that was horror in a loaf of bread x_x.
The Sonic/Image crossover was just a cheap ploy for Ken Penders to advertise his own comic book (did that ever end up seeing the light of day?). I think we could give that one a miss too.

Let's not. I adored my brief Spawn cameo appearance. <3
Does that mean that we can count out the special that Penders wrote seemingly solely to have his own kids as the stars, too?
Oh god, I forgot about that. Seriously, how did this guy get so many blatantly egocentric projects to pass?

I completely forgot about that issue, I hope not to see it in favor of a better story.
Glad to see the archives are doing very well. I'll be looking forward to them to help fill the gaps in my collection.
Archives are awesome...and this Sonic Select series sounds real promising...who cares about the specials, the fact that it mentions the Knuckles series is good enough for me.
Could care less about the Sonic Live main story, SSS #7,(though Ian Droid would've been a decent villian in Knuckles 20YL), the last story of SSS8, Sonic/Sabrina crossover (though I'd like to get Sabrina #28 and the Archie Halloween special just for collection purposes), the Zone Wars story in SSS#14, and Naugus games in SSS#15.
Pointless to reprint Sonic Firsts. I think the Director's Cut of #50 should replace the actual #50 in a future archives but when shown, have the #50 cover shown before the story cause SSS6's cover was terrible.
I would love to see a cover remake of Triple Troble and Mecha Madness for a selects cover!
OP, you sig is waaaaaay too big. Resize or remove, please =)
